I felt it was only right to write a review for Dr.Williamson. At first I was a bit skeptical about this place because of all the horror stories I have heard about dental procedures on this island, even though I love my current dentist, which was the one that referred me to this place. Anyway, as soon as I was giving a room they noticed that I had goosebumps and they went ahead and gave me a blanket. This was such a nice gesture because it was freezing in there. Dr.Williamson came in to check up on me as he was very friendly. I honestly though the procedure(removal of wisdom tooth) was going to take at least thirty minutes. But before I knew it the tooth was out. I kid you not it took less than two minutes for the whole procedure. I was beyond relieved because I’ve had some not so good experiences with removing my wisdom teeth back in the mainland. Out of four wisdom teeth taken out this was by far the best experience I’ve had and totally recommend Dr. Williamson. Plus they validated my parking

I had all 4 wisdoms extracted. 2 were impacted and needed stitches. I chose to undergo general Anastesia. The procedure was performed well and professionally. I deduct one star because I was charged MORETHANDOUBLE the original estimate and the office clerks said that although they«usually keep copies of the original, they were unable to locate mine.» I’ll be spending lots of time of the phone with them and the insurance company They lose another star for aftercare. maybe it was because I was out of it, but I didn’t feel that aftercare was adequately explained. When I called back a few days after the procedure, because I suspected I had dry sockets and was in an immense amount of pain, Dr. Williamson was less than compassionate When I returned to have the dry sockets treated, he packed them with all the tenderness of a coked out gorilla. I created such a scene that I think I scared the children in the waiting room.

Dr. Williamson is calm and does great work. The problem is the one main office person. They also would’nt let me leave without paying, but they overcharged me. The main office woman spent more time arguing with me about how their red stamp says that the dental insurance may pay something differently(my insurance paid them a lot more than what she quoted to me), and advised me that I need to wait 6 weeks for my refund. Then Dr. Williamson advised me that they hardly perform TMJ surgery these days, that the procedure arthrocentesis is the one that I would need. I saw him on a Saturday, so they told me the«keeper of the code book»(probably that same main office person) would have to call me on Monday with an estimate. No one called me. I called 5 days later, and the main office person wasted time arguing with me that arthrocentesis is TMJ surgery(when the surgeon said otherwise etc). She argued with me, instead of apologizing for not calling me with the estimate, nor did she give me the estimate. The main thing is to get the actual oral attention that you need — Dr. Williamson is a surgeon that knows his stuff, and he will take care of your dental/oral needs. You just have to put up with that One person regarding the paper trails.

Awful awful awful. I went there to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Because my wisdoms were impacted, I had no choice but to take them out, and since my regular dentist doesn’t do surgery, I was referred here. I have HDS but I still had to pay for MOST of the procedure out of pocket. The surgery itself went fine. After, when it was time to pay, I gave them my debit card, and I knew that I had(barely enough) to cover the cost. They came back and told me it was denied, and they wouldn’t let me leave. My dad came and checked my balance at the ATM; the exact amount for the procedure was missing from my account. I expressed this as best I could with pen and post it(because my mouth was bleeding), but they dismissed it. My parents paid and we went to the bank. Turns out the amount was removed from my account and what happened was they double-swiped it, so OFCOURSE it was denied; I didn’t have enough to pay for the procedure twice. The pièce de résistance: nobody apologized to me even once, not in person, not over the phone. If you take anything away from this review it’s this: AVOID! EDIT: I take that back; the surgery wasn’t fine. They stabbed me with needles about half a dozen times before they properly found a vein. I just remembered this. EDITEDIT: Also, I have recently been informed that I didn’t need general anesthesia, as I was told by their staff; I could have gotten local anesthesia. Guess which one costs more.
