Service is prompt and efficient. Though you may be the only one in the store(depending on the time of day), you will be quickly greeted and occasionally checked-up-on, though not in an invasive way, as you peruse the small store’s many post-plantation-style savory, sweet, and sometimes spicy, goodies. Very good innovations this company does… visit your nearest WU or WU Express branch every couple of weeks or months, and you can see new experiments in flavor/texture/ingredients and weird-ass blends develop. I bought Dark Chocolate Pistachio(7 oz for $ 6.50 plus tax) and Wasabi Lotus Root Arare(also 7 oz., $ 2.65 plus change). The arare KICKEDMYTASTEBUDS’ A – ; it uses actual wasabi powder, not watered-down vaguely wasabi-esque flavoring – so the experience was like chomping down on a wasabi-ified nigiri-sushi for the first time. AWOO-EE! Taster beware… not for the faint of tongue(or lungs). :) A few minutes later, though, I was grindin’ away on the hot little crackers, alternating with the bittersweet chocolate pistachio nuts, taking my heated wasabi lumps like a champ. Sales clerk gave me bus fare-friendly change and a hard-copy receipt, as I had requested. I know this is basic customer service, to heed an oral request, but you’d be surprised how many retail workers don’t hear you or don’t listen or simply forget to fulfill your request, even if it’s been made a few minutes ago, and even when you are the only customer in the store. Or they might ask you to repeat it, or themselves repeat it, then inevitably get part of it wrong(«You said you needed coins for – what wazzat? laundry? Huh?»). But the worker was competent, polite, and on-track. He didn’t need to repeat my request; he simply, quickly, and accurately fulfilled it. Lots of evidence of competent hiring and training here.

The last time I was here was my first time, now two years later, coming back to Oahu, everything is just as delicious as before if not better! Both ladies were really friendly and answered questions I had about different products which range from cookies, to local snacks, to mixes, and of course I left with an entire sack full of Party Mix(it’s addicting, try it and you will completely understand!). My family and friends in Cali are going to be happy when I fly back, if the Party Mix lasts until then, that is!

I have been going to Wholesale Unltd Express at Mapunapuna for quite a few years now, and always enjoy picking up treats for my family and friends living on the outer islands. The staff is waaay friendly, too! But as much as I love the local food products there, I can’t get over how quickly the prices have jumped(often within the year!). I’m a big fan of the Marlin Jerky, and the ono cod fish. But man, the cost per package is almost $ 15! And yes, I understand that seafood market prices do go up, and they need to adjust for inflation… but still… ouch. Next step is me buying a food dehydrator to make my own marlin jerky. But I’ll still go to Wholesale for the cookies and furikake chips… yum!

OPENCHRISTMASEVE! I work in the same building structure & realized last night that I had to buy a gift for ONE more family! I was so DREADING having to walk over to the mall after I finished work today(I wasn’t about to attempt driving over… I’m sure parking must be crazy!) to buy a gift card or hunt for a gift & then walk back to work to get my vehicle. HOWEVER, lo & behold! Wholesale Unlimited is still open & going strong at 2pm! A few items are already sold out & a few others are getting low but overall they still have a HUGE selection of crack seed, li hing fruit, arare & candies. They also have a small selection of Christmas gift packages & even offer to put in tissue paper for you! Talk about CONVENIENCE! & prices are GREAT! I filled up an entire gift bag & only spent $ 40! Mahalo Wholesale & Merry Christmas to you!

Their cherry on the rocks is really good. They do not add a lot of extra ingredients. Their party mix is also good. Lots if flavor.

This location is really convenient for me being that it’s close to home and I needed to pick up some Arare before movie night. Yes. I’m one of those who sneaks in kakimochi in a show. What! You know popcorn is not the same without it. lol! Anyway I love how clean and well stocked this location is, except they were out of Seedless Li Hing Cherry.(Supplier has been out for several months). I did manage to purchase a few snacks and mouth watering seed.*drooling*. Wholesale has a good variety of goodies for all occasions and for that last minute Omiyage before flying out. You can be the star on the airplane eating Arare and Dried Cuttlefish *Pinches Nose*. *Helpful Staff *Lots of Free Parking

Lol, the Unilocal deal for a cookie… yes one cookie! I go here for the ketchup fries(I think that’s what they’re called), small bag of french fry like snacks, covered in ketchup. Also curry flavord is peanuts, I like curry so these are great. I don’t see these in too many places. Good selection of different goodies, some you might be able to sample if they have it in the«bin» to taste. Just ask. Parking is easy here, in same lot with Kahala Urgent Care. Chocolate covered gummy bears!

Snacks galore! If you want to bring back goodies to your friends on the mainland, stock up here! They have tons of snacks, and its way cheaper than if you bought them in the touristy areas. They have dried squid, dried octopus, dried fruit, candy, rice crackers, seasoning salts, taro chips, and way more than I can even remember. I just started picking everything up, and ended up spending about $ 70 worth of snacks. The lady in the store even let us try some of the snacks before we bought them. Just make sure you don’t walk in when you’re hungry or you’ll buy everything in sight!

I am so glad there is Wholesale Unlimited Express so we don’t have to drive to the big Wholesale Unlimited to stock up on goodies. Luckily, they have the Taegu that my brother goes nuts for. When I drop by, I usually buy their whole stock. My favorites are there too. Too many goodies to mention. The prices are pretty good for their stuff.

Like a big kid in a candy/snacks store. This place totally takes it. From mochi like balls, to macadamia nuts, to dried squid, to all kinds of rice crackers, the store is full of it. Even with sour patches drenched in Li Hing powder, this store has it all. I actually heard of this place because my other friend who visited before had brought back some amazing dried tako(octopus) and the thing is that I couldn’t find that anywhere in San Francisco. So when the opportunity arrived that I was in Hawaii and able to get some more, I went to town on purchasing up to $ 100 in snacks. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but i guess that much snack is hard to finish, even for me. Some of the favorites we had were the coconut macadamia balls, Li Hing sour patch kids, watermelon snacks, rice crackers(Iso Chidori is amazing), Dried Tako, BBQ flavored Taro Chips, and a few others. The only thing about it is I’m afraid that the snacks don’t last too long once you open them, for certain kinds. The lady at the store was nice, but even then, some of the things are scatttered around and may be hard to find.

The place I go to to pick up snacks to take home for friends and family. Oh, who am I kidding, the place I go to buy snacks to keep myself happy when I’m home. Pretty much any type of snack you can imagine– from arare to cookies to hurricane popcorn, and often in both a smaller and larger size bag. I tend to pick up a lot of li hing candies and arare. Small store, but like I said, it has pretty much everything you need. Small parking lot, but not a particularly busy shopping plaza so I’ve never had a problem finding parking. It’s right across from Kahala mall so it’s easy to find.

This is the place I go to for all my Hawaii goodies! They have crack seeds, li hing gummie snacks, li hing mochi crunch, regular kakimochi snacks, cookies, etc! They definitely have all the things I love. I used to come here to stock up on all my hawaii treats before heading back to the mainland. But, now that I’m back home, I come here to buy care package items so that I can send a little part of hawaii to those that are missing it in the mainland. This place is fairly small but packed with items. The parking lot is easily accessible and it is always easy to find parking. Check it out of you’re craving crack seed or mochi crunch or even those macadamia nut cookies!
