This shouldn’t be listed under «yoga.» Yoga is a sacred practice that should not be mixed with alcohol. Yoga, the true meaning of the word, is the merging of the soul with Ishwara. If you want to drink and exercise, please list it under something else. I’m glad the word Yoga is not reflected in the name of this business/​event/​what have you. This is offensive to some people as it cheapens the practice in favor of commercialism and drinking.

Tried it out. Not my thing. The instructor asked us to hug the strangers around us. Then he wanted everyone to go onto the beach, and after some simple stretches, took a 10 minute break so people could watch and photograph the sunset. But hey… this event was free. The parking was free with a purchase of a liquor ticket. I wouldn’t come here for a workout. The situation is awkward for someone who doesn’t like to be in close quarters with strangers. I wouldn’t do it again. But other people seemed to enjoy it.

What a fun, FREE monthly event put on by the Moana Lani Spa at the Moana Surfrider! It’s a 1 hour yoga class, followed by the opportunity to check out a few local vendors (e.g. jewelry, bathing suits, yoga items, etc.) while also enjoying a glass of wine (or two!). I usually get the $ 5 parking validation (self-​park at Princess Kaiulani) which also comes with a glass of wine. Go early (say, 5:30pm or earlier) to grab a good spot, because it certainly fills up quickly! It’s nice to be closer to the ocean side to hear the waves crashing on the shore throughout the class, although sometimes people stand near there and talk really loudly which can be distracting. A nice reason to venture into Waikiki and focus on yo inner Zen!

This is a great event! But don’t tell anyone because it’s already so crowded. It’s definitely gained popularity since it began last year. Outdoor yoga at sunset, right near Waikiki beach… makes you appreciate our island home! You can hear the waves crashing on the shore during practice. So peaceful. $ 5 gets you validated parking and a glass of wine! Come early.

So nice to do yoga with the sound of the waves and good vibes surrounding you. It seems like a good mix of locals and tourists.

One of the most beautiful, free events in Waikiki! Vino and Vinyassa happens in the back lawn of the Moana Surfrider hotel in Waikiki. It is a (usually) monthly event and is free! The best way to keep updated is to check out their facebook event page, which is usually linked to the Moana Lani Spa.
It is so relaxing to be in a quiet outdoor location with lots of other people doing yoga. Many times the only sound is the waves crashing! The light is beautiful in the evening. If you are of age, you can enjoy a $ 5 glass of wine after the yoga session. There are also some great vendors that come to the event each month! It’s a great time to check out and support local businesses.

yoga and wine what a genius idea!
Location: Moana Surfrider (Waikiki), You really can’t beat the location either, the sunset usually happens right before or during this event depending on the time of the year. During yoga you can hear the waves crashing on the sand and savasana is always the best!
Yoga: Vinyasa (obviously) and teachers from the best studios on the island teach.

After yoga theres Vino and local vendors for shopping.

I had a great time at Vino & Vinyasa! Definitely going back next month. Doing yoga and listening to the waves crashing was the relaxing experience I needed this month. Everything was so beautiful and after was the icing on the cake with vine and a yummy vodka, guava, and lemonade cocktail. It was a fun time to socialized and see what the local venders had to offer. Thanks a bunch guys. I can’t wait till next month.
Tips: it fills up so get there early and claim a spot
Prepurchase your wine tickets when the booth opens
Make sure you check in frequently for the raffle of the day
Example: yesterday if you wore pink you got a free raffle ticket.

Once a month the Moana lani spa hosts a free yoga class followed by wine. Yes I said WINE! What an awesome happy hour idea. Ocean front setting with synchronized yoga to the sounds of the ocean. I am in love. Just sad it’s only once a month.

— if you forget your yoga mat or towel, don’t worry they provide some there.
— bring cash to spend on wine
— they feature local vendors so you can shop while sipping on wine.
