Thanks Anthony for the nice hike. The trail sure has changed over this last year. Nicely graveled with new steps and carpeted, yes carpeted, ramps. Not a mud trap like it used to be. We made it to the falls and back and not even a muddy shoe! It was a small group of 5 which worked out for everyone to stop and enjoy the hike and at times act like kids! We went to Big City Diner afterwards for lunch. Way fun Saturday morning!

Thunderstorm warnings with rain. Anthony C. has planned a hiking UYE. Day 3 of flu symptoms. Will this hold me back from coming to Manoa Falls which is primarily a very wet spot in Honolulu? Hell no! An intimate group of 5 Elite Unilocalsters {host Anthony C., Maka K., Gary N. and David T.} showed up on a somewhat cool Sunday morning. We arrived to find the gift shop currently going under termite treatment. To our surprise, the trail has had some improvements since I first came here last summer where it was very dangerous. Perhaps President Obama came here to hike this past Christmas the trail is very hiker friendly with lots of small rocks in previous areas of mud puddles and blue carpets to walk on instead of slipping. At the very end there is now a bench to sit on! Gary N. showed up in fashion by wearing a sweater and blue jeans! But later he revealed to us that he has tasty blood. Can anyone attest to that? Poor Maka wore the wrong socks as she kept on adjusting them. We also came across a stray dog that showed its rib cage. Unfortunately we had no food. Luckily the weather held up very well and we all completed this short hike. I was very alarmed that Anthony C. will be leaving Oahu in about 3 months so you’d better attend his epic hiking UYE’s before he departs. Thanks Anthony and the others who showed up for this enjoyable morning.
