I went there with a Unilocal voucher for a free Beef Gyoza($ 12). I ordered a Burger with extra cheddar for $ 15. While in the middle of my dish, I started looking to catch the waiter’s attention as if to say ‘did you forget the free Gyoza?’. A couple minutes later, the waiter came back to the table and said he forgot about the Gyoza but he’d bring it asap. After finishing the burger, I got the Gyoza. The burger was below par, and the fries that came with it tasted like… fried fish. I mentioned to the waiter. The Gyoza dumplings were very dry, and the sweet sauce wasn’t very good. When the waiter brought the bill, he said they’d offer the fries(worth $ 3.50)… but after I checked the bill, I realized they counted the Gyoza at full price, coming at a grand total of $ 38 for the meal. Of course I reported this and they made the change, but to me, this is a dirty trick I saw many times in the worst places. Below average food, slow service, dirty tricks. Won’t be back.

Excellent management, awesome views, great food, nice music, fun bar scene — but horrible experience for our group of 16… I give the overall experience a 3, but the service for our group was a 1 or 2. Our group essentially arrived in two waves starting at our reservation of 5pm, and the first round of drinks and apps were just about immediate — but the next round of drinks for the next round of people took 40 minutes. In the meantime, we had ordered our entrees, but the entrees didn’t arrive until 7pm — 2 hours after we arrived, and we had ordered shortly upon arrival at the restaurant. To top it all off, a majority of all food received was cool or even cold. I immediately left the table to have a private discussion with the manager — she was truly lovely, replaced food that needed replaced, and later provided free desserts without asking. Our table should have had two servers but only had one, and I even had to express to management that our server was very tense and borderline rude. She was obviously given a talking as she lighted up. On another note, I think this place is great, loved the bar scene and live music. I just wish that our group’s service was so horrible — but by the time the desserts came at the end, we continued to be jovial and celebrating the wedding of our friends.

I mean let’s not account for location. The atmosphere is literally a breeze, an ocean breeze to be more specific. I ordered beef gyoza, and the mixed grill. The gyoza was sweet spicy, the beef was tender, moderately spiced. The mixed plate was really an interesting dish of fried fish, Korean beef, deep fried pork, macaroni salad, kimchi, and rice. It was ok, it was like a huge sample platter. The fish was the best. The Korean beef was grisle-y, but the flavor was spot on and the pork was difficult to eat hard and crunchy but tender in the middle and lacked in the heat department. Still, 4 stars, I wouldn’t order it again, ever, but it was a good experience for trying different island flavored/dishes. I’m a Californian so I think it needed some serious heat like a jalapeño or maybe Siracha! Good time though!

Nice restaurant with a nice view, whether it be day or night. However, after being here a couple times and trying different dishes, nothing has ever left me wanting more. The service also is not the greatest. Even when we’ve requested to get our bill ASAP and in all fairness we did give our server a heads up right after we placed our order, we still had to wait 15 minutes after we all finished our dishes to get our bill.

The reviews of this place exclaim of the view for the sunset. The prices here wow-ed me just as much. Do check in on Unilocal to get your free Gyozo! I went for Happy Hour(which I do recommend) and ordered two Blue Hawaii’s. Being $ 5, sure I’ll take it. From their menu, the coconut shrimp was good, but I have had better. We also ordered the Ahi Poke, as it’s one of those items you should try while in Hawaii. To me, it was too salty and that overpowered the rest of the taste; I didn’t enjoy it half as much as I’d hoped. The view was pretty sitting on the balcony in the open sun, but I wouldn’t make it a go-to must-eat-at place if you are visiting Honolulu.

A great bar/restaurant right across from Waikiki Beach. It is in the 2nd floor of the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, overlooking Waikiki Beach. It is a great place for a cocktail and /or dinner while watching the sunset. The drinks and food are great… the Gyoza is a fantastic appetizer. I have had the fish-n-chips which are made with local fish, Kajiki, and was terrific. The service was fast, friendly & professional. A must try.

Tourist trap… don’t let the reviews fool you. It’s a fancy overpriced Applebee’s. If you’re a foodie like my girlfriend and I you will not find this place outstanding at all. Service was great food was sub par. Bummed to have spent 100 $+ at this place

Came here for a touristy date night in Waikiki! There’s live music and the balcony view facing the ocean is so peaceful! Perfect for a nice late night meal with the sounds of the waves in the background. Our server was Bobby and he was fantastic! He was super nice despite us being his last table and that we kind of took a while, didn’t make us feel rushed at all and we felt so relaxed. I really appreciated that! We had a full on meal because we were starving. Calamari katsu(I didn’t realize there was shrimp on top so I couldn’t eat it boo.), gyoza and smoked meat to start, butterfish and ribs for our meal(with a yummy drink in a coconut and Long Island. my boyfriend was too embarrassed to get the coconut), and the apple pie and«world’s smallest brownie» for dessert. I liked everything but I especially loved the miso butterfish. I think their current chef used to work at Roy’s, so of course it was melt in your mouth delicious! My friend who comes here a lot always gets their fish, and I’m glad she recommended it! Also, their ocean potion drink was so good! Like a fruit roll up served in a coconut, oh mannn! I definitely recommend this place if you’re trying to do touristy stuff! Plus, I hear they have a mean happy hour so we’ll definitely be back! You seriously can’t beat that service, view and ambiance!

My last night in Hawaii and my friend said this was a good place to hang out with live music, which he was right. The atmosphere was lively and the band was great. Music to the ears with great food and company. We end saw some fireworks out on the patio. I had the best slider ever! Deep fried Soft shelled crab on a taro bun with kimchee on the side! Omg, I wanted another one, but I had control… one is enough, hehe. And their garlic edamame was phenom! My friend had the kalua pork quesadilla… he loved it, but I meh. It just didn’t feel right on my food snob tongue palette. I’m giving it a 3 because of the service. They weren’t busy busy and the service was slow and our waitress didn’t check up on us until we had to wave her down. My friend was in desperate need of ketchup and we flagged another waitress over. She agreed to get the ketchup, but it seemed like she was annoyed that she had to help us. That’s just me, but overall not a bad place to enjoy music and food.

Definitely the best mango mojito and best coconut shrimp we found anywhere on Oahu. The ahi tataki appetizer was also very good. We both had the«seared ahi» as a our main dish. We both generally love seared ahi, but we did not expect it to be served stone cold, which it was, so this dish did not really meet our expectations. On a nice evening, it’s lovely to sit on the deck, across from the beach and enjoy the view and the ocean breeze. Very friendly and prompt service, though I wish our server had warned us that«seared» is Hawaiian for«might have been warm sometime earlier today.» This is not a seafood restaurant. It’s more traditional American comfort food, with a few local seafood dishes thrown in for good measure. Vegetarians would be lost here.

Delicious. I could leave the review at just that. It really is delicious. Service is attentive and friendly. I tried their fresh fish tacos(which were huge by the way), beef gyoza(free with check-in), and later their ahi tartare. All of which were perfectly delicious and really well presented. I found all items to be perfectly seasoned and portioned more than adequately. Pricing is reasonable and on many nights they have a live band. Tiki’s is upstairs at the Aston hotel and has amazing views of the beach. A great package for any meal. I could have eaten here for each meal of my trip, but did end up venturing out. The only location on the beach I found to be as good(if not slightly better) is Hula Grill, but it is definitely a bit more formal than this casual, kick-back and have a drink grill.

minus being a tourist trap this place actually is not bad. This was the first place on the island I got to have loco moco and it was quite nice. My girlfriend and I did the whole tourist deal and got fruity drinks in coconut cups and all that. If your looking for a quick bite near the beach this place is pretty good surprisingly.

My husband and I were in O’ahu on our honeymoon and very randomly stumbled upon Tiki’s as a result of our search for a restroom to change in. Tiki’s is part of the Aston Waikiki, so if you’re not staying at the hotel, you might not necessarily know that it’s there. The place has a pretty chill vibe– it’s got an outdoor, poolside, beach-view bar, as well as an indoor dining area. The husband and I came here several times and opted for the outdoor bar all times. The drinks were pretty good– we had the shark bait(shark bait, ooh-ha-ha), the mai tai, and the hibiscus cocktail(can’t remember exactly what it was called– it had alcohol, that’s about all I remember). Quite possibly the best part about Tiki’s is that they serve you drinks(by request) in a genuine(I assume, anyway) coconut, which you’re permitted to take home. I know that the new husband was definitely amused by how enamored I was by these coconut drinking vessels. I actually came back again to procure a second one. They have live music on select nights– that was pretty cool. The bands that we saw were cover bands, and they were pretty decent. I would definitely recommend this place for good eats, drinks, and tropical memorabilia. Minus one star because seating at the outdoor bar means slightly less attentive service.

This place is on the second floor so isn’t easily noticeable from the ground. Came for dinner one week day evening and it was moderately busy. You can choose either the restaurant(meat and fish dishes) or the bar(burgers fries etc). I ordered the coconut shrimp and the short rib. Both were good and absolutely huge portions. I didn’t need both! Service was great. Prices were pretty high but for the portion sizes it was worth it!

Knock tour socks off service! My meal was brought to me within five minutes of ordering. The food was good and I was especially pleased that mashed potatoes and zucchini were the sides. I grew up in Denver and if I did not have the ocean view. I would think I was dining at a cowboy restaurant in Denver. As a singleton I am used to getting that one table… you know the one that os sort of out there, betwenn the kitchen and the dish drop. Not here – ocean view it was! Lindsay my server was especially attentive and made me feel valued. She also made suggestions but was not pushy. The balance of being helpful but not TOO helpful is a hard skill to master, especially in a high-volume restaurant. Also had dessert and both the crem broulee and the chocolate spring rolls were excellent. . Only flaw was as I approached the service podium initially the two people were jave a conversation, made me feel ognored for the ten seconds that it took to acknowledge me. Will definately be back. Tiki’s rocks!

This place is OK if you are in the area and want a place to relax. The fare is on par for the area and is a little overpriced for what it is. The Unilocal check-in galbi gyoza specials were nice but oddly enough an odd number of 5, which made it tough to sort out who gets the last one ;-)

Great happy hour drinks/specials with a gorgeous view of the beach. If you bring in your receipt the next day, you get a buy-one-get-one free mai tai! I really enjoyed the steak sandwich($ 16). I can’t believe I devoured the whole thing(it was huge, no joke). it’s a large piece of steak, sliced in quarter pieces, sitting on a bun(garlic aoili on one side, cranberry/fruit spread on the other) then topped with leafy arugula in a tart vinaigrette. It was a freakin’ flavor explosion! I really wasn’t expecting the sandwich to win me over like that. Boyfriend’s meat trio($ 16) was meh. Came with kalbi(more like bulgolgi), fried mahi, and fried katsu. It must have not been that good because he normally always finishes his meals. He had no problem eating off my plate though ;) I’d come back for the view, the drink specials, and the sandwich!
