The Tree People

Second time I’ve used the Tree People and couldn’t be happier!
Got 5 estimates on our 40 – 50′ banyan and after talking with Marcus, their arborist, decided that they would do the best job (and I was right). He was friendly, helpful, and informative! He told me exactly what he and his team planned to do, gave me a fair price, and kept me posted over the 2 days it took the job.
This was a huge tree and had branches weighing hundreds of pounds overhanging the house so not a trivial trimming. His team was polite, professional, and got the job done! Marcus followed up after the team left, making sure that everything was as it should be, and that I was happy with the job. Couldn’t ask for a better job nor service! Marcus earns 5 stars for his attention to detail and service! Definitely recommended!

We have hired these guys off and on for over 20 years and every time they have done an excellent job. They handle the really big trees, hanging over power lines and sensitive structures, and understand about tree health and shaping and how they will grow back. Every time the trees have come back beautifully. They listen to our instructions and concerns and were able to give excellent advice. We had them cut back 8 old trees to let the sun in for our solar power installation, and they did a terrific job. Will always come back to them, and always have been very happy with the work.

Will Never Hire Again
I hired this company after getting 3 estimates, that were about the same, because of my husband’s friend’s referral. I was impressed with their estimator who was very professional and knowledgeable. I was told that the job could be done in one day. At the end of the day, the crew left without informing my husband or myself, and left a complete mess in my neighbor’s yard. They left huge tree pieces, branches and leaves in my neighbor’s yard where they broke some of his pottery and even left a huge piece of tree trunk against his sprinkler system. While my husband was trying to get in touch with them, we cleaned my neighbor’s yard which took about 1 hour.
In addition to the mess in my neighbor’s yard, they left a mess in my yard and did not complete the work. When my husband was able to get in touch with someone, we were told that they would come back the following day and finish the job by 1pm (that was the time we told them we had someone where to go and we wanted to make sure the job was finished). They were not done until 3:30pm. Most of the rest of the job they did was satisfactory, but our pine trees were cut in such an ugly fashion, I couldn’t believe it.
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was that I wrote a letter to the company’s owner and did not get any reply. No apology, no acknowledgement, NOTHING!!! I will never hire this company again.
