I really like this bar. There are dart boards and the service is awesome!!! This is my kind of vibe where you can come with your coworkers or friends and just chill and hang out.

This is a great place! The food is fresh and is priced lower than their competitors, and the drinks are very reasonably priced. and the bathrooms are super clean! Additionally, the staff is very attentive and kind. When I stopped by this evening, there was a birthday party going on. Much merriment and song. Recommend for the whole family. 30 years ago, this was a dark, dingy Korean bar. Now it is bright and clean and a comfortable place to hang out.

Shout out to Bruddah George! Thank you for sharing the delicious macadamia nut cake! This place is mellow and felt very homely(which I love). Super easy going crowd with tasty pupus and a variety of drinks. The servers were friendly. Parking may be challenging to find on the streets so come early.

Best place to hang out with friends. Very accomodating and friendly staff. Place is clean, food is good, and atmosphere is mellow — perfect for groups just wanting to hang out with friends, singing karaōke at $ 1/song and just enjoying each other’s company. Drink specials run all day and not only for a limited time like some places. Lots of parking in the back too which is a plus.

I have to admit, better than I thought it was going to be. Lots of mixxed reviews on here(pun intended). But for real, nobody else here, took 20 mins for fries and 25 – 30 for fried rice. That was the worst of it though. The bartender and other people helped occupy my time with pleasant conversation. 2 Dartslive boards and $ 1 karaōke make this a place worth checking out. The food makes this place to check out fo sho. Clean, great food and nice people… do you really expect anything else from a neighborhood bar?

Looked for a sports bar and grill on maps and found this one away from all the craziness. Had the Beef dish and was stunned at how good it was. Watched the game and staggered back to the hotel. Came back the next day had the same thing, because I’m ritualistic like that, and was still amazed. Didn’t drink as much this time. Recommend this place for solo acts, such as my self. The people there, guests and staff, made me feel like I belonged. Recommend this place for groups as well. With the super friendly atmosphere, a couple of groups and a few solo acts could turn into regular party with amazing food to boot. Only regret. Wish I had one more day.

Stopped by the other day for a few drinks. I like how they renovated the bar. Nice & clean! Small beer selection, but the beers were served COLD! Food was good. They have some great ideas to bring in new customers. This place has good potential.

Came here on a Friday night with some friends who suggested we stop in for Mixx’s «grand opening». If it weren’t for the food, I’d probably give this place 1 – 2 stars. First of all, my friend and I were totally overdressed. Oops, we weren’t told by the rest of the group that it would be more appropriate to wear jeans or shorts, and slippers. We got some stares, but whatever. haha! Our fault, nothing to do with the bar itself. Props for the cleanliness of this newly renovated bar(next to Dark Side Tattoo — are they still in business? anyways…), on the corner of Waimanu and Piikoi, across of Kissaten Coffee Bar. The bright yellow walls and maroon booths reminded me of being in a Mexican restaurant for some reason, and not a bar. Nonetheless, cute place for a few drinks and karaōke(not sure how much it is per song, no one was singing!!!) They also had 2 dart boards upon entering. Mixx has definitely an older crowd — as in late 30’s/40’s+… or they did that night we went, anyways. We didn’t mind since we ended up snagging a booth in the corner and we kept to ourselves. Not sure if it were because they were busy for their«grand opening»(I put this in quotes because supposedly this bar has been open awhile now, but they’re only having a grand opening now?) but they set up plastic tables and chairs — kind of tacky, if you ask me. Kimchee Fried Rice — holy yummy. Perfectly seasoned with the right amount of kimchee — and they give extra on top!, they had some sort of meat in the rice(kalbi?) which was so flavorful and tender. Garlic Fried Chicken(?) — I don’t remember what it was called because i didnt order it, but I tried a piece and it was so good! It had some spicy sriracha sauce on it and it was perfectly fried dipped in a garlic/shoyu type sauce. Seriously good stuff. Pulehu Steak — nice presentation. Came sliced, along side onions and steak on a sizzling platter. The taste — meh. Could’ve been flavored more, in my opinion, and it was a little chewy. Pork Chops — can’t give a review cause after ordering it, the server came back and told us they were OUT. BOO! How do you run out of this on a Friday night? The service — ah, our server was«ok». She didn’t come to our table too often and our guy friend had to ask her to buss our table since she left our food plates sitting there as we continued to drink. Probably won’t be back on my own — but hey, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Food was good though!

At first we didn’t know there was parking in the back so we parked on the street, not so happening to have to pass the bums lying on the sidewalk but now that we know there’s parking in the back its all good! The food is excellent there, so far we’ve tried the pulehu steak, poke style edamame, breaded pork chops with lechon relish to eat along with the pork chops its yummy! the fried rice has chopped kalbi and you can order it with a egg on top also ono, and lastly we tried the seared ahi poke which was also very good! The woman’s bathroom is clean, there’s karaōke and two dart boards, overall a good place to hang out :)

Cool Local bar that just opened up a few months ago. It is the perfect place to go after work and have some pupus, a good meal, a few drinks and to sing some cheap karaōke or some play some darts. The bar is clean with a friendly staff. They have a nice simple food menu, I recommend either the edamame or steak for starters. It is a really cool chill place that you can go to relax with a few friends.

Bright, clean spot to go grab some good food and drinks. The menu is pretty limited, but the few items we ordered were super tasty! And the service was prompt and attentive. I know they recently opened up, so they are still figuring out the«vibe» of the place, but there are tv screens for sports, dart boards and karaōke for those who are brave enough to give it a shot(I am not one of those people). Good people own the place too. Very friendly staff, will go back again for a meal and a drink!

Just opened about 2 months ago, they said. So yes, the interior is very clean for a local bar. They have $ 1/song karaōke, but you have to sing in front of everyone. The service was great, the food(edamame poke style) was good. I think it’s a great place to just chill and hang out. Oh, and they have 2 dart boards, if that’s your thing. Oh, and I loved the girls’ bathroom! Pink with butterflies. You must check it out if you go. Well, if you’re a guy, then I guess not. LoL.

Running out of fried and ahi on a friday nignt :( & no blue curacao for the amf special is disappointing. At least the food and drink is served with a smile The bar has potential if there if thereis a better beer selection, stocked food, and cheaper prices.

Went to my friends new place yesterday. Nice local bar with with Great Food & Service! They open from 2 pm — 2 am 7 days a week. Parking in the back against the Mauka wall and after 5 pm on the Makai side of the lot. there’s also metered street parking if lot fills up. They have 2 electronic dart boards and house darts if you don’t have your own. After having a few you can show off your American Idol skills on Karaōke with a large song selection! Props to Cheryl the«Mixologist» for Awesome friendly service and Kyle«Da Chef» for the Ono Kine Grinds! Thank you Daryl for opening a perfect place to go to quench the thirst and fill the Opu! Definitely a fun place to go!

Super chill spot. Newly renovated, despite how it may look on the outside. Really clean. I had a hard time finding the door, but once I got through it, it was smooth sailing.(In case you’re wondering, the door was right on Piikoi street. If you park in their parking spot on 1236 Waimanu Street there’s a door there, too). Anyways, my server Sheila was super sweet. Asked her what she recommended and she said to try the crispy chicken. It was very flavorful. I’d compare it to Aiea Bowl’s tasty chicken. The fried rice was good. Nothing super special but great bar food! I’ll definitely be back!
