Stopped by to get a quick dinner before leaving the mall, and was pleasantly surprised by this place. It’s pretty good for food court Greek food! I had the chicken gyros plate combo with salad and hummus. The hummus was great. Much better than I was expecting and very garlicky. Yum! The salad dressing was a bit much, you might want to ask for it on the side. The fries also looked good. They had a garlic butter on them. The plates were $ 12.95 and everything else was a little less than that. The chicken on my gyro was dark meat chicken that was marinated in an herb dressing. It was flavorful but also very salty.

VERYDISAPPOINTED! I have been coming to this location for over 5 years and love the hot sauce and Gyro Salads, it came with the yogurt sauce, dressing and beef and lamb meat on top, at least 3 or 4. In the past year or two they have charged separately for the meat, $ 4. I loved the place so much it was worth the extra charge in my mind. Today I ordered two Greek Salads with Beef and Lamb in the salad, that was an extra $ 4 each. First of all the messed up the order as I asked for no dressing and extra hot sauce and no onions. They gave me onions and the salad dressing. They charged extra for yogurt sauce because that is now not provided with the meat and salad and now the amount of meat is less than half of what they use to give. When I asked they said 3 oz. weighed out is what they give. New policy. For a $ 13 – 15 salad, I would at least expect a decent amount of meat for the salad. It still tastes good, but the price for what you get now is just ridiculous.

I’m not one for food court dining but this little kiosk in the middle of the Ala Moana food court was pretty darn good! I got their Greek salad with lamb. It was a large portion and felt like I got my money’s work out of the extra $ 4 for the lamb. It was overly dressed but I did not mind because the dressing was so good!

All the restaurants in Ala Moana food court are pretty expensive, but there are a few that is worth buying and one of the few is at the fat greek; Beef and lamb gyro plate — 4 stars — Although a little on the higher side at $ 13.50, the gyro was satisfying and the hummus tastes freshly made. Came also with greek salad and a drink so not too bad of a deal considering it’s in the highly priced food court in Ala Moana. Service was fast and friendly, so we enjoyed our meal nicely heated and fresh.

I am picky, especially when it comes to Middle Eastern food but I really didn’t enjoy this spot. We got 3 sandwiches, a small side salad, small fries and 2 drinks for $ 40. The falafel is just a big patty in pita, nothing else, no tomatoes, no lettuce, no cucumber, just a dry sandwich. Bleh. And the flavor gets lost when its one big patty as the center ends up doughy instead of crispy the way its meant to be. I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it.

I tried the falafel gyro again last year & it was still that same lemony tangy falafel that I don’t like so I just about gave up hope on this place. I noticed they revamped their menu after the food court renovation & now offer french fries as one of their sides. Also they no longer have the portable flattop grill pan that they used to use to cook the falafels on & it now goes into their deep fryer instead. Hallelujah. No harm in trying one last time to see if there has been any improvement right? I don’t know if they changed their recipe again but this was a much improved falafel from the last. Nicely spiced &NO overt tang to it. I’m a fan again. With that said, I forgot to ask for hot sauce as this used to be free & they would always be the first to offer it. Also maybe my tastes have changed but I felt it could’ve used some tzatziki sauce on it. Did not know you need to pay an extra $ 1 for that for this particular gyro since all their other gyro offerings already include it. If you order fries they make it to order so that kind of slows down the wait time for your food. You can see the timer on the fryer ticking away. I must’ve waited a good 10 minutes. The fries are seasoned with salt, garlic & parsley so if you don’t like garlic ask them to omit it. Think I will bypass the fries next time and get the salad instead. You can also combo this meal for $ 3.00 more and get a drink plus choice of 2 sides. Is the Garbanzo Beans Salad supposed to be spicy? The first couple of bites it was absolutely delicious & on its way to best salad in the food court. Packed full of intense flavors from the lemon juice, feta cheese and other spices. That is until I hit the mother load of crushed chili flakes! SPICYHOT! If you look at my picture you can see the chili seeds. Don’t know if that’s I how it’s supposed to be or if they didn’t mix the bean salad good enough(do you sense a theme running here?) but my mouth was on fire. I like spicy, but not break out in a sweat & sniffles spicy. I dunno, Fat Greek. No matter how much I like your food I will have to tread with caution unfortunately. And for that I’m a glutton for punishment.

Not impressed and very underwhelmed. I’m used to getting Greek salads a lot from various different places, and for the most part, all of them are pretty standard; salad, feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, onions, and dressing. Well, unfortunately I must have hit some bad luck seeing as I didn’t quite get that from here… and it came with a hefty price tag as well. A greek salad goes for $ 7. 95 here and because I also decided on adding chicken to the salad I obviously had no idea how pricey greek chicken costs. I thought me paying $ 12.50 for a standard size salad was kind of a lot, and to my dismay, when I opened my to-go container I was disappointed to find hardly any feta cheese(there were some near the bottom, but you had to use a magnifying glass to see them), 3 olives, no salad dressing, and paying $ 4 extra for chicken that tasted no different than regular bbq chicken you could get elsewhere, I felt cheated. I don’t think paying that amount for that is worth it when you could be getting so much more stuff in your salad for that price at a high-end restaurant.

The food is good but the wait was way too long. The three girls I was dining with all got food from different spots in the food court and they were all done with their meals by the time I got mine! So, I’ll skip this place next time. Also, they were out of chicken for a chicken gyro at lunchtime on Sunday so I went with falafel. This was not my favorite. I should’ve just did the veggie one. Girl handling orders was very friendly and efficient. Gentleman making food not so much. Edit: 12÷15÷15 — Okay, I have to up it a star. My sister and I ate here last week after she said she wanted it and we saw there was no line at lunchtime on a Monday. The service was extremely fast and the food was delicious. I think I’ll just have to skip it when I see a line next time, but if there is no line I’ll definitely get this again.

I will not be back. Beef and lamb gyro portion was small and the meat slices came out of a food warmer. The lady took her time picking out pieces. Made me think: what was in there that she was avoiding giving me? And since when does it take so long to carve it off the spinning meat log? Hmmm. Something is not quite right there. Add to the experience that the grimy guy taking your money also picks up your fork by the tines – nope, not using that fork – and gives you one paper towel off a roll of Bounty. Uhhhhhh – super unprofessional. Only in Hawaii would a business in a highly rated mall would think they could get away with that kind of questionable health consciousness unsanitary low-class service.

Love the food. But it is way over priced and I don’t think they wash their romaine salad. I’ve seen the box get delivered then they chop away to serve. Small kiosk no more big sink for clean/drain ah? Anyway I’m addicted to their gyro so I come to eat. Side tzatziki sauce for a dollar? Omg. and their service… they need more ppl working to help the ordering process go faster.

Good quality food, great portion size, a bit pricey, but otherwise great choice for a meal at the Ala Moana. Their falafel was great, loved the garlic fries, as well as the gyro. I am not a fan of their Greek salad(had a sweet dressing I didn’t care for), and they wrapped our sandwiches in such a way that made them messy to eat when you unwrap them(why not wrap them with one end open?) I will eat there again… It’s a good place for something different at the Ala Moana.

Delicious food. Flexible, did half order on appetizer and remade my girlfriend’s gyro without sour cream. Still super friendly and laid back.

Only 3*‘s since the server who was making our food dropped 1⁄3 of our falafel on the ground and just kept right on going. Otherwise I would have given them a 4. The food was delicious, cost effective, and everything tastes fresh. I was going to go for two salad servings, one with each entrée, but I’m glad we decided on fries instead. They are made to order and tossed with some yummy seasonings. Both the falafel and traditional beef and lamb gyro were good. Nothing too out of the norm. I did notice how I really enjoyed the slight acidic flavors and textures of the cucumber, balanced everything out well. Will try this place maybe if we are in the area. I understand how much longer it would have taken to fry another falafel, but to watch it happen and not get what we fully ordered, an apology, or any type of compensation, is poor customer service. Being realistic, the employees probably get a touch over min. wage, so I keep my expectations low, even still, it’s the tough part of being in the middle of the food court, everyone can see all that’s going on. *****UPDATEDREVIEW***** Well the food was so delicious that we had to come back and we are glad we did! Same great food, yet way better portions, and we didn’t lose 1⁄3 of our food to the floor

I’ve been living on this rock my entire life… how did I not know about this place at Ala Moana’s Makai Market??? I thought it was a brand new kiosk place after Makai Market renovated… but looking at all the reviews, apparently they’ve been here since 2012 haha. Ok, now I feel like a fool LOL. Anyways, we came here on a Sunday afternoon after my soccer game and I was STARVING! When we saw this kiosk, we got excited about eating Greek food. There was only one other person in front of us in line. The lady at the counter was very friendly and patiently waited as we indecisively looked over their menu. I love how their menu is up-to-date with technology, but I found the constant turning off part annoying. It wasn’t like it was flashing on to their next slide. It was just their menu on that screen, and it kept flashing off. After we finally made up our minds, my boyfriend ordered the beef and lamb gyro combo with 2 sides and a drink(garlic fries & hummus), while I got just the chicken gyro with 1 side(hummus). Our food came out pretty fast and visually, the portions looked huge and the hummus and pita bread looked amazing. The chicken gyro was good, but the hummus was my favorite part of the meal! The hummus was delicious and the pita bread was nice and crispy! That was probably the best hummus and pita bread I’ve ever eaten! I stole some garlic fries off my boyfriend’s plate, and it was NOT good. Even with the garlic, something about it made it taste bland. Don’t waste your money on the fries. My boyfriend barely ate it and he eats anything! lol. Get the hummus as your sides, it’s such a better choice. They also have hot sauce for your gyro. I’m not much of a hot sauce person, but it wasn’t too hot so I was able to enjoy it lol. Even if you don’t get the combo, the gyro and 1 side will fill you. I was pretty stuffed and glad we could walk around the mall afterwards to hopefully burn off some calories we just gained ;) We’ll be back for sure to eat more hummus and pita bread!

Mm mm MMM! I love this place! :) They’ve always had great customer service with me, good is well made and hot, even when taken home to go. Ordered two orders of the baklava this time bc it was so yummy last time… Although, I’m a tad bit biased, as baklava is one of my top 3 favorite desserts of all time! ;) Haven’t tried their hummus, but I always get the garlic fries and a salad with my chicken gyro meal; it’s all been delicious each time too! :)

Located in the Ala Moana food court. Chicken gyro was OK. Garlic fries were OK, too. Rice didn’t have a a lot of flavor. Not my first food choice in the mall considering there are far cheaper and tastier food options in the food court and beyond, but it is the only Greek option that I’m aware of. So, if you HAVETO have Greek food, then this is your spot. Otherwise, you’d be better off shopping around in my opinion…

Spent my last lunch in Hawaii at the food court this is in, and I had decided to eat here because I had ate most other cuisines that were available. My overall reaction was pretty«meh.» Nothing was really superb or memorable. The chicken gyro I ate was far worse than other Greek restaurants. The garlic fries were decent, but nothing spectacular. When I asked for water, I got the small sample cup size that was barely two sips(the guy asked me if I wanted to buy a bottle of water instead). The food came quickly, but that was because most of the things were already made, and just sitting there(embracing the fast food model). Basically, if you want to experience authentic Greek cuisine, this is not the place to go as the food is mediocre and the menu is extremely limited. It was okay for a food court place, but I’ve had better at nearby food courts even. Overall, I was not too impressed…

Great Lunch… had the beef and lamb gyro, salad and Greek fries(Yes I had fried with my salad). These guys are great. Their house Greek salad dressing and hot sauce were awesome. The gyro was delicious and wasn’t a long wait. I think the fries would have been better is sprinkled with feta cheese but I guess I can always ask for them to do that next time. Yes there will be a next time. With all the other places to eat this one stood out in the center of the food court. Highly recommended for a quick delicious bite to eat. The prices are reasonable for what you get!
