Sweet Bread Of The Islands

Delicious rolls at an amazing price! I love when a place focuses on one thing, and does it right. Other butter rolls I’ve had have been yeasty… These have proofed nicely and come out of the oven fresh. They are not greasy, just a nice light, slightly sweet bread.
It’s a counter where if it were in Kaimuki or a pretentious storefront downtown would have a bunch of foodies clamoring for the warm, pillowy goodness. But being in Maunakea Market, I was in line with a bunch of cute older Asian ladies, hoping that they wouldn’t take the last of the specialty blueberry cinnamon. I also saw that they have pineapple coconut rolls, but none were available at the time. Important points:
