Starbucks

I go to Starbucks often, usually I go to the financial plaza store because it’s bigger and better, but sometimes I go here.
I use the mobile order feature, which I’ve done in many locations and usually works fine but at this location they get your order, make your sandwich, then leave it on the back counter instead of calling it out. The past two times I went I saw it sitting back there and didn’t want to bother them by asking. since they’re obviously busy at 8am. But the first time I waited so long that when I finally did ask (because I had to when I saw twenty customers come and go while it was still sitting back there) they handed it to me and it was cold because it was back there forever. Obviously I wasn’t stoked.
The next time I went in I said I’ll just wait in line and order it in person and it won’t happen again. But the line was long and I wanted to get to work earlier so I chose to put faith in the mobile order again… bad idea. This time I was more savvy, so I kept my eye on the back bar waiting to see it. After the drink bar had happily handed drinks to like fifteen people, my sandwich appeared on the back bar. The WEIRDEST PART THO: I heard/​saw the girl in charge of heating food come to the front bar and call out other mobile orders. But somehow mine got placed in the back and not called out??? So since I am a sleuth and I was waiting for this, I bothered the drink makers and asked them for it. Luckily I made it out wiith a mostly warmed sandwich, not cold like the first time. But who knows how long I would have waited either time for them to call it out and hand it to me.
TL;DR this Starbucks doesn’t do mobile orders correctly, go to financial plaza one block down. Their sandwiches are hotter and their store is better

My go-​to Starbucks when I am in Downtown! Now this might be a little confusing for those who refrain from Downtown or Chinatown because there is another Starbucks just one block away. Who does that? I don’t know.
What makes this my favorite Starbucks is because it’s closest and is on the same side of the street as my office. The staff is extremely friendly, gets your order correct and believe it, patient.
Since Starbuck’s revelation of mobile ordering, picking up coffee for the office has become a breeze! Just order it before you leave for the office, when you’ve ordered it, go ahead and leave and it’ll be ready for you at the bar when you get there.
Now there’s not much to say about this Starbucks but obviously, it’s most convenient if you’re already in the area. Don’t try to find parking just to go to here, go where you don’t have to pay to park. This Starbucks is also pretty small, you most likely won’t get any seat sitting inside but there’s a few to choose from outside it’s surroundings.
Happy ordering! Also if you’re in the area, pick me up an iced grande vanilla coffee with milk!

I enjoy the location, baristas are always friendly, which is good. However, being a supervisor (for Starbucks) at a different location, I highly dislike the fact that they keep their milks on the counter… Milk should be refrigerated.

The baristas are the friendliest, even when there’s a long line your drink is done really quick, and they always get my drink right. I go to school in Downtown and there’s 3 Starbucks and a whole bunch of other coffee shops nearby, but I always come back to this one.

SERVING COFFEE AND A SMILE
So excited cause this is my first 5-​star rating and it is well deserved. They set the bar high of how all Starbucks should run. This Starbucks being in the heart of downtown is always packed, but the line moves really fast. What makes this a 5-​star establishment is the service. There is always a great energy as soon as you walk in which is carried through by the baristas who always smile and are all so friendly– even during the morning rush something is wrong with your coffee and you ask them to make it again, they happily make it right. They know all the names of the regulars and even what their orders will be before they order it. The shinning star employee really has to be Lucy. She is really the nicest person, so genuine, she’ll ask you how you’ve been, how your morning is going and will remember things about you that you’ve told her before. She always has a plumeria in her ear and bring a bunch to display in the bar.

My favorite Honolulu Starbucks! If I need a caffeine fix I will go out of my way to stop here on the way to the office. Great staff!

I’m actually writing this review in this Starbucks, but that didn’t affect my rating.
Likes: The workers are really quick and efficient (except when there’s a new person) and they get to know the regulars, like any good Starbucks.
Dislikes: Seating is limited, but it’s in a convenient location. There are two Starbucks within one block of this one with more seating if you need it.
Don’t be daunted if the line is long; it goes by quickly here.

They made my iced caramel macchiato different from the other location. I dont think it’s bad, I just prefer it the other way which made the taste better. Anyway, drinks are expensive, so I guess it’s a blessing in disguise. I thought I could start being a regular customer but makes no sense now. I’ll definitely return for the passion fruit lemonade tea which is my initial favorite. That drink is a guarantee thirst quencher. But, it’s only on occasion I’ll crave the tea drink.
The service is always consistent with all locations, so that’s a plus. Oh and the cran/​orange scone was great!

The best Starbucks I’ve been to, hands down… and I’m from California where there are 5 on every block.
All the baristas are incredibly friendly, and super fast, even during their busiest hours.
Josh made my drink twice while I was there and he was the sweetest guy! He even made a latte art heart.
But my favorite barista was Lauren, she’s a peach!
There’s a few Starbucks in that area, but trust me, go to this one, you wont be disappointed.

This starbucks is the run of the mill starbucks like others. The waitresses are pretty and they smile, the ambience was pleasant. I will definitely be back here. There is nothing here that makes this coffee shop stand up from others like it.

Even when they are super busy, they are always on top of everything and still make time for their customers — and always with a smile. They are awesome!

I was in the downtown area to pick up a pair of Incubus tickets that I won from donating blood last week so my friend and I decided to stop in at a nearby Starbucks for a drink. This Starbucks is conveniently located close to King and Bishop Street. What sets it apart from other Starbucks in this area is that there is ample outdoor seating either in the sun or under big umbrellas.
I got a fruit cup for about $ 4 that had cut up strawberries, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, and pineapple. It was a nice snack and probably the healthiest thing I had all day. Of course being in the downtown area there is no validated parking and the nearest municipal parking is about two blocks away. Staff is friendly and efficient as always. Recommended as a grab-​and-​go or a loungin place.

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE the Starbucks next to my office, but when they were closed on President’s Day (and I wasn’t), I needed a caffeine fix to get me through work and the FOMO that came with everyone else (including my Starbucks) having the day off. This Starbucks, located on Bishop Street next to 24 Hour Fitness, poured my coffee and stole my heart!
While I’m sure this Starbucks sees its fair share of crowds on a typical morning, there were just a few people in line on President’s Day. As soon as I got to the front, a friendly barista welcomed me and asked for my order. Her energy and happiness instantly lifted my spirits! She even drew a smile-​y face next to my name on my cup. :) Every employee working that morning had a smile on, even as they were busy ringing up customers or making drinks. I realized that if the Starbucks baristas who also had to work on President’s Day could be happy, why couldn’t I!
You can’t have a bad day when your morning starts with Starbucks coffee and cheerful, friendly baristas!

The line is usually crazy in the mornings… Be sure to be patient and check out the mug wall…
They are probably tied for friendliest downtown Starbucks with Alakea.

I’m not a regular coffee drinker BUT if I had to choose a location this would be it. I don’t know why it is always calm, inviting and calm but let’s keep it that way!
The lines are always reasonable, it only seems to be frequented by the calmer coffee drinkers in the downtown area. It is always clean, or being cleaned!
In conclusion, stay away unless you are calm and friendly. Actually even if you are calm and friendly stay away so I don’t stop being any of these things…

Really had a bad experience at Starbucks today. I ordered a Venti Black Tea Lemonade, paid for it and then the Barista said they’re out of lemonade. So I switched to Black Tea Hibiscus. What bummed me out was that my Black Tea Hibiscus was just half-​full.
Didn’t go back to complain coz I’m pissed!

The morning crew is awesome and very friendly! They make your order to your specs and verify with you before the order is given to the baristas for completion.
However, the afternoon crew is in complete contrast finalizing your order before you even pay. When your drink is ready and not what you wanted, attitude is given to the customer. Last time I checked, great customer service keeps the customer. If I wanted poor service and speedy service, I’d go to McDonalds for coffee.

Just after a few visits, they started to memorize my face lol. Great place with really good customer service and such convenience too. It’s really close to my office so I get my morning tea before work.
Beside the awesome memory, their service is really quick. A line wraps in the small space but it goes by so quickly! I can see why people like this Starbucks in particular.
The only recommendation I have is to have your gold card, cash, or card app prepped by the time you reach the counter. That way your time there will be super fast.
Keep up the good work workers at Starbucks!

As a tax accountant, my Starbucks coffee is a staple throughout tax season as much as my computer and my adding machine are.
Needless to say, the Starbucks crew at this location saw me on a daily basis before I started my work day and usually at 2 or 3 pm if I needed a pick me up. The crew at this location has been consistent not only with the quality of my drinks, but also with the outstanding service they provide. They knew my drink order and my name and they would start making my drink as soon as I stepped into the store. They would always make a little small talk and their positive, always-​helpful attitude really helped set me up for a good day at work and helped to wake me up at 5 am.
Even now, when I go in at 7 in the morning and the line is literally out the door, the workers are still smiling. They still try to make small talk when they can and are usually efficient in getting the drinks and food out so we are not waiting too long. I appreciate that sense of urgency while providing a quality experience.
If you are ever in downtown Honolulu, I highly recommend visiting this Starbucks.
