Starbucks

Following Lyla D. around her ‘hood was one of the happiest days of my life! Yes, we’re both born and raised in Honolulu… however, when you see your hometown through someone else’s eyes — especially when it’s someone that you hold in high esteem — it’s truly an enlightening experience!
Since I’ve moved to Kaneohe Town, Honolulu has really changed over the past ten years. Kaka’ako (and the surrounding areas) has improved for the better. For example, this «new» Starbucks in the Ala Moana Hotel… wow! I didn’t believe it until I saw it in person! Photos don’t do it justice. You need to go there and experience it yourself!
As we approached the entrance from the hotel lobby, the open space is what makes this location different. Instead of cramped quarters, this clean and contemporary Starbucks has a resort feeling. Besides the frosted glass with Heliconia and Bird of Paradise theme, there are palm trees framing the large windows.
Just remember the hours of operation at this time: 5:30am to 7:30pm Daily. There is a wooden community table in the middle for sharing or for a large group. To the left of the counter, there are leather-​like seats with matching tables. This seating area has comfortable lighting with inviting chairs — we were even able to easily sit and chat for about 2 hours — no pilikia (problem)!
I ordered a special Tiramisu-​flavored Frappaccino from the Secret Menu (Lyla had the recipe in her purse), and it was yummy! It costs a bit more for all of the add-​ons, but it was worth it! I appreciate the friendly and accommodating baristas for taking the time to conjure up something «out of the box» for me!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They always make my drink the way I want it (no, I am not one of those crazy Starbuck’s customers who make their orders so complicated).
I worked on Christmas Eve and I had to get my Starbuck’s fix. And I was a bit hungry, so I got a bagel with extra cream cheese, and the worker paid for my food! It was a small gesture that put a big smile on my face and great way to start my Christmas Eve.

I love this starbucks. I can get my work done here and there’s plenty of seats for people.
I’m giving it a 4 because they close 7:30pm. If they have later closing times I’m definitely changing it to 5.
I have become a regular at this location.

This place is awesome! There are outlets everywhere so it’s really convenient and there is Wifi which makes it easier to do your homework. The staff is impeccable and they are super friendly!

This starbucks location is awesome for one, they have 88 seats here total, which is three times the amount of seats than other locations I have been to. They have tables that seat 4 people and then they have 10 person tables big enough for studying or having group meetings.
Their breakfast sandwiches were long gone by noon. But I’m sure if you come early enough, there will be some selection. If not, they offer cold cut sandwiches, bistro boxes like the fruit and cheese, thai peanut chicken wrap, pbj on wheat, and protein bistro. In addition, they got chicken or veggie salad for purchase.
The atmosphere is wonderful like watching a a ballet show, not too noisy. The music is on a lower sound mode which is great when you want to study or writing a paper or want to enjoy your cup of coffee.
They are located on the left of the first level of Ala Moana hotel and condos as you enter the lobby and there should be a sign Starbucks with chairs and tables in front of it.
They give out samples at the pick up :)

We just moved into the Ala Moana neighborhood and received a Grand Opening announcement for this Starbucks Café. Admittedly, I thought that it would look like every other Starbucks so I didn’t rush out to check them out.
Oh, gosh, was I wrong! This new Starbucks is located in the lobby of the Ala Moana Hotel & Condominium and has an amazingly comfortable, open and large seating area. There is the typical dark wood cabinetry, wood furniture and pendant lighting that you normally see at Starbucks. But, what makes this place more special is the integration of frosted regional flowers and palm fronds on the large picture windows for privacy and sun shade with contemporary leather sectional sofas. It’s an eclectic blend of Pacific Northwest and the Pacific region. Free Wi-​Fi is available and there are several tables set up for your beverage drinking and computing.
Best of all are the friendly and efficient baristas! They greet you with huge smiles and cheerfully get your order out to you. For now, I think I’ve found my new quiet and sleek hangout for my coffee-​drinking.

This Starbucks is AMAZING! This place is so big and so much seating :)
I was here for business and was staying at a hotel down the street but came to this store almost every day to work because of the convenience! The baristas were great, very personable and talked to me about why I was here and they gave me a good farewell when I left. They told me this was a different type of Starbucks store so they couldn’t take my Gold Reward yet, but as long as I could still get stars I was okay with it. I’m sure I’ll use up that reward at some other
I’ll definitely be coming back! Great job, Starbucks!

Nice and new, going thru growing pains. Service a little slower than normal. Found items in display not avail due to sold out or other. Hopefully it will run smoother as the training is complete. Also 730pm closing is a little early for my lifestyle. Hope it will be adjusted to 900p or 1000p. Good luck

This is by far one of the best Starbucks’ I’ve been. Lots of tables and outlets, great for work or study. Not too crowded or loud. Very friendly staff. They keep bringing lots of samples too. It’s inside the Ala Moana hotel. Definitely check it out if you are in the area and looking for a place to work.

Brand New Starbucks located in the lobby of the Ala Moana Hotel. Huge café with outlets at nearly every table. Great baristas, never crowded, plenty of seating and always spotless.
