I love this place. Come here at least once a week for phở. Large bowl is just perfect. Especially with a side of spring rolls. My gf loves their thai tea. Good prices. Always leave this place with a happy tummy.

This little place on the corner was a delight. The owner, Jennifer, was so very kind and chatted with us before we left. The Phở was delicious and since we are vegan we were excited to find vegetarian phở with vegetable broth(other places have only beef or chicken broth). The service was terrific!

Not a bad place for phở. Parking is right behind the restaurant. There are two entrances so whichever direction you’re coming from, well, you got options. It was empty when we got there, so we were quickly helped to a table and given menus. Service is quick. Within 5 minutes of ordering, we were eating. I got the beef, tendon and tripe phở… large, for only $ 8.50! Great deal! The other half got the veggie phở. She loved it. Only reason why I’m giving them a 4 star is because we weren’t offered soft drinks. I don’t usually ask and I just take the water offered… but will usually order a soda if asked. No biggie though. A great place to go when everywhere else is closed. Open til 9!

Ordered take out but I think my food was sitting out for a while that when I got home the broth wasn’t hot enough. I probably live about 5 min away so I’d think it’d still be hot enough right? Phở was good. Probably would have been better if we dined in. I enjoyed the spring rolls. They give more than others and they’re pretty big. My daughter could probably eat an order of springs rolls by herself at other places cause the rolls are so small. Overall, good food. Next time I’m dining in

My favorite phở on the island so far. The broth is flavorful, not too greasy. The sizes are good and the prices are excellent.

A simple place to enjoy a hot meal. You can kick back and enjoy TV while eating a meal. Nothing fancy about this place. Simple and sweet. Service is fine.

I must agree with fellow Unilocalers about this restaurant-I really did want to fall in love with this place because of its close proximity to my stomping grounds :((sob sob) I went here with my family a couple of nights ago. Everyone’s fm dishes were pretty mediocre and nobody really liked their dishes except my mom. My mom had the crispy noodles with seafood and my kids as well if my mother really enjoyed it. I had the vermicelli noodles with pork and spring rolls. The sauce was pretty terrible but the noodles were great. They have a lot of free parking & the staff are super sweet. I just hope they can tweak the recipes to bring up their food quality. The restaurant is pretty clean compared to previous restaurants who occupied that space.

Good hole in the wall spot. Friendly service. Good amount of meat in the phở. Broth is slightly buttery and almost sweet.

Under new management! Having lived in Liliha for the better half of my life, I’ve seen this place be a Chinese restaurant, another Chinese restaurant, and now a Vietnamese place. I had ordered takeout phở from here before and eaten it 5 mins after picking it up only to find it cold. How disappointing! Imagine my dread when I saw«under new management»(I read it as «we’ve had complaints, better make people think we’re doing something different»). However, I can’t resist a good deal, and $ 7 medium-sized phở is a pretty damn good deal! Also, my boyfriend was hungover and we were NOT going to drive into Chinatown or all the way home to Kapolei/Waianae for a bowl of phở, so we ended up coming to Saigon Cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to see everything immaculately clean and sparkling(+1 star), and we were told by the nice uncle to sit wherever we wanted. We got waters and placed our orders(large steak & beef balls for the BF ~$ 8, medium combination for me $ 7). We waited about ten minutes before two piping hot bowls of phở got put down in front of us. Short waiting time?! +2 stars. I took a sip of the broth and thought it was just okay, but as soon as I added some sriracha and basil, it turned into the most effing amazing bowl of phở I had ever eaten. Some of you might say that the soup should taste good on it’s own, but I promise you that there is something about the broth here that is magical and its flavor is revealed when you add the veggies and sauces. I could go on and on about how amazing this broth was for my cold and how well it cured my boyfriend’s hangover, but hey, the meats are an important part of phở too! Saigon Cuisine gives good portions of meat and has the best beef balls I’ve ever tasted! The noodles were just plain old phở noodles, nothing that special, but it was the perfect amount for each of the bowls! I don’t know how they got the ratio correct, but I was juuuuuuuust past full and right before the point of being bloated after I polished off my bowl. Being stuffed, I decided against a tapioca or a thai tea and ordered an extra broth and takeout box for the BF’s noodles. My total came out to about $ 18(the nice uncle only charged me $ 2 for the extra broth! SCORE!) and I was pretty happy considering we got to take home a whole meal and still left the restaurant full. I’ve made this my go-to spot for the BF’s hangovers and for future reference, this place has a ton of parking, so there’s no excuse not to go!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am absolutely appalled. I came here at about 7:45pm, super hungry because I haven’t eaten all day. I actually came to Saigon Cuisine last year and there was a BUG in the bean sprouts, so I never came back. But management changed, so I thought I’d give it another shot. I’m an avid goer of Phở Huong Lan on Maunakea Street. However, it was late, and Saigon Cuisine was the only place that was open in the area. Their phở is THEWORST that I have EVER eaten in my LIFE. Phở is my favorite food in the world and Saigon Cuisine’s phở is an absolute disgrace. The broth was so DILUTED and it tasted like WATER. I like to eat my phở absolutely plain with no sriracha or oyster sauce, but this is the first time I’m in my life that I’ve added sauces to my broth, just so it could have a little flavor. I guess it was a good thing I was super hungry, otherwise I would have just walked out. I AMNEVERCOMINGBACK!

I’ve been their customer since they opened because I live so close. I only come here for the convenience. The quality of the food is decent but depends on what you order. When I take out, I usually order a fried rice w/the meat that I’m craving at the moment. The rice orders were usually decent in quality and quantity. When I walk-in I usually order combination phở. The phở was always borderline average or below average; there was always something off with the taste. They say anything tastes good when you’re super hungry… It didn’t work for the phở that I ordered today.

We came here for breakfast on one of the days and I was actually surprised of the quality of their food. I didn’t want to eat Viet food in Hawaii since I know I am exposed to the best Viet food in California. But this place did beat my expectation. I tried their combination broken rice dish and the meet and everything was marinated perfectly. Others who came with me tried their some of their soup noodle and they all say it was good too. So if you’re in Hawaii and feeling like getting some traditional Vietnamese dishes then I would suggest trying this place out.

This place is awesome not only because it’s a five minute walk from where I live but because this place has one of the best beef ball phở I’ve ever tasted!!! Very nice an helpful wait staff even tho it’s kinda a family ran business. Always get greeted when I walk in and quick to bring water and take our orders. Never have to wait more than ten minutes for the first dish to come out which is always the spring rolls and green papaya salad!!! Always will be a customer at Saigon Cuisine!!!

Saigon Cuisine’s chef changed… at least that’s what word on the street is. I’ve changed my mind since my last review. The food tastes better each time I go, and I have to admit, their banh mi is pretty good. I’ve tried an array of items off their menu by now, and everything’s pretty decent. Spring Rolls, Vermicelli, Phở, Rice Plates, they’re decent. The staff’s quick with good service. Give Saigon Cuisine a chance… I’m glad I gave them more than one because they’ve converted me into a regular.

My family & i wanted to try one of the small restaurants in the neighborhood, so we ended up here for dinner. Very small place. There was only 1 other party there. We didn’t see any employees, so we weren’t sure if we seat ourselves or they seat you. Finally a guy emerged & sat us. Come to find out he was the only employee there. Wow! But he got the job done though! I’m not really into phở, so i ordered a rice dish. I ordered grilled pork chops, shredded pork, rice, & a fried egg on the side. It’s not that it taste bad, but i just didn’t care for it. Maybe i wasn’t hungry. I ended up just eating the egg & rice. But looking through the menu, it seems like they have a lot of yummy things to chose from. Especially the selection of phở. Maybe next time if i’m in the mood for phở, i will come here.
