They may be small, but at 8:30pm, tucked away into International Marketplace, I discovered a magical land of shoes and happy people. A dream world of buy one get one half off, rows and rows of shoes, and a land full of friendly strangers who will assist you in your shoe hunt as though you were Cinderella looking for that glass slipper you dropped when you were running to catch your pumpkin on wheels. I jest, but seriously, all three of their staff were the friendliest I’ve ever experienced at a Payless(and I was a Paylessaholic all through college)! I’ve never added a business on Unilocal before, and I’ve hardly ever reviewed places non-food businesses, but I absolutely had to get in the game for these guys. Honestly, the shoe selection wasn’t all that great, it was a typical smaller Payless, but the staff make you feel welcome, at home, and they actually seem like they care! They pop by while you’re perusing and give friendly advice(really they just compliment your taste), they joke around, and they actually listen to you after they ask how your day was! Needless to say, I bought a pair of cute wedges on sale – you know it! BOGO, baby! – for only $ 5.50 :) Score! [Review 1⁄31 for 31 in October Challenge]
