Spent $ 100 last night on take out. Mahi Mahi was dry, bland, and overcooked. Fish was accompanied by «seasonal vegetables» which were large chunks of broccoli and old/brown baby carrots. No seasoning at all. Crab cake appetizer(1 crab cake and 4 small shrimps) was gross. Crab cake was dry, bland, and soggy. Shrimp were hard and cold(and really small) with no taste. I paid $ 12.99 for a «salad» which was wilted/brown iceburg, a tablespoon of Bleu cheese crumbles, 4 candied nuts, and a sprinkle of crunchy noodle things. I posted a picture. I love salad and I hate wasting food, but I can’t bring myself to eat it. I can’t convey how disappointed we were. It was or first date night since our baby was born and wanted to go «all out» with take out so we wouldn’t need to get a baby sitter. It was a mistake to use this rare opportunity of a date night on outback. Maybe that was our fault.

Made reservations and still had to wait 20 minutes for our table. When we got seated we weren’t greeted by our server for 10 minutes. We waited 15 minutes for our semi warm appetizer. We had ordered our food immediately after sitting down and waited a total of 35 minutes for our food. Giving more than one star just because the meal was pretty good.

Cassie is pretty much WHY I keep coming back. The food is amaaaaaazing, but Cassie is the sweetest and funniest waitress with quick feet and a smile. She keeps the glasses full and the table happy. Love this place!

I frequently order curb side take out for my family from outback and tonight I called in to place my order and was put on a 10 minute hold. I figured something had happened, no worries, and I called back. The same thing happened and I was on hold for another 8 minutes. The third time around, my call was answered and the woman put me on hold for another 6 minutes before I eventually hung up because I was fed up with waiting and wanted to place an order somewhere else.

We were there for mother’s day and everything was fantastic, especially our waitress! Food was tasty, service was very fast, and they’re very attentive. Definitely recommend this to everyone!

Always enjoy coming here! I used the app to put my name on the wait list and it seems to always work in our favor. When we arrive at the designated time our table is always ready. I enjoyed the shrimp with the volcano hot sauce. Nice atmosphere!

Great atmosphere. View of Maunalua bay(past the vehicles on the highway) is our favorite Outback location. Service was on it today. She filled our drinks often and was attentive. Food was good as usual.

Outback. You were once my favorite restaurant to eat at! Came here tonight to celebrate my mom for an early Mother’s Day dinner. Got there and surely checked in on Unilocal!Since they said it would be about a 30 min wait(I use my check ins to see how long we’ve been at the location). We were seated after maybe 15 min so not bad! We were seated at a booth which again was great! Our server came to our table maybe 10 min after we were seated, she did NOT introduce herself, she only asked if we wanted drinks, to which we ordered two cokes and one margarita blended with salt. She walked away quickly, she returned again and asked us if everything was okay(mind you were sitting at the table just looking at the menu, drinks had not arrived yet) so we ordered two of those peach mum things lol. A while after she returns with a tray of other drinks. My moms margarita was not blended and so my mom pointed it out. The waitress was not apologetic she then took a while again to bring back all of the drinks… Still we were waiting to ask her for a blooming onion but we never had the chance to order it! By the time she came back we just wanted our main course! Me and my big mouth was also complaining that we never got the free bread LOL sorry but i was so hungry! We all were! FOOD: I ended up getting the Marsala sirloin, which comes with broccoli and a side of Parmesan rice. When I got my plate the first thing I noticed was that the plate was smaller then usual and it only had the meat and broccoli my rice was missing! At this point I’m super hungry, I’m irritated because our waitress kept dipping out. Like seriously where was she! Everyone else’s food was fine. They enjoyed it. Eventually my mom spotted the waitress and flagged her down. I asked her about the rice and she apologized this time and bought out the rice. Leaving: We get our bill and I put in cash. Now this is the thing that irritates me. It didn’t matter how much cash I put in there it was a straight bill. She did not give me back my cents change! Yes I totally get it it’s just cents move on people say. No but that’s not how I feel. No matter if it were $ 22.75 or $ 0.75 or even $ 0.07 cents, give back the correct change! Be honest! Don’t just give back the dollar amount. Give the cents back! Anywho hope she wasn’t mad with the small tip I left, but honey next time you should try better! Good luck to your future job here. OUTBACK, I will be back as my family and I are regular eaters here. Hopefully my next review will be a better one worth 5 stars!

We’ve been here many times because it’s close to home and the food is decent although a little pricey for the quality. Anyway, after we sat in a booth in the bar area, a female wait person came by and told my BF «you know it’s illegal to bring this in here!» as she picks up a can and shakes it. She was referring to an energy drink that he had. Her tone was very condescending and just out right rude! I understand that he shouldn’t have brought it in but she could have said it in a more appropriate manner. Another person waited on us and he was terrific… thank goodness! #outback #bitchywaitress #energydrink

This is our regular neighborhood restaurant. We usually like to sit in the bar area as we can just walk-in there, but one has to come before 6PM to do that. We’ve been eating at this Outback for years no less than monthly. To say everything is great is lazy but it’s the truth. Good cuts of meat cooked correctly and seasoned to taste. I love their ribs and their seared ahi is wonderful. My wife is addicted to the Alice Springs chicken quesadilla. I love the bloomin’ onion but can’t handle a whole one by myself. Wish they had a half. Very occasionally something has come out not cooked exactly right. On those rare occasions the staff and management has been most apologetic and replaced it asap and we’ve been given free pupu’s or a desert to make up for it. Any place can make a mistake; it’s how they handle it that is the test and Outback gets an «A+». Right now they’re open for lunch only Fri, Sat & Sun. Since I’m retired and live in Hawaii Kai I can’t wait until they open all week long for lunch. The burgers are super! The«curbside takeaway» service is really convenient so you don’t have to get dressed up to do takeout. The staff does a good job of making sure your order is correct so you don’t get home and get disappointed they forgot something.

Yo, after giving blood my body needed MEAT!!! So last night I met up with Jules Y., and we headed down to the Outback Steakhouse in Hawaii Kai. I’ve been to a few Outbacks on the rock, but I gotta tell you the Hawaii Kai location is pretty nice! We didn’t have any reservations, but walked in and got a table right away… but of course since it was a Monday night, I guess it wasn’t too busy. As soon as we were seated, our friendly waitress came by to drop off menus, and take our drink order. Shortly after that, some complimentary bread was dropped off to our table. Upon scanning the menu, I decided on getting the Roasted Sirlion with a Cabernet Sauce. For my sides, I ordered some steamed broccoli. The GF — Jules Y. orders a Grilled Salmon, and for her sides she orders some sauté mushrooms, and a loaded mash potatoes. Of course when we come to the Outback Steakhouse, you gotta get the Blooming Onion for any appetizer, but since we had way too much food, we asked our friendly waitress if we could get half of a Blooming Onion? She suggests to us to order the Blooming Onion Petals, which is a small portion of the Blooming Onion. What a Perfect suggestions! It was just a small portion, perfect to satisfy your taste for this wonderful appetizer. What can I say about my meal? I loved my Sirloin Steak! It was soft, and very juicy… the perfect meal to rejuvenate myself. The GF also liked her meal, as the Salmon came out moist & flavorful. She loved the loaded mash potatoes, but did not care for the taste of the sauté mushrooms. For me, I eat anything, so I gave her my steamed broccoli, and proceeded to eat her sauté mushrooms. After eating my meal, an hour or two later I could hear my stomach making some really funny noises. Aiya!!! Even the GF noticed it… not sure if it was the mushrooms, but oooooh wee! I had to expell it out of my body real fast! I think next time I’m gonna pass on the sauté mushrooms! Lol! Overall, the service was great! Food was pretty good too with the exception of the mushrooms. Lol! Lots of free parking at the Hawaii Kai location, as the parking lot is shared by Roy’s, and other businesses.

Sitting in a booth in the back on the main floor felt like stepping back in time. Their menu has modernized and changed a bit, but its still just as pricey if not more than I remember. I ended up having the 4 course meal for $ 19.99 which was almost to much food. The meat was really good and the perfect portion, but the sides were a bit on the sad side. I don’t know if I would willingly come here again.

Service was awesome! We actually called ahead as we were on our way here so even though we were quoted a half hour wait on the phone, we only actually waited about 5 min. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We had the full rack of baby back ribs and the 12oz prime rib with garlic mash. Yummy!

I’ve been sitting here for 15 minutes and no one has even asked for my drink… Guys, this place is not even slightly full. The only reason why they have this little star is because i need it to post the review. SUCKS that they don’t hold the same customer service that mainland Outback Steakhouse does. Alectra I believe her name was; was outstanding when I approached her with the concern. Maybe because I was a table of one and no one thought I would produce much $$$ they didn’t serve me? little did they know I was ordering for my family but I wanted to eat there first. sad to know one of my fav spots is gone.

We really enjoyed our dinner last night with Andy at the bar at Outback. He was attentive(without being annoying and overbearing) and he always added a little funny here or there to our conversation without taking his eyes off of the other guests. Our food was great but the drinks were top-notch(I can’t believe a berry martini is only $ 4!!!). We had a blast and even met some new friends. This may be our new Sunday night spot! We really had a good time and good food to boot. Thanks Andy! We’ll be back :) –Sheldon and Chavah

Somehow I’d never been to Outback Steakhouse. I guess because a. I’m not a huge meat-eater and b. I assumed it was on the more expensive side. I recently came here to celebrate a family occasion and I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, the prices are totally in line with what I’d expect to pay when I go out for a casual dinner. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say that they were a little lower than some other places I’ve been and the food was better(I’m looking at your Ruby Tuesday). I’d heard about this Blooming Onion for years and finally got to have it. Completely lived up to my expectations! Seriously can’t wait to return to have it again. We had a few other appetizers, including a shrimp dish and fondue, and they were super tasty, as well. I had a blackberry martini which was awesome and was priced at $ 4. I can do that! So, I’ll be back to Outback soon!

I had only eaten at Outback once before(an experience I don’t recall) when my coworker gave me a promotional card for 20% off. The place is rather spacious and I kind of felt like I was in the mainland simply because the layout of the restaurant. Kind of odd that they had portable ac units scattered throughout the place though. While we were waiting someone would occasionally come by with water or appetizers to hand out, which was nice since I was pretty hungry. I got the 6 oz sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. The mushrooms had a little strange after taste to it though. I ended up stealing other people’s steamed vegetables because they were so good. It was soft but not really soggy and just a little bit of a garlic taste(I think). Apparently they change it up depending on what’s in season. When I went the mixed veggies were broccoli and carrots. The sirloin was decent, nothing too special. I also hadn’t realized how little 6 oz. was so I was a little sad. Fortunately I wasn’t very hungry because I had a late lunch. I also had the cheesecake with chocolate syrup. It was nothing special and I really couldn’t taste the chocolate, which was a little disappointing. I love chocolate. The servers were pretty good. For the most part they were attentive, filling up our waters and checking on us every so often. All in all, I would come back here but it’s a little pricey so I probably wouldn’t return very often.

We have eaten here before but this review is strict to this visit. We were able to be sat right away because we took advantage of the call ahead service. You call and let them know you’re coming and they tell you when you arrive you will expect to wait about 10 – 15 minutes. We arrived and better than promised we were sat in about 5 minutes. Our server came by pretty promptly to greet us and get us drinks. We weren’t in the mood for a huge meal so we just got a bunch of appetizers to share Aussie Cobb salad: dressing was phenomenal. It was a bleu cheese vinaigrette. The salad itself was just a typical salad nothing special. Volcano shrimp: it was like a spicy ahi sauce on battered shrimp. The shrimp tasted like frozen battered shrimp. The sauce was good but super rich. I wouldn’t order it again. Baked potato soup: this soup is so good! We each got a bowl but I would have been ok with a cup. It’s a very heavy decadent soup and I think a cup would have been the perfect amount. Bloom petals: we got bloom petals which is just a smaller version of the blooming onion it’s just not as pretty as the blooming onion which is why it was only $ 4 I definitely recommend this for smaller parties because it’s the perfect amount without getting sick of it! Hot wings: these are always a hit. My other half LOVES these wings and always orders it. It’s perfectly seasoned and the dipping sauce that it comes with is amazing. Overall a really great experience. The service was ok. Attentive, polite server nothing special but nothing to negatively affect my rating. The 1 star downgrade is simply because they charge $ 5 for 1 scoop of white rice. I needed something to feed my son and that was really the only thing I could feed him off the menu(he’s 9months old) but everything else was great. We will definitely be back.

This time I went to the happy hour in the bar area. Here is the breakdown: Caprese Salad: 5 stars. New take of a toss salad instead of the usual style found at traditional italian places. Plus it comes with toasted bread. Garlic Parmesan fries: 5 stars for not being overly garlic-y. It’s great just having a hint of garlic instead of I may as well eat a whole garlic. Bloomin onion: 3 stars for being eh. Side of Asparagus: 3 stars. It’s asparagus. Steak and lobster combo with mashed potato: 5 stars for being steak and lobster. The place is clean and I get better service in the bar area. From now on I’ll stick to the bar area regardless if it’s happy hour or not. Oh, and there is plenty parking.
