Came in to get some wine to go with our Greek food next door. Been here before, but it’s been a while. Got a bottle of Greek wine recommended from cashier. Great choice! Wine was nice and went well with our food! Price was okay too. I’m so glad they’re still in business. Pleasant and helpful service.

The wine selection here is interesting and lots I haven’t seen before. While I’m no wine connoisseur, I was happy with what I bought here. Apparently a lot of people come here first before going to Olive Tree Café to pick up a wine to have with their dinner since it’s BYOB there. The person working in the store was very helpful finding us wines to our liking. They also sell gelato. The chocolate hazelnut was amazing! I need to go back and get more.

Perfect set-up for eating at Olive Tree next door. Buy wine or single beer at super low prices. $ 2 Guiness and other beers. Specialty beers are way cheaper than Bar 35. Wine is tasted by the owner and all the girls that work there so you know all the wine is hand picked and good. Deli case holds most of the ingredients used next door at Olive Tree i.e. pita bread, olives, tarma, etc. and imported cheeses and meats from Spain. Gelato from Gelateria, different flavors everyday!

You know the old adage«You are what you eat.» Dig a bit deeper and you just might find that«You are what your parents or grandparents ate.» It’s in the genes. Your body just craves the same things your grandma probably munched on. Just as I start salivating at the pop of a kimchi jar being opened so my husband to twisting open his new bottle of Naturel Sizma EVOO from Turkey via this gem of a store named Oliver. Hubby is not Greek. His family originates from the other Mediterranean coastline destination, the Dalmatian Coast. He did not always eat Mediterranean. It just clicked one day that he’s at his happiest when digging into that Bulgarian Feta, biting into the briny Kalamata olives, sipping mint tea from Croatia, and drizzling some of that fine olive oil onto toasted pita bread(yep, the same Olive Tree pita). You can eat your way around the globe but there’s no escaping your taste roots. Move over kimchi — make room for another bottle of that fine olive oil — this time from Syria.

Oliver is an adorable little wine shop located next door to one of my fave restaurants, the Olive Tree Café. My BF& I had come to the Olive Tree Café with friends and decided to take advantage of the BYOB and celebrate with a bottle of table wine. They have a nice selection of wine at different price points($ 8-$ 20) and as we’re not very wine savvy we just took a few suggestions from the counter person. My friends bought wine glasses for $ 8 a piece and told me that they had gone to another wine shop where the glasses were twice as much. In addition to wines, Oliver also has beer by the bottle, cheeses, olives, cured meats and a slew of specialty food/treats from Greece. Next time I decide to picnic I’m just going to grab a bunch of specialty items from Oliver and try out all the different cheeses and meats. My sweetheart loves all the appetizers at the Olive Tree Café and now I know where to get the ingredients to replicate them at home.

This little Wine Shop located next to the Olive Tree Café is absolutely fantastic. Even though it’s tiny the selections of Wines and Gourmet Greek food items are amazing along with very reasonable pricing. If you enjoy Wine and love the Olive Tree(byob) like we do don’t hesitate to buy your Wine from next door.

Also known as the little wine shop next door to the Olive Tree Café in Kahala. Also known as Brooke’s new place of employment…(shameless plug!) If you’re having dinner at Olive Tree or Green Door, no need to make an extra stop for your bottle of wine– look no further than Oliver. We have lots of affordable yummy wines, as well as a ton of domestic and imported beers by the bottle. The ouzo and retsina go great with Savas’ cuisine at Olive Tree. Try the Samos Greek Muscat with the baklava. We also have some great Greek and Spanish cheeses, jamon serrano, olives, yogurt and the best pita bread in the world. Open every night from 5 – 10. Like I said, shameless plug, not that we need it!
