Good place to get smoothies, coffee, or other types of drinks!

«Badger! What does the Scouter say about their cute level?» «It’s over 9000!» Okay, with that out of the way… I never thought I’d see another maid café again after leaving Akihabara, Tokyo, but four years and 3,800 miles later… I found one. I first saw this maid café on wheels off Ward Avenue, but they have since moved to Sheridan Street, just around the corner from the Yajima(Cosmo) Service Station. It’s a fitting location, just down the road from Hawaii’s one & only car wash robot! The maids here are super friendly, and I’ve had my coffee cup adorned with drawings of various things from all levels of the moe ladder. They’ll also come out and play games with you while your drink or acai bowl(yes, they have that too!) is being maid-made. My favorites so far are their vanilla iced coffee, green tea smoothie, and maid-made omu-rice. Def worth trying if you’re in the area or looking to kill time while getting a safety check at Yajima!

Wondering around town this past weekend, I was just thinking of getting some coffee — then I stumbled upon this fabulous maid café truck parked across from the Convention center.(Kawaii Kon was this weekend) What a pleasant surprise! Both maid and the barista were super friendly, was just going to have a plain black coffee then I thought why not indulge a little — ordered a latte instead. It was slightly expensive, $ 4 for a medium latte, the cup wasn’t filled to the top like say, Starbucks, but I loved how nice they were, especially the maid. She played the«pocky» game with me and if you tip, you get to take pictures! Probably not your everyday coffee joint, but I’d be bringing friends from the mainland for sure.

Grand opening! This little truck is a happy place to get my coffee. Their caramel latte was so good, and I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting much, quite honestly, because these trucks are usually for fellas only, and not coffee drinking fellas either. Glad to say that they’re tastes are good! The Italian soda was good too! Syrup was not too strong, but just right. I was a little skeptical at first, only because I’m a girl, and I’m guessing that these trucks are catered more for men. Girls do not be deterred! The staff are friendly! Looking forward to trying more coffees from this truck. Park in the pay lot after Heco as you come down Ward. Plenty of parking. No entrance from Kapiolani St. I found out the hard way.
