Maunakea Liquor & Grocery

I’ve passed by this «convenience» store many, many times and it’s very seedy. You have a whole bunch of questionable peeps trolling the area as they seem to congregate near this store. Very fishy if you ask me but don’t be alarmed when you come here.
You walk in and the establishment is set up with sensory alarm to inform the staff someone has walked in. Primary selling alcohol and cigarettes, they also carty canned food, prepared items, snacks and so forth.
It’s very clean inside and surprised that it’s air-​conditioned inside. Very comfortable when shopping here as it’s usually warm year around.
There are numerous hand-​written signs warning you NOT to purchase alcohol or tobacco products for under-​aged individuals. Because this store is socially responsible rather than interested in making more money, this gets bonus points from me.
This may seem the norm in Chinatown but you can smell urine on the sidewalk while walking to here. Yuck! :P
A very convenient place if you need to pick-​up some things when you don’t want to walk all the way to either Walmart, Pali Safeway or Longs.
But be aware of the surroundings and keep you eyes open and hold onto your possessions Yeeps when in this area!
