As I was searching for a barber shop in Chinatown, on a very late Sunday afternoon. I passed this place. Mat’s Barber. I was a little hesitant on letting my son have his hair cut here. From the look of the shop and owner, since she was a little older.
Please, do not judge! (Like I did)
I’m glad I gave this place a try and I am very HAPPY I did.
Mat is the owner of this shop, she has over 35 years of experience. She has 3 nephews working at this shop as well. Mat is a slim, very kind, sweet, lady. She is very experience!
I LOVE my son’s new haircut!
After talking story with Mat, (she reminds me of my mother)
I can tell that, she loves and enjoys what she does best!
I will definitely be back, when my son needs another cut and will bring my husband here.
I was happy to see her close to 5 star rating and great reviews on Unilocal.
The shop is a little messy and warned down, but she has been in business, same location for over 35 years. This just shows how historic this place is and her many years of experience. She mentioned she has a lot of repeat customers who went elsewhere for cut and came back to her because they wasn’t happy.
Wow! Her prices are so low/10.00! & no tax!

I am not a big fan of haircuts. I grew up as a kid with my mom cutting my hair all the time. So was kinda spoiled, not having to go to a barber until I was an adult. My wife literally has to bug me all the time when my hair gets long, to go and cut it.
However, I just went there today, to check it out, and I must say it was the best haircut I ever had.
I was blessed to have the retired auntie (owner) who only helps out now cut my hair. She made me feel right at home, and did a great job.
When it was all done, I tried to give her a $ 20 for the $ 10 haircut, and she literally would not take it. She said it was too much and gave me back a $ 5.
I’m definitely going back there.

Efficient, quick and reasonable barber shop. Not fancy but he gets the job done !

$ 10 for a haircut, walked in on my lunch hour and was back in time to grab a bite to eat before I was due back at my desk. Yay!
