I came here together with a friend earlier today to look at boats as he’s thinking about purchasing one. We pretty much spent a couple of hours at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor checking out various boats and came across some boats for sale. We also wanted to see what else was available in Oahu so we came down to Keehi Boat Harbor. To get to Keehi Boat Harbor you drive down Sand Island Access Road. It is just before you reach Sand Island Park and the US Coast Guard. In this area you also have Honolulu Community College(HCC) Marine Education Training Center — — quite a large and impressive building here. Perhaps this was a weekday and during spring break(?) so the Center was pretty much dead. Not many people to be seen at all. In the harbor area, many docks were deteriorated and compared to Ala Wai Boat Harbor, there were many empty docks here. During our stay here, several planes passed by so it was quite noisy from above. This is definitely NOT a place I’d recommend people to come to unless you are looking to dock your boat here or attend the HCC Marine Education Training Center. It’s all open space so it was sure HOT!
