Spectacular Event!
This past Friday the Junior League of Honolulu held their annual «Her Story» event. The keynote speaker was Lisa Ling, journalist from National Geographic and special correspondent for Oprah Winfrey.
Lisa was incredible! She shared her life as a young journalist traveling the world bringing awareness about global issues we knew nothing about! If you’ve ever seen any of Lisa reports, you gain a wonderful, in depth understanding of the topic. She was moving and inspirational!
The seminars that are included in the day long event were also very valuable and «not to be missed».
I am not a member of the Junior League, but was fortunate to be invited.
Next year, mark your calendars and make sure you sign up for this wonderful enlightening event! It is an incredible day to bond with other women and be rejuvenated by their inspirational stories.
