This morning, post yoga, pre-work, I stumbled upon this new gem! Laurence offered his knowledge on juicing and allowed me to combine any of his farm fresh fruits and veggies to my juice. I selected a kale, apple, lemon, ginger combo and boy was it tasty. While the prices are a bit high($ 7.99÷16 oz and $ 9.49/24oz, the quality and taste are superior. Give it a try!

Take heed: This is not a fancy place by any means, and there really isn’t anywhere to sit down and enjoy your beverage. .. but it is otherwise a fantastic juice bar! I personally enjoy fresh juices but have not yet gotten to the point where I will enthusiastically order a drink that’s loaded with kale or spinach, nor am I expert enough to throw together my own concoctions. Lucky for me, Juice Box has the Tropical Breeze, a nice, sweet(but not too sweet) mix of tropical fruit. Service is great here. When I visited on a Friday afternoon, a young guy was working alone behind the counter, but he served four customers with ease and even poured us some samples while we waited in line. Parking is tough to come by in this neighborhood, but if you circle the block a couple of times, you can almost always find something.

Over $ 6 for a small cup of green juice is pretty pricey. I make green juices all the time at home and was craving some while on vacation and Juice Box(cute name BTW) was the only place around that made healthy juices and not unhealthy sugary juices masked as healthy juices. As you can tell, I was tired of drinking POG by that time. I got the Green Lemonade and the strongest flavor was definitely celery. That didn’t bother me because I rather have more vegetables than fruit. I like that they top off your drink with a sample cup of it, like a baker’s dozen type of gesture.

Probably won’t be back here. When my fiancé and I walked in, the employee was behind the dirty counter cutting up watermelon and eating it… with a large knife. He didn’t speak except to say, «Would you like some watermelon? Only $ 5.» Are you kidding me? Then, as I was looking over the menu board and decided on a drink, he asked the other employee«Do you want to make this?» Oh… I’m sorry if I’m interrupting your knife-wielding watermelon playtime. I probably should’ve walked out at that point… but I wanted juice! Watermelon Man ended up making my drink anyway. I ordered the Green Lemonade(and man their juicer is nasty… maybe clean it once in a while?) My problem with the drink itself is, while most of the ingredients used were fresh, he pulled out a container of green liquid in what looked like a ketchup bottle and another with whitish juice(kale and ginger juice I assume.) He squirted the mystery contents into my drink after juicing some apples, celery and spinach and handed me the potion. I drink juices because I love the flavor and I love the health benefits. Produce starts to oxidize quickly after it’s juiced(about 20 minutes.) If you’re giving me previously squeezed juice(and ginger) that’s god-knows-how-old, you may as well be giving me water. Who pays $ 10 for water? If I’m paying $ 10 for juice, I want it fresh. You’re a JUICE bar for fracks sake. Go back to eating your watermelon but it’ll be the last time I spend my money to watch you do it.

Love the green glow and healthy berry but it’s totally uncool that you raise the prices without showing them on the menu. $ 8 for a medium smoothie?

Came here for a second visit today. The first time I came here last year, I learned that the Juice Box comes with certain territory: it’s on the expensive side, and that there’s a good chance you might be waiting awhile for your drink if it’s busy. These two things I don’t mind too much, because first off they’re using all fresh ingredients for your order, and also there’s usually only one person behind the counter making your order fresh and delicious! Now onto today, those two things remained consistent. The guy behind the counter was friendly, efficient and my Green Glow smoothie was perfectly refreshing. However what pretty much shattered what I knew and expected out of my visit was a very nasty argument between who I am assuming to be the owner of Juice Box and another employee within the store. They were arguing over installing SHELVES! Expletives and all! It was pretty cringey to overhear the two while waiting for my smoothie, and even more cringey that they felt that that conversation was completely appropriate to hold in store in front of customers. The guy behind the counter looked pretty embarrassed for their actions. Unsure if I’ll be back if that’s how the owner handles things, what a shame.

*heart eyes emoji* *heart eyes emoji* *heart eyes emoji*(is that what it’s called? and how ridiculous that i need emoji to properly express my feelings!) this place is amazing. expensive, but amazing. it’s become one of our weekend rituals. and rightfully so. their banana bread smoothie tastes. like. banana bread. how the heck! it’s crazy! i wasn’t expecting that. you know. healthy stuff trying to taste like yummy stuff… it doesn’t usually work out. i’ve tried numerous recipes, so i know haha. but this. oh. my. gosh. i’ve also tried the carrot cake one, but the banana bread is much better! i usually get the green glow but the berry smoothie is so good! and they’re all filled with such amazing ingredients. my son even loves them. so much that he won’t give me any, so i asked that they pour some of my large smoothie into a small cup for my son. they happily did it and i swear it ended up being more than just a large. and boy am i glad. thanks to the sweetiebears working there who helped me avoid the whole awkward begging my 1.5 year old to share my own smoothie with me. haha.

Juice Box is ah-mahzing! I love: –The look of the place: black door, simple white lettering, «Organic» painted on the front window, menu in handwritten neon paint, iPad/Square credit card combo, glass-doored refrigerators showing proof of fresh(not frozen) ingredients. Also, I like the black straws they use. –Inventive juice combos: I have a thing against juice places who use too much orange juice, apple juice or bananas to make their drinks. Those ingredients feel like cheap fillers to me. Juice Box doesn’t rely on one or two ingredients to prop up their juices. Instead, they use smart combinations of quality ingredients. There’s going to be something for everyone, regardless of whether you like fruits, vegetables, or both(and more). Plus, you have many options to customize your drink, including chia seeds and bee pollen. –The«NYC-ness» of it: When I go to new places, I stack them against the places I’ve been around the world. For some reason, places in Hawaii tend to underachieve as far as stepping outside the box goes. Let’s face it: It’s way easier to open(yet another) ramen restaurant than it is to open a place that only sells juice. Juice Box is unique to Hawaii, but it feels like it could be a NYC transplant. In my opinion, it’s easily the best juice place on Oahu right now because it’s dared to defy the norm. –The location: I will admit that if my friends hadn’t taken me, I would probably be too turned off by the lack of designated parking to casually drop by. I love that Juice Box knows its demographic and has planted itself among people who care about being healthy(the joggers, hikers, surfers, park-goers, yogaphiles and weekend warriors). –I recommend: Both the Lassi(includes Greek Yogurt NOT frozen yogurt) and Watermelon Cooler(great for rehydrating after physical activity) are beyond delicious. I’m not exaggerating that I drank a medium Lassi in 3 minutes. Next time I go back, I definitely have my eye on a few other juices, although all of them sound über appealing.

The green lemonade is definitely delicious. The workers here are nice. It was kind of tucked away though. I almost walked right passed it, but I was following my blue dot on my Iphone’s google maps app.

How can someone not like this place? And why, oh, why did I wait so long to try it? I had it booked marked for quite a while and then while a friend was visiting from out of state we decided to try it out. We had just finished hiking Diamond Head and we were wanting something other then water to drink — so I quickly pulled up my book marks — and like magic — It was there! I had the tropical breeze drink and my friend had the green lemonade. Both of them were so darn good! And healthy! And obviously veg friendly! AWESOME! Service was a bit slow, but it didn’t matter — fresh ingreidents, not a terrible price pointa and a yummy drink. I wish it wasn’t such a far drive or I’d be here WAY more often. But that being said since all the running races seem to be around this area on Oahu — it can be my reward after running! :)

Yummy cool lil spot right on Monseratt. Love this place! I had the Berry Health that has kale, coconut, flax, almond milk, bananas, and berries. It was very yummy and I would much rather have this then go to Jamba Juice! This place is the real deal! You can choose from smoothies or juices.

First time to juice box and the staff was very friendly. I like the idea of this place and it offers a simply, yet interesting selection of juices. I ordered a juice with pineapple, orange, and papaya. It reminded me of an Orange Julius, but way healthier and with more distinguished flavor. The 12 oz. juice came out to about $ 5. Not too bad, but I drank it in about 5 mins. So if you’re looking something to savor, you may want to go a little cheaper.

I was excited to see this place pop up in my search for fresh juices(that weren’t chain or boasting a menu that consisted of solely pineapple) and more ecstatic that it was a healthy trek from busy Waikiki Beach. They’ve got a menu of made-to-order juices(no bottled cold-pressed stuff here) and smoothies that aren’t as pricey as their mainland counterparts and prove to be a great morning jolt of island living in a 16oz container, afternoon post-hike refreshment, or alternative to a rice-heavy meal. Pay a visit after all your bookmarked poke, katsu, sushi, spam places start to bleed together.

My first time and sadly the girl who made my two drinks was a bit unprofessional. First I watched her pour the wrong juices in both containers. My juice was carrot juice while my friends juice was banana and strawberries. She poured the carrot juice in the banana and strawberries and said to herself«oh…shit» but instead of making a new one she continued making the drink. Yum… She then proceeded to add apple juice to my carrot juice, and said again said«oh, shit» and poured it out. Nice… My real beef was that instead of taking into consideration that someone could be allergic to carrot juice WHENMYSECONDDRINKISSUPPOSEDTOBESTRAWBERRIESANDBANANAS… she decided to still serve them to me. Anyway, I continue to watch her spill some carrot juice on the floor/her foot(dang maybe you’re just having a bad day)… ANYWAY. I told her for future reference perhaps you should remake the drink, because I saw you accidentally put the wrong juice. You never know whose allergic. She defends her self saying people usually tell her if their allergic to something… however WHYSHOULDWE if the items on the menu list clearly what I am SUPPOSEDTOBEDRINKING. Nice excuse lady. Our drinks were okay, I’m willing to try anther time because I do love the concept of a fresh squeezed smoothie… I hope she won’t be making my drink by then

Great place to stop at after hiking Diamond Head. I’m currently sipping on a blueberries, almond milk, flax seed, banana and coconut flakes concoction. They have whey protein in some of their smoothies, which means they’re actually not vegan. But for a fresh fruit smoothie lover like me, this place hits the spot.

I’m not really sure what I was expecting. The name of the store is «Juice Box» after all, but it doesn’t mean there are very many fruit juices… I love fruit juice, but it seems Juice box caters to the very health conscious crowd in the diamond head/kahala area by serving mostly vegetable juice. The use of kale, beets, cabbage, carrot, etc is prevalent in almost all their juices and smoothies. I feel like they have so much potential to use local fruits. I would pay good money for some fresh local fruit juice(guava, mango, soursop, etc.) They also serve the juice at room temperature… yuck. I guess they think it’ll water down the juice, but I’m sorry, I like my juice cold. You can ask for ice, but it’ll just make your $ 8 drink less valuable. I think I prefer to make my own smoothies at home that include more fruit.

I happened to stumble upon this place on Monday, the grand opening. The owners; Laurence and Valerie were as nice as can be, and are ALLABOUT customer service. The drink that I had was the Green Lemonade, I wanted to cry because it was fresher than fresh, and the flavors were so pronounced like nothing other. Go ahead and take a peek into this new gem on Monsarrat, you’ll be blissfully surprised. Mahalo! :-)

I love the simplicity of the Juice Box, this amazing juice bar in Diamond Head, in Honolulu. This place is a must go! It’s super cute, and their drinks are delicious! I got two different things, just to try them. 1. Berry Health — a green smoothie 2. Red Queen — a red juice I spoke to the owner, and they try to do organic and local produce as much as they can find it. His name is Laurence, and he is super cool. They currently open at 6 a.m. It’s a tiny bit more pricey than Jamba, but worth it. It is so fresh and tasty, and I say go! I live in the neighborhood, so when I saw signs for this place, I was super excited. It’s on my running route, so I’ve seen the owners around a few times, and they are super nice and chill people. I stopped by the other night to ask when they were opening, and they gave me the scoop. You should stop by!
