I was referred to Dr. Iha by my dentist Dr. Kevin Mizoguchi. I was dreading to have gum surgery because it sounded painful and another thing to add to my long list of things I already have to do.
My consultation with Dr. Iha went really well and I never felt pressured or threatened as if I didn’t had a choice. Dr. Iha has a very calm and kind personality. His staff are amazing too! They all treated me like family from day 1!
Couple of days after my surgery I got a call from Dr. Iha himself! It felt good to know that I wasn’t just another patient in his appt book. Dr. Iha always makes eye contact with you and is very patient. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a gum specialist.

I needed to get gum surgery for all teeth of both sides so I was referred by my dentist, dr lester harunaga.
I had to get gum surgery for all teeth of both sides except front teeth.
It was pretty big surgery so i was pretty scared that i needed to get through all painful job n frustrated that i would get huge bill.
But Dr Iha did a good job so both went well.
Also the bill was reasonable i think.

I have a fear of dentists so when I found out that I needed surgery, I wanted to cry (In fact, I did). :(
I was referred to Dr. Iha by my dentist, Dr. Carey Chang. When I went for my initial evaluation, Dr. Iha was very thorough and informative. He gave it to me straight and helped me understand why it was happening, what would happen after the surgery, what would happen without the surgery, etc. He explained everything very simply so I could make the best decision possible for my dental health.
I had my surgery this weekend and I must say, this has been one of the most pleasant (if you could call it that) dental experiences I have ever had. He and his assistant were very professional and calming during the procedure. I loved that they give you headphones to listen to music, which helped to distract my mind and feel more at ease.
I felt really good after the surgery, but I thought once the numbness wore off, it would be painful. It has been 2 days now and I have not had hardly any pain at all!
This morning I received a follow up call from Dr. Iha to see how I was doing. Not his assistant, Dr. Iha himself… what a nice personal touch!
I would highly recommend Dr. Iha to anyone needing periodontal work! He and his staff are definitely 5 star in my book! :)

i made an appointment with dr. iha because of a botched dental (laser) procedure by a hygienist that further inflamed my gums.
after several visits with this periodontist, i am THOROUGHLY PLEASED with the outcome. my gums had receded, so we talked about the various options. i chose to have two connective tissue graphs; each process took about one month from start to finish.
dr. iha and his staff are both professional and friendly. i was put to ease with their patience in answering my barrage of questions. each time i called with a question before the procedure and during the healing process, they assured me with great knowledge and patience.
in fact, this office is SOOOOO AWESOME that i will now have additional cleanings with their hygienist to continue my path for healthy teeth and gums.
dr. iha is gentle, informed, professional and patient. you really can’t ask for more!!!
