The best thing about this park is that it’s a private park owned by an association and not a public park so dogs are allowed! It’s a great neighborhood park where everyone brings their dogs but beware some afternoons/weekdays there are children sports practices going on!

We go to this field three times a week for son’s soccer practice. It’s a nice open field with a lot of trees for shade for parents. There is also a sand volleyball practice area. Parking is along the park or across the street. The big downside is that there is no public restrooms here. This field is used for parking during Sony Open.

Now that my hubby and I are light jogging/heavy walking fanatics we’ve discovered a lot of great parks and beach accesses we never knew about before. Hunakai Park is a nice sized park tucked away near residences on Hunakai Street. There is a volleyball sand pit where I’ve seen a lot of people make great use of. I heard they not only have volleyball games, but volleyball lessons there as well. I like how there are rocks/boulders spaced along the outer perimeter of the park. I guess that’s to ensure no one drives their vehicles into the park. Lots of grass for children to run around, and a few scattered trees in case you need some shade. The last time we were there, we saw a few dogs running around in the park. I’m not sure if dogs are allowed in the park or not, I’ll have to recheck the signs the next time I go. The park is very well maintained, I will definitely bring my daughter there again. PICSUPLOADED:
