Hawaiian Mission Elementary & Intermediate School

I do not know if they are a good school.
Are they a good neighbor, definitely not. They believe that the rules and laws do not apply for them. Signs are posted in direct violation of the law. I know that they are aware of the laws because I have taken the time to have the police explain the laws to them. But more signs go up.
So I would say that it is a true sign that they are not good neighbors when they ignore the laws regarding signs.

A small family oriented school nestled in the heart of Makiki. Hawaiian mission academy K-​8 is an seventh day Adventist sponsored school that teaches not only top notch academics but a spiritual education that teaches children to be outstanding citizens as well as loving caring people. My daughter just finished her kindergarten year here and I was definitely impressed with the staff. Classes are bunched together by grades (k-1,2−3,4−5,6−7,8^th). I think my daughter learned more being around the 1^st grade class in that she is advanced in things a normal kindergarten class could teach her. The teacher (one of the best I’ve seen) spends a lot of time with each student that my daughter got a lot of attention not like a lot of our public schools in Hawaii. The same attention is taken with the upper grades as I see all the students excel and grow into upstanding people. I recommend this school with all my heart. It’s definitely smaller than Punahou (and less expensive) but I definitely think that this school is just as good as any other Private school out there in Hawaii.
