As sit here in the lounge relaxing before my flight, I figure I mine as well write a review of the place. I believe I wrote one before but it got removed for a reason I don’t get(they said wrong place) but oh well. It’s a rather large area with couches, chairs, tables and outlets galore. They offer free soft drinks and the famous juice in the cup that they serve on inter-island flights. They have a few snacks and coffee. The lounge has its private bathrooms that are clean. Lastly, free… yes free wifi I wish I could utilize this place more when I travel. Hopefully soon I will be a gold member.

Well, my first time in here and figured I’d kill some time by writing a quickie review on my way over to Vegas. The space is clean, that’s for sure. The refreshments are standard with a soda dispenser(coca cola products) coffee, an espresso maker, and an ice and water machine. Munchies are pretty non-existent with just 2 glass jars of their pau hana snack mix… same as the little bags you get on the plane. I guess the best perks would be the a/c is cold, and the complimentary wifi… and that it’s quiet. Overall, I’m a little disappointed at the lack of amenities. Some other reviews point out that some of the other HA lounges have more to offer, unfortunately this isn’t one of them.

Where did all the snacks go? Thank goodness I didn’t join premier club for the lounge-but for the baggage allowance! First of all they moved it all the way down towards the mainland gate side(yea, das da pidgin comin out). Oh, and no mo signs-junk li’dat! It’s a big room, but not easy to get around in. The way the seats are facing means you have to walk all the way around to sit in them-they don’t face you, they face away from you. You’ll see what I mean. If you have a mainland flight, it’s almost not worth hanging out in the premier club because at some point you still need to give yourself time to get to the gates, which aren’t that close(and still got agriculture too).

I agree with the other frequent travelers who think Hawaiian Airlines’ Premier lounge pales in comparison to all others. It’s crowded and there’s no food or alcohol, so what’s point? That being said, I’m sure the lack of amenities is due to the fact the lounge isn’t just for first class passengers. Hawaiian has a fairly generous program that awards premier status to frequent flyers, and since this is an island chain, there are lots of residents who travel frequently between islands for work, medical appointments, etc. It’s nice when local companies give a little perk because the cost of living is so high, but because all those island hoppers get access to the lounges, it gets pretty crowded. In the airline’s defense, it would be too cost prohibitive to give free food and drinks to all those people who aren’t paying first class fares. There’s a simple solution, though. Hawaiian has another lounge at Honolulu airport that does offer more amenities, but it’s only available to international travelers holding business or first class tickets. Why not make that lounge available to all first class passengers, including those on mainland flights?

I had to walk quite a ways to get here. I had some high expectations, I was expecting some fresh fruit at least! But the area is cool, quiet-ish, drinks available and a bathroom close by. There is no food beside the little flight snacks. At least the chairs are comfy. Not too bad but I was disappointed in my first lounge experience.

What a disappointment! After reading all the reviews on here I almost didn’t walk over to the lounge at all. Now I wish I hadn’t. I saw all the reviews about the lounge not having food so I decided to pick up breakfast at Starbucks. The lounge was packed when I walked in and the receptionist immediately told me no outside food allowed. So either Hawaiian Airlines has launched some kind of grassroots diet program for its frequent travelers or they just haven’t invested in janitorial staff to handle the occasional cleanup(which is pretty gross if you think about it). Either way, I agree with the other reviewers… These guys should really step up their game to be competitive.

I had high hopes because they had renovated the lounge since my last visit a year ago. Ok, the chairs are pretty comfy and the place looks new. Unfortunately the good news end here. No food except those small airline snack bags. Water, juice, coffee, tea. Would it kill you guys to put some yogurts in that fridge? I’m paying for a first class ticket and even mediocre lounges like Alaska offer more food and drink options. Also 2 bathroom stalls on the women side is a little scant. The desk personnel unfriendly, where is the Aloha? They will not relay any information regarding your flight. In general, an atmosphere like a mildly upscale greyhound station(as I imagine)

Awful lounge. Very small. The receptionist are not polite and did not welcome us when we entered the lounge. I was very disappointed. I was really hoping they would have complimentary food instead of just packaged snack mix.

Why all of the bad reviews for this lounge? Yes, it pales in comparison to other major airlines lounges and you should view these perks as «bonuses»: Free wi-fi — don’t know why HNL charges for wi-fi, it’s free to every airport I’ve been to(that’s a lot of airports, even Reykjavik is free). So this is a nice freebie. Drinks and sodas — no alcohol, this is a great way to fill up your water bottle before going on your flight. More Comfortable Seats — this are way more comfortable than the standard ones by the gate.

Extremely rude service! The lady working the night shift on August 8, 2015 was extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming. She asked for my first class boarding pass three times in 15 mins. How can she forget so quickly I just showed her? Then she told my elderly mother she needs to leave. Never felt so unwanted, she obviously didn’t want to be there. Disgusting attitude. She ruined the first part of my vacation.

Let’s be clear, this is the only lounge I’ve ever been into so I have nothing to compare it to. I’ve been a Pualani gold member for a few years now so I’ve seen the transition from the old Premier Club lounge to the new one. I think HA did a lovely job with the renovations including the new layout and amenities. Highlights: * Way more seating and areas to plug in. * Espresso machine and crushed ice/water soda station. I bring my hydroflask every time I fly now so I can fill up my water. * Super clean bathrooms(two private stalls in womens restroom). * Snacks are the little teal bags of almond cracker mix. I don’t mind coming to the airport early at all because I have an amazing space to catch up with email and utilize the free wifi.

Meh, I wouldn’t pay for this lounge. No one is really guarding the front desk anyhow, so feel free to walk in like you’re VIP I guess. Domestic flight lounges are weak. All they have here is soda, tea, juice, and a small trail mix. The only nice thing about this lounge is that there are a lot of USB ports for charging your phones, etc. I sat in this lounge for a few minutes and decided my time would be better spent walking around.

Star rating for the service is minus if I can score it. The receptionists are lack of the normal Hawaaiin happy easy manner. It is a sub-standard lounge paired with sub-Standard attitudes. Food or snacks are mediocre but it’s nice to have a wifi working when your connection flight is 10 hours away. On 9÷28÷2015, I booked first class round trip ticket between LA and Tokyo. Going to Tokyo, I was directed to a lounge that was kind of sub-standard with only packaged snacks and minimum drinks. When I asked the receptionist to remind me when boarding is near. She then directed me to the international lounge. It’s larger and with one hot Japanese Meat Bao. The receptionist was courteous and helpful. But it’s new and there was no one in the lounge for about 3 hours. So that was very nice. I took a picture to show my husband bbc he was taking the same flight a week later. The mix up occurred on our return trip. We flew on the 10/21/2015 from Osaka, Japan arrived 09:10 am but has a connection flight at 9:45pm to LAX. After overseas flight, we were in need of a good rest and wifi area. But the receptionist refused our entry. They both stated that they accept only departing passengers not arriving passengers. So we were sent to the AA in terminal 7. That’s a good 15 minutes walk across all other terminals from terminal 1. I asked if they can make an exception but both receptionists apologetically refused.(I was thinking if I were them I would admit the first class guest disregard if they were departing or arriving. W e were very tired from the flight and looked worn out but that’s no concern of theirs. Besides, there were only 3 people including 1 cleaning lady in the lounge. The place looked very empty. So we took the walk of 15 min walked to the AA counter. The receptionist(Diane)at AA said that we shouldn’t have to pay AA $ 100⁄2. We are entitled the complimentary at HA with no fee at HA international lounge. She immediately made a phone call before sending us back. There were some discussions and HA side said that they would call back in 5 min. We waited More than 15 min. There were no call back from HA. So Diana made a follow up call but there was no answer for another 5 min. At this time, we figured they didn’t want to answer Diana’s phone call. Diana called another HA lounge and got an“okay” to send us back to HA. By the time we arrived to HA international lounge in HA, we were exhausted. My husband’s back was really bothering him. There were two same receptionists at the counter but no one acknowledged us. They were both helping one couple at the counter.(I do not think it requires both of them to take care of one couple). Anyway, no one made any eye contact with us. One person barely checked our tickets and waved us in. Will I ever use this service again? «NOT» if I can help it.

One of the baddest experiences of my life. First the loss of my golf clubs right before a tournament. Then at the Kona airport a bunch of guys from japan ignore the super long line and walk up to the counter where the guy helps them? Un believable! HAWAIIAN AIRLiNES SUCK!

I belong to United, Delta and Virgin Premier clubs and they all blow away the HAL club. It just does not feel like you are part of anything elite. A more appropriate name would be the average or adequate lounge. Just as another reviewer, I’m a loyal HAL flyer and almost always fly them when I’m flying home to Hawaii to visit family or friends. That’s why it’s sad that I have to give them such a low rating. I hope they step up their game and build/renovate their lounge(s). Until then I’ll grin and bear it.

The Hawaiian Airlines premier club lounge has very modest offerings. The seating is relatively comfy but the creature comforts end there. Yes, the lounge provides a nice sanctuary where you could have a soda, coffee, or POG and a small pack of in flight peanut snacks while waiting for your flight. But it is definitely not on par with the major airlines lounge like the American Airlines Admirals Club or the Delta Sky Lounge which offer alcohol and more food choices. Hawaiian Airlines has done an amazing job in the last few years to become a major international & domestic carrier but they must step up their game to remain competitive. This lounge is barely worth the effort to go to before your flight.

I can’t really complain, as I was a guest of a Pualani Gold frequent flyer, but I will anyway — this is one seriously substandard airline lounge. It makes United Clubs look good by comparison, and I didn’t think that was possible. Free snack mix and soda/tea/coffee/POG, and comfortable seating(although, not enough of it when the lounge is busy), but that’s about it. Especially since HNL is the home city of the airline, I’d really expect something better about this lounge. «No outside food» is an ominous sign. No bar. One saving grace is the airport itself is decent outside the lounge. I’d probably spend most of my time there. The real failure is the dragons don’t check your flight, so when any boarding/changes/etc. are made, you’re not notified. Much safer to just wait at the gate. Someone from Hawaiian should buy into an Amex Centurion lounge, or at least a United Club or AA Admirals Club on the mainland, to see what an airport lounge should be. If they really want to impress, try Singapore’s lounges at SIN, or Cathay’s options in Hong Kong, or Turkish in IST.

I guess beggars can’t be choosers but I was very disappointed by this lounge. I figured that HA would have a nice lounge at their home airport… guess again. First off not to seem like an alchie but THEREISNOBARHERE. No cash bar, no free bar NOBOOZE!!! WTF! Second, this place is extremely outdated and I think it still smells like smoke from when you could smoke indoors… how long ago was that? On the plus side there is free wi-fi and soft drinks but overall this is one of the crappiest first class lounges I have ever been at. Hawaiian Air — I think it’s time to spend some money to upgrade this lounge…

I am going to keep this review simple and sweet. Quiet. Free pub mix which is usually given during beverage service on the plane. Private single occupancy men’s restroom. I’m not sure about the women’s restroom. Free pog, soft drinks, coffee. Good place to refill your hydro flask or empty water bottle you chugged 5 minutes before because you liquids are not allowed through the security checkpoint. One large TV with sofas. Was only here for 30 – 45 minutes. Lounge would probably be more useful before an international flight. Free, password protected wireless internet. Had to pause a few times to buffer a 360p episode of New Girl. Quite sad. No outside food or drinks allowed. Simple solution: eat outside for 5 minutes and come back in. The main appeal to me is the peace and quiet, free cold water, free wifi, comfortable chairs, couches, and minimal people to compete with for outlets. Not needing to take your bags with you into the restroom is also nice. If there were better snacks and the wifi didn’t need to buffer a low quality video every couple minutes, I would give this lounge 4 – 5 stars. Is it worth the $ 300 for Premier Club? You be the judge.

As a loyal Hawaiian Airlines flyer for the past 26 years, I must say a nice perk with flying a lot is getting double mileage as a platinum card holder, and getting to stay in Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club Lounge. There is nothing out of the ordinary about the lounges in the Hawaiian islands — they offer free WiFi, salty snacks, juice, soda, & coffee. I think the lounges that Hawaiian shares with the other airlines on the mainland is just a step better, as those lounges offer booze, finger sandwiches, fruit, and other heavier snacks. But if you’re flying within the Hawaiian islands, the lounge is more than adequate to give you a little rest from the hustle & bustle from a hard work day. Also, I must recognize one person who works in the lounge… as she has the face of Hawaiian Airlines… her name is Marylin, she usually works on the downstairs lounge where the Aloha Airlines lounge use to be. Marylin is very kind, & helpful when you have any issues with your flights. She also has a very good memory, as she address a lot of people by their name. I still remember many years ago, when I use to go to the lounge, Marylin would address me in the morning like — «Good morning Mr. Chan», or «Hello, Mr. Chan», and I’m thinking…“Oh, is my father here?”, and felt like I had to turn around and look for him. Lol!!! Marylin is a true professional and addresses everyone in very business manner, but for me, I’m just Fran or Francis… and I’m also perfectly happy if someone addresses my like — «Wassup Bruddah Fran!». Lol!!!
