This guy is a real peace of work. I had a specialty piece of equipment (geiger counter) and needed the voltage checked on the transformer (would have taken two minutes). He said he could fix it, even though he had no idea what it was. I had the schematic so thought it was reasonable that he might be able to fix it. I told him the equipment only cost $ 100 and was over 50 years old. He wanted $ 30 for the estimate and said it would be applied to the repairs. Again, I told him that what I primarily wanted him to do was check the voltage, and that I did not want to spend much money on the item. He told me he would have an answer in two days. Well, two days later I did get a call from him, but he had no idea who I was. I had to remind him several times that I had the geiger counter and had already left it with him. He said he would call me back later that day. Well, he didn’t.
So this game went on several more days and finally he called me to say I could meet him to discuss the repairs.
When I got there he said the repairs would cost $ 150 but could not tell me what he was going to repair. Further, he had forgotten what the device was, again. I told him that $ 150 was not reasonable for such a simple circuit, especially considering that it was 50% more than the unit cost in the first place. He then accused me of lying about the price, then he accused me of lying about the age of the equipment.
I feel like I waisted $ 30 and a week of time and got nothing but aggrivation in the process. This guy’s english is poor, he is rarely in his shop, and has NO INTEREST in customer service. The place is a mess and obviously neglected. So much for giving a struggling local business a chance.

so the guy there is a bit rough around the edges but he gets the work done and works pretty fast. he charged me $ 20 to do an estimate but it went towards fixing the tv i brought over. i would recommend him for work, just don’t be offended if he sounds a little rude, i think he’s just one for very few words… and he gets right to the point…

If you don’t care so much about «Customer Service,» then go here. I won’t even waste my time and type more. Maybe later when I get to deal with some other company to compare it to… but till then, standby.
