Gilbert Ching is the amazing personal trainer for Dynamix Health & Fitness. I met Gilbert when I first started working out at RomGym about a year ago. Prior to working out at ROM, I did ZERO exercise. When I met Gilbert, I had only been doing ROM for about 3 weeks, so I was still working towards leading a more active and fit lifestyle and not feeling very confident in my fitness. I was VERY hesitant about working with a personal trainer, for fear of failure, embarrassment and the thought that I just may not even be able to get through a workout! He allowed me to try one session with him for free, and I thought I would just give it a try. At that point, I was the heaviest I have ever been, eating anything that I wanted, and feeling really junk about my health and well being. BUT Gilbert changed all of that! I am actually truly grateful that I met Gilbert because he got me out of my slump, helped me to achieve fitness goals that I NEVER would have done on my own, he got my nutrition into shape and most importantly, he gave me confidence in myself that I could«kill it»! He focuses on not only exercise and physical fitness, but also nutrition… TRUE nutrition that involves eating balanced, whole food, high nutrient foods. I also like the fact that he used to be a physical therapist, so he truly understands the body and correct form. Gilbert is always positive, always smiling, very encouraging and very supportive. Within my first 3 months of working out with Gilbert around 2x a week, I lost 5% body fat and gained a lot of confidence! If you are looking for a personal trainer, I HIGHLY recommend Gilbert! He also has just started group classes, which are high intensity 30 minute classes at ROM gym 6 days a week. You don’t have to be a member of ROM to take his classes, but it’s half the price if you are a member. Classes are limited to 6 people so you are still getting a very personalized work out. I’ve had a chance to meet many other people who are Gilbert’s clients from taking his classes, and every single one has had great results from training with Gilbert. If you are needing some encouragement and guidance in your fitness routine, or if you just want to continue on your fitness path and try something new, you should give Gilbert a call, or check him out at ROM Gym in the Imperial Plaza. Gilbert is a terrific trainer. He is energetic, always enthusiastic and positive. He saw me realizing my goal of losing weight and being healthier when all I saw was another losing battle with willpower and faith. I was already a RomGym member and liked the 8min workout but haven’t seen results. Gilbert started shortly after and offered a free assessment session. His routine seems simple, 4 exercises, 1min each, 4times but very effective. I have lost 30lbs and have kept it off since training with Gilbert a year ago. Nutrition and sticking to it is hard but do-able with his instructions. I am healthier and happier thanks to Gilbert so please give him a try. You’ll see results just like I did. I have been struggling with my weight all of my life. I would go to the gym and spend 2 hours working out 2 – 3 times a week with very little to no results. I’ve tried personal training, Jenny Craig and multiple boot camps. These all worked for a little while but wasn’t anything I could stick with. I found this gym called RomGym on LIving Social. I thought I’d give it a try and I absolutely love it. It’s an 8 minute workout that you do 4 minutes of upper body and 4 minutes of lower body. While there I met Gilbert, a personal trainer with Dynamix Health & Fitness. He trains exclusively at the RomGym on Kapiolani Blvd. He was very friendly and personable. He asked what my goals were and of course I said lose weight. He said he could help me if I was interested and so I decided to give it a try. I’m so happy that I did. He is the BEST trainer I have ever had. He has a way of pushing you to do your best and always keeping it positive. He also stresses the importance of healthy eating along with regular exercise. He has helped me to learn to make healthier choices and portion control. I have been working out with Gilbert for almost a year now, I have to date lost 35 lbs and have brought my cholesterol down to where my doctor no longer wants to put me on meds. She sees the positive progress I’ve been making and says to just keep doing what I’m doing. I still have a ways to go with the weight but I know I will get there. Gilbert has been my best gym friend who always motivates me and cheers on all my accomplishments. He truly has a good heart and wants to see people better themselves. Looking for a GREAT trainer, look him up. You will be glad you did. I know I am. Thank you, Gilbert!!!
