Dragon Gate Book Store

This book store is located at the Chinatown cultural plaza they sale variety of Kpop dvd and Chinese books I enjoy coming to this local Asian book store the owner and her husband is so heart warming they greet us every time we enter or leave the store I usually go there to buy books for my son but now that I’m into korean dramas I’m sure to buy a load of DVDs for my self and for my dad !

I have been going to the little shop in the Chinese culture plaza for more than 10 years now. It is the one stop shop to buy my parents birthday, x’mas, father & Mother’s Day gifts. The owner is very knowledgeable about the videos. She always helped me to pick the best Kung fu movies for my dad & some excellent Korean dramas for my mom. She has a huge collection on Chinese & Korean video & some Japanese video. I enjoyed going there.

We have been customers of the bookstore for quite a few years. In the beginning, we’d visit often buying DVD’s every visit, but in recent years haven’t been there as often. When we were buying things, the owner was very friendly. However, on a recent visit she was plain rude. She complained that we only visit to ask about the good movies, but haven’t bought bought anything in the past two years. Then she complained about how we need to support local businesses since her rent is going up and she may not be able to stay in business. While we aren’t buying as much as we used to, you need to learn how to speak to customers. My husband and I were stunned, we couldn’t believe that she was so rude. Mind you, we still make a special effort to buy our Chinese zodiac books from her every year which we will now find somewhere else.
Maybe this why your business isn’t doing well, you need to learn how to speak to people, least of all customers!

I love that this place sells Korean stuff!!! ^^ I’m a huge EXO fan, and if they have their stuff for sale I would go crazy fan girl over it and buy their exo products :) especially their wolf album, I’m gonna go again next time :)

Its a small Chinese bookstore that sells a variety of Chinese stuff. I agree with Anita about her comments in many ways.
I would like to add though that the Chinese DVD’s there is a little more expensive than usual. I found a few of the same DVD’s sold also at Walmart for around 30% less. Big difference!

An excellent little store which sells Chinese books and books on Chinese-​related topics such as astrology etc. The store itself is very small and it’s actually quite difficult to squeeze through the narrow aisle. However, I was able to find some Chinese books which my son was studying at his old school in California which definitely came in handy for me since I haven’t been able to find a school for him to continue his Mandarin lessons. Would’ve given it 5-​stars but took a star off for the crampness and sheer impossibility to manoeuver yourself around its premises.
