Absolutely disgusting food, my $ 15 Hawaiian burger tasted like something from an old bowling alley. My wife got chicken teriyaki that tasted like a generic frozen meal. So bad, worst airport food ever, below food court quality, high prices, avoid!

So you’re leaving Hawaii and you’re like«oh my god I reallllllyyyy want kalua pork for the last time before I leave.» Dewar’s can serve you up kalua pork between two really non-heated buns. Of course it’s not the greatest pork, but whatever. This place is like your typical airport bar with their higher than average prices. We chose this place because its still better than the other cafeteria food options around at the airport. Tl;dr decent food, last chance for kalua pork before you leave this freaking gorgeous island.

A disgusting rip off! $ 4 something for a SODAWATER??? I realize this is the airport and all, but that is CRAZY! The food also sucked, stale bread on the hamburger! Absolute disgrace for the price! Which I had read the reviews before eating at this place!

The only reason we ate here was because our flight was delayed. Considering all the other places to eat at the airport we figured this would be one of the better ones. Lets just put it this way, if you want to eat overpriced frozen food then this is your place.

Food here comes prepackaged in bags and frozen. I cant order steamed veggies without butter or extra salt because its already in there. Nachos werent that great either because the tortilla chips had an odd stale aftertase as for the cheese, it comes out to be solidified bright yellow«cheese» that has mostly salt and doesnt melt. Its really overpriced and isnt gourmet dining at all. You are better off eating at McDonalds or have some good quality food at Starbucks

We were very nervous about eating at airport but this turned out to be wonderful. Ice cold Kona Long Board on tap. Delicious fresh kalua pulled pork sandwich made by chef Rico with fantastic service from Carolyn. Sent from my iPhone.

typical bar and grill type of restaurant. It was close to the American terminal and I had about an hour to kill. Sat at the table and had a tall glass of kona. T.V.s around restaurant if you want to catch a game. cannot comment on food since I only had a drink, however the service was attentive. Tad bit pricey, however that’s what you’d expect from most airport restaurants.

There are no prices on the wine menu. I ordered two Pinot Noirs by the glass and a Cabernet and my bill was $ 43!!! WTF??? We didn’t even eat anything!!! DONOTCOMEHERE! It’s sooo not worth it!

Was awaiting my flight out on a Saturday night(10pm flight) and this seemed to be the best choice close to my United gate. Had the kalua pork sandwich which was as tasty it sounded on the menu. Perhaps it was late hour on a weekend, but the service staff seemed to be a little overwhelmed by the number of customers(NOT a full house, btw. Only about 1⁄3 full). Which meant I had to forgo having a glass of Aberfeldy 12 or 21 year old single malt. As a scotch fan, it was cool discovery that Dewar’s has this other label. So minus 2 stars for the slow service that left me no time to try it(sorry, I’m not going to spend $ 20 just to down it in one gulp before dashing down to the gate).

A trap for those who are waiting for their delayed flights especially when the 2013 Finals game is on. Rachel the bar tender is great, half off of any shots after a certain time.

Airport food is, at best, a gamble. Very few airports have decent restaurants that manage to be even the slightest cut above your average Chili’s or T.G.I. McFunster’s. Sadly, Dewar’s falls into this category. Not only were the food and drinks overpriced($ 60 for two sandwiches with fries and two drinks), the whole affair was tragically mediocre. The menu on offer features mainly a wide range of sandwiches, burgers and salads. Nothing remarkable about them, really, but choices at Honolulu Airport are limited and we were hungry. Plus, we like Scotch, so we figured ‘why not start there’? Well we ordered two Dewar’s Manhattans which were OK, nothing special, and lacking a bit of balance. I had some kind of lime-marinated chicken on ciabatta with some roasted red peppers and a garlic aioli. My wife had a mahi-mahi sandwich. Both came with fries. If there’s an overarching theme at play at Dewar’s it’s the ritualistic under-seasoning of food. I mean, fries really good need a good salting right out of the fryer, while there is still a trace of oil on them so the seasoning sticks to it. Their’s, as far as I could tell, had none. And for all of the the flavor that might have been possible with our sandwiches, they required repeated salting to tasting like something. A shame really. The service was friendly and prompt enough, which is why they’re coming away with any points here at all. –Phrases of the evening: «This mahi died in vain.» — my wife «Why don’t you „Dew“ me a favor and put some seasoning on your food!» — my wife We’ll stick to Kona Brewing Company next time, I think.

Had the au jus. Mediocre. Small portions. The sandwich was OK, but nothing special. Not worth the price(even allowing for airport pricing). Service was pretty fast, though. Still, I think I would go to the fast food chicken place down the corridor before I came back here. Tries to look classy, but really it’s just a façade.

It’s true, this establishment is on the pricier side. But come on, people — it’s Dewars! Considering that it serves all signature drinks with double shots, and is in the airport(Alaska Airlines terminal) which is always expensive, I think it’s actually a reasonable place to go. That being said, I have not had any food here — just their signature drinks. I’ve tried their Dewars Smash which was, for lack of a better term, smashing, and a martini with dewars and blood orange syrup which was delicious. No, I didn’t have them both on the same day — I definitely would have been smashed and likely not allowed on the flight. Their signature drinks are $ 13 a piece, but like I said before, they all come with double shots and are really quality. In my opinion, this is the perfect place to have a pre-flight cocktail. Happy flying!

The food is OK. The service is painfully slow. That is inconvenient since you rarely have a lot of extra time by the time you check in and clear security. The food is OK. On this trip I just ordered the cheese fries. They are actually OK. Quicker service could make this a solid food option for an airport.

Hubby and I stopped in just before we had to board our flight back to California. The menu has just enough variety. If you are in a hurry, please dont eat here. Remember, you ARE in an airport. Its crowded and super busy. Expecting to get 5 star service is simply STUPID. Our server/waitress/hostess was very nice, friendly and way over worked. I think she was waiting/bussing at least 7 other tables alone. I ordered the bacon mushroom cheeseburger which was amazingly tasty. Fatty but tasty patty, good amount of cheese and mushroom ratio and served with fries. My hubby had the lemon chicken salad style sandwich with fries. All in all, big portions considering the above average airport prices and we both enjoyed our lunch.

This place is a lot better now than what it used to be. Looks pretty shnazzy too. Maybe it was their way of justifying the prices. :) Our server was a nice enough guy. And, as others have mentioned, he tried to upsell pretty aggressively. Why not? All you have to do is say no. Mama took him up on his offer to get a double vodka in a short glass with pineapple juice. After bringing the drink, she had second thoughts on having that much vodka in such as short glass. We saw the server come back and were just about to ask him for a tall glass when he placed one on the table, with ice and another small glass of pineapple juice saying«just in case you need it». THAT, ladies and germs is service! We ordered the wings and some salad with fries. The wings were actually pretty effing good. I mean, even for airport food it was exceptional. Mama was so-so with her salad. The fries were good though. Yes, it was expensive. And yes, the restaurant next door was probably cheaper. But, it’s an airport and this place has a bar. We’ll be back.

The service was great, but $ 15.00 for a mojito that’s highway robbery! They have a nice clean area and great service, but if you wan a drink, make sure to check their prices!
