I’ve been to this location twice, BOTH times I experienced horrible costumer service from MABEL (female Asian cashier). Over the phone I was informed that I could purchase more than one Wella EIMI stylist kit. So I drive down to pick up 4 sets of the kit. I tell MABEL I’m here to purchase the EIMI kits only to be told that they didn’t have enough product for even ONE kit! I explain to her that over the phone I was told other wise and immediately she looks at me like I’m dumb and starts talking to me like I’m dumb! The amount of attitude in her facial expression and tone of voice showed such POOR customer traits I was surprised she didn’t work in the back AWAY from customers. She then asks me in the same tone if I knew who I spoke to and I said no because they didn’t give me their name when I called. Mabel then looks at me and in the rudest tone of voice says «You don’t know who you spoke to?!» Did I not clarify the first time I told her whoever I spoke to didn’t give me a name or what she purposely trying to piss me off? The rest of the visit was still filled with attitude and sass. The other two ladies working that day were helpful and nice, Mabel could learn a few things from them. Long story short if you plan on going to this location and MABEL is working, be prepared for her attitude and lack of customer service skills. I now refuse to go to this location. If you can go to the Aiea location do it… they’re customer service is 10 times better.

I went in with a girlfriend to look at Nail polish colors and we came out with hair color, more bottles of nail color than intended and it’s all because of the friendly staff. We had a blast shopping for our hair and nail care items. Thank you to Deb for helping us.

I usually tag along with the wife when she comes here to shop. On 6÷6÷2015 we arrived on the day of a sale, unfortunately, the item we wanted was out. My wife flagged down a salesgirl named Yoko and asked if there were anymore of the item in stock. She replied that they were all out, but she would check with the Kaimuki store. The Kaimuki store was also out so Yoko went ahead and checked with the Halawa store. At this point, I was impressed that this woman was so diligent in trying to help out my wife. After Yoko hung up the phone she said that everyone was out of the product, but my wife could put her name on a long waiting list and she would call when it came in. My wife put her name on that list, but I told my wife that was just a way of appeasing us at the moment and that they are not going to call you. Yesterday the phone rings and It’s Yoko telling my wife that her product came in and she could come pick it up. I couldn’t believe it! I know it’s people doing their job, but Yoko restored my faith in customer service. Lately, poor customer service has been one of my pet peeves and now Yoko had made me forget all about that and really put a smile on our faces. We went and got her some napples as our token of our appreciation, unfortunately, she was on lunch break. My wife left the napples with a note thanking Yoko and we left. Later Yoko called my a wife to thank her. Keep up the great work Yoko! Maybe you can pass on your work ethic to your coworkers, some of whom need an attitude adjustment. Yoko, you rock!!!

I wish I could give 0 stars Asian girl that works there is beyond rude and has no customer service skills she gets annoyed if u ask her questions pertaining to items and rolls her eyes as if you are stupid. I had asked for a price check on 3 items do to the store being horrible and messy boxes every where in the middle of aisles and no prices on items or even if u flipped the plastic lables so while she was checking for the prices she rudely said «if u lift the lables up the prices are under it» (while turning her back at us and slamming it up with her fingers) I then had told her we did and there was no prices she rolled her eyes and huffed under her breath! I couldn’t believe how much of a bitch she was like if u really hate ur job u should just quit! I’ll never go here again as long as her people skills don’t change!

3 stars cause one of the girls wasn’t personable and should really work on her people skills. I had a question about hair dye and she wasn’t helpful in answering my questions, talked to me like I was stupid, then she just walked away. Someone teach her customer service skills please. Too bad, the other girls were nice enough what’s wrong with this one?

I wish i never had to go here EVER AGAIN. I wanted to order brushes ahead of time and they took down my name and number before the shipment came in saying they woukd call me and put them on the side for me. Thanks a lot for never calling me. I walked in today to see only 2 left on the shelf. So i asked the blonde girl who always gives attitude btw if they had them on the side. She claims i never put in my order and that there is no fault on their end??? I put in my order with yoko like a month ago. Doesnt even offer to order for me again. Just says «well there’s 2 here » and there might be more coming in next month.
So then i asked her about a cricket ultra smooth curling iron that i bought a few months back because it looks like they sold out of those too. I wanted to get a new one for my client. And she says «we never had those» even goes through the trouble to type some bullshit into her register saying ya we never had those in our system. THANK YOU FOR NOTHING. Then why do i have one. That i bought. From you.

Everyones awesome ! Yoko and the teams always down to run around and find yu things ! This place has one of the best prices and sales ! Very informative staff ! I remember b4 these new girls there were girls who was no help lazy and DID NOT know anything about color or anything ! &b4 them was this awesome guy with long sleek hair and he was the best ever ! Also gave out samples ^.^ but anyways im happy with the girls now :) so helpful with smiles all the time !

something good: this is the place i come to for most of my beauty supply needs for work~ they carry all the small things that are so important to my everyday work! i love the people who work here! they are so helpful and kind~ any questions i have about anything they are willing to help the best they can! their location is so convenient, i couldn’t live without them :) !!

The workers are nice — helpful. Great products

My go-​to spot for beauty supplies since I knew their chain well from Burbank. Unfortunately, they aren’t linked to the corporate computer (sometimes, even between their own stores in Hawaii, too) so they don’t offer the same membership benefits as they do on the mainland.
They do, however, still carry most of the major brands of hair and depilatory products on the island. I get their mailer with their specials which is really helpful to see all the newer lines that they’re releasing if you want to give them a try.
If you’re not already in the system or don’t have a license or school ID, you won’t get away with buying anything. Once you’re in their computer system, all you need to do is give them you’re name and they have your account information and tracking of your previous purchases.
Occasionally things they advertise won’t be in store, but they’re always happy to special order them and maintain the sale price for whatever you need. I enjoy that they always greet me and usually remember my name so the sale goes through quickly. I really couldn’t ask for much more.

I miss the old workers here. Now, they have a lot of younger kids that seem to turn over more often. There’s this one guy who’s pretty helpful though.
They are often out of the more popular items: Ego Head by Bed Head, Chi items, Matrix pair sales, etc. They’re a little better at keeping things in stock now (after 5 years) but there’s still some room for improvement. They started carrying a bigger line of nail items which I thought was interesting.
They also went through numerous store layout changes which drove me crazy. It seemed like every 3 months, they would have nothing else better to do and flip the layout of everything all the way around!
There’s 2 other whole sale beauty supply shops in this block too. They all specialize in different things though.
You need a license to shop here as well.
