Jon Mosher and Cherry Construction are awesome!
This guy is more than just your average licensed contractor, he’s also a professional Cabnet Maker and Woodworker! Hello Custom Cabinets yo!
But it’s more than that, the guy is also and inventor! You heard me right, this is the guy who invented the Puka Patch!.. So as you may have guessed he’s also a surfer. Common I know, but he’s one of the boys and you’ll see him out at all the local breaks.
But the real thing you want to know is the quality of the guys work, He’s just top notch! and he doesn’t take your job/​money and then string you along like every other contractor I’ve met. Nope, once this guy gets his team on the job, they go to work, and they get stuff done!
When I met Jon Mosher, I was remodeling my house (and doing a terrible job of it), and it was time for me to lay tile in my kitchen and I’ve never worked with grout before.
Well, John and I got to talking and out of nowhere this guy just straight up offers to help me! He said he’s got lots of experience doing stuff like that. I didn’t find out until later that the guy was a contractor!
Anyways, I’m like, sure you can come over and work at my house! The guy just offered to help me out because he knew I was in a tough place at that time, I had everything I needed… except experience and confidence… Well, enter Jon Mosher.
Jon comes over the next day to ‘help me’ lay the tile… uh. no… Dude shows up, takes charge and it was more like me helping him while he did a private workshop on how to lay tile.
But here’s the problem, the guy wouldn’t even accept payment since I gave him lunch and we had some friends in common.
Anyways, I was so stoked I recommended Jon to a friend of mine who owns several rental properties and Jon got lots of work for him. So I got to help him out to.
6 months later it we moved to a new location that needed to be completely gutted. This was a big job… I needed the best, I needed a pro and I needed it quick. This was a BIG job.
I knew Jon was busy with a lot of jobs, so I looked around, and all these companies were charging top dollar and still no one could help me anytime soon.
Cherry Construction to the rescue, Jon got on the job right away and put some of his best guys on it until he could show up and take charge next week. He saw it through start to finish and completed the job ON TIME and UNDER BUDGET!!!
Seriously!!! Who does that! if you’ve ever needed construction work done in Hawaii you know 2 things.
1. you’re waiting for ever to get the job started.
2. Whatever the estimate is at 50% on top of that, and add 3 months.
Since then, Cherry Construction has helped me out 2 more times when I had water damage. Both times it was the same M/​O. Great Quality work! Great Service and competitive prices.
I know Cherry Construction isn’t the cheapest company in town… but they’re dang sure the best!!! and the only reason you’ll think some of his competitors are cheaper is because they’re giving you a low bid and lo and behold by the time the job is done you’re paying a whole lot more than you were told.
Out of all the times Jon Mosher’s done work for me, (and there have been several) he only came in over budget one time!. .and it totally wasn’t his fault, we had water damage that couldn’t be seen until they started the demo AND the flooring company didn’t have the same flooring to match so he had to rip out ALL of the flooring (almost double the amount we thought). and even still they didn’t go that much over budget.
