The Barefoot Beach café is unreal! I could not believe our luck finding such a great place to eat. You can actually taste the food and it taste great. The staff are awesome and the view is great. We ate here every day for breakfast French toast with fruit. The dinner menu is great we ate most nights as well here. Try it you won’t be disappointed. A huge hi to the staff miss you guys.

Simple food, nice environment, and most importantly… away from the crowd. They serve their entire menu the entire day which i like because i get to order heavier food even for breakfast. I had the grilled chicken over rice and it was delicious. The food did take a little longer than i would expect, but it didn’t bother me.

I used to go here for breakfast everyday! Loved it! Loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Well, one of the girls that managed the place has left and since then Barefoot Beach Café has been going downhill. I can’t say anything about the cooking staff, they’ve always been great. It’s the people in the front who seem to be dragging it down. Rolling of the eyes and horribly screeching your name out just makes you want to ask for your money back. They act like they just don’t care about you, or how you’re treated, or even how your food comes out. No aloha what-so-ever. You’re just another customer. Gimme your money, here’s your food, goodbye, don’t care if you come back. No more ohana. Today, my wife had an acai bowl, they ran out of bananas. They pushed the bowl out the window with no bananas and no explanation for the absence of said bananas. How about, sorry we’re out of bananas, here’s some extra strawberries and blue berries to make up for it. Hope to see you tomorrow. Nope. Instead, they’re going to make you complain about it then add extra strawberries. No point in quality! Gimme your money, take what we give you, good bye, don’t care if you come back.(This might sound petty to some people out there but when they used to give such great service, then continuously degrade, it’s worth mentioning) Please return to the quality of service you had 6 months ago. And, please remove Sakara Blackwell’s(a.k.a. Dawn Sakaguchi) ads from Unilocal. She’s isn’t adding anything positive to the business.

Loved the fries loved the atmosphere. Eating areas like tables/floor areas could be kept a little bit cleaner & waiting time for food can get long on weekends

After visiting the Waikiki Aquarium, we stopped by to visit Barefoot Beach Café. We had the Kalua Pork and the Ahi Poke Bowl. The food took quite a long time given that this is more of a fast food place, or so I thought. The total wait for our order was over 35 minutes, which I would consider a long wait even for a proper restaurant. The Kalua Pork was acceptable, but the poke was honestly the worst poke I have ever had. It almost seemed like they just mixed some not so fresh raw ahi tuna with sesame oil and a little seaweed, put it on rice and called it poke. For the quality and the small portion size and long wait time, a 2-star rating is generous.

Good price for Waikiki. Nice spot on the beach. Great burgers. Breakfast omelettes and the loco moco are great too.

Great items on the menu, perfect spot for sunsets and live music. Located next to a beautiful park and far enough from hectic Waikiki.

This place honestly has to be one of my favorite places to eat in Waikiki. In the midst of the usually good, but always expensive places to eat in this area, sits a small café located right on the beach. The café is in Queens Beach Park, very close to the aquarium. Street parking almost always available every time we have been there. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. Their breakfast is awesome, and what could seriously be better than watching the sunrise over diamond head on the beach while eating bacon!!! Lunch options are very local: Kalua Pork, hawaiian BBQ chicken, fresh fish, and so much more. I’m super impressed with the Kalua pork sandwich here! Not once has there been a big chunk of fat in my sandwich(which usually makes me not want to eat it anymore). Great job on the pork guys! The guava BBQ that they serve this sandwich with is the bomb. Sunset dinners here are the best in Waikiki. Great food, Awesome view, Live music, Great Time!

Stopped in for lunch with my wife. Grabbed the fish & chips, crab cakes and a salad. Half of each dish was good. First, the crab cake. One cake was perfect. Tasty, moist and crunchy. Well balanced flavor. The second one was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Second, the salad was good. Simple greens. Only… there were two butt ends of Romain in the mix. Last, the fish & chips. Fish was great. Good flavor crunchy, all around pretty good. The chips on the other hand were dreadful. Soggy, limp tasted like they were cooked in old oil, a while ago. I had at least two fries that were cold. Not sure if im gonna come back.

The kalua pork plate is good but the view is spectacular. This place is a bit of a walk from Waikiki but the flavors are great and you don’t have to get into your car to find Hawaiian food. We loved the casual atmosphere. And the fact it is right on the queens surf beach is terrific. They serve their entire menu at breakfast so if you are not a bacon and eggs person and crave a loco Moco this is the place. The kalua pork plate includes very nice rice and a fresh salad too so you don’t have to feel absolutely horrible about the delicious flavorful and moist pork ;/)

Very casual place to go and relax by the beach. We didnt expect much when we got there because it was such a casual setting, but when we got our food to our surprise was way more than was tasty and delicious. We’ll be back.

If you are willing to walk a bit down the beach compared to where the main action of Waikiki is, this is a great spot for a snack or meal. The view is spectacular, and the prices seemed reasonable for the beach. I had the Queen’s Bagel, which had a tasty combination of ingredients, including tomatoes, onions, capers, and the pesto sauce. The bagel was fresh, too. The location was super quiet, maybe because of the time of the day. The place might be different at another hour. For us, it was great.

You’ll have many options to choose from at this beach café located at Queen’s Beach. They make an effort to keep the outside tables clean – most of which are in the shade which is nice if you want to get out of the sun. We had their Barefoot cheeseburgers and homemade fries. The fries are outstanding but I wasn’t 100% sold on the burger – I think that they mixed chopped onions into the patty. There are so many other things that you can choose from here and it’s a pretty cool and mellow spot.

Gorgeous view with covered outdoor seating. The cashier who takes your order is very friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered the shaved ice(strawberry and passion fruit) for $ 5. The ice was on the chunky side, but it was a nice treat to cool down with. I prefer the ice to be a lot smaller though. I’d come back if I was hanging out at the beach and too lazy to walk to Jamba Juice across the street.

I absolutely love this beach-side eatery. Right next to Queens Beach, this place is perfect for lunch between beach sessions or after a long day of surfing. The menu boasts fresh salads, ahi bowls, acai bowls, and classic plate lunches like kalua pork and cabbage, hamburger steak, furikake ahi, garlic shrimp and Hawaiian bbq chicken. They also have hot dogs and burgers, fries and the like. I haven’t tried breakfast here, but the menu looks awesome! The food and presentation is the best part — every plate is put together nicely and complemented with a pretty purple orchid. Portions are generous and I feel like the food is sincerely prepared with care and pride in their product. I highly recommend the garlic shrimp(my favorite) and kalua pork and cabbage. Very yummy and served with two scoops rice and fresh green salad. My only complaints would be that they don’t have Pepsi products or fountain drinks. The employees are friendly but seem to be a bit overwhelmed when it gets busy.

Now I rarely give such a low star rating, but sadly this place truly deserves just two. I came here on a slow afternoon/evening and was greeted by a female cashier who appeared enthusiastic at first, but after my asking to clarify a menu item, quickly turned sour and my transaction was completed without so much as a thank you. After I finished ordering and stepped to the side, I saw another man return a platter to the same lady and the platter was basically snatched out of his hands without any thank you or the like, either. Service aside; menu items were overpriced, but honestly what did I expect of a café located on the beach. I could usually excuse this if the food was at least *kind of* good, but the fries were burnt and chicken tenders were nothing worth getting excited for. Our order also took longer than I’d expect of such a small order. Overall, if you’re absolutely starving while on this side of Waikiki this might be a good last resort, but if you value your ordering and dining experience I’d recommend other options nearby.

I was invited back to Barefoot Beach Café and had a chance to try the same breakfast I had a month ago. Barefoot Beach Café has a new Co-Executive Chef and I’m pleased to say this go around was better than my first. The salmon in the Fish of the Day Benedict was fresh, I was told the salmon had been delivered an hour before. The hollandaise was silky, not broken. The only issue was the eggs were hard poached, which broke my heart because the yolks didn’t run and add to the sauce. I would specifically ask for lightly poached eggs to make sure yours is runny. The Meat Lovers Omelet wasn’t over-cooked and had a nice flavor combo with the meats. The King’s Bagel was the same, a toasted bagel, a few slices of lox, onion, capers, and cream cheese. Come on a nice day and enjoy dinning al fresco and the ocean view.

This is a very cool spot for those looking for a casual experience during a beech going day. Walk right up from the beech and place your order. No shirt, no shoes, no problem. My only problem with this place is that their computer defaults to 15% gratuity. You’ll need to bring your own food to your table and clean it yourself. You’ll bus your table at the conclusion of your meal and you won’t get very friendly service from behind the register. So that 15% seems a little presumptuous to me. I ordered the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. It was covered in their own pineapple salsa too. It was a fresh, delicious alternative to a lot of the fried food places you’ll find along Waikiki.
