Ariel Catalan, DDS

Playing trivia with my mom’s dentist is not my idea of fun, but my mom always wants my insight when she visits Dr. Catalan. Ariel Catalan and staff are consistently patient with my game of 20 questions and are very professional and friendly. As a former patient of Dr. Catalan, I know first hand how thorough and fast his service is. His prices are also reasonable. His office is small, but filled with the important equipment for cleaning (Yay!), drilling (Boo…), x-​rays (Ooh!), and more.
Dr. Catalan’s office is located on the 9^th floor of the Ala Moana Building. Parking is usually not too bad. To get to the parking, you can drive up the ramp at the end of Keeaumoku Street, make your first right, and follow the pathway to the security podium. The security should direct you to park on the next level unless the parking is full. If the parking is full, then parking in the mall is okay.

I chose Dr. Ariel Catalan because he was on the approved list of dentists for my insurance plan, I liked his name and the location is convenient. Admittedly, not the best reasons, but I am so pleased that I landed in the office of Dr. Catalan. His manner is affable; pleasant and soothing. I think he is a dental artist. A master of his chosen profession. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The office ambiance is comfortable and pleasing. I recently had a crown pop off. Dr. Catalan was able to save the tooth, clean and re-​cement it in place. It feels like the best tooth in my mouth! All that and very cost efficient. The charge was reasonable and saving the crown saved me $ 800!!! Thank you Dr. Catalan and staff.

Dr. Catalan and his team is awesome. He’s been my Dentist for years now thanks to my mother who also went to him. I get my bi-​annual checkups/​cleanings over here. The office is super conveniently located inside the medical performing arts building right next to Ala Moana Center. The building actually seems like it is a part of Ala Moana. If you are driving you can either park around the building or the mall. They keep track of your appointments and they are always on it as far has scheduling and letting you know of you appointments beforehand. It’s a small office but it’s still great. All of the staff and Dental assistants are all awesome. Everytime I come in it feels like family and everyone is super nice and friendly. As far as having the dental work done, they do a mighty fine job. They always check up on you if you are Ok and stuff. It always feels good to receive a little Dentist goodie bag after a routine cleanup. They accept almost all forms of insurance and also take card for payments and such. They also give a dental goodie bag after every checkup/​cleaning. Das my Dentist.

Recommended by co-​worker and definitely a really good dental experience. My cousins have been in the dental field for over 40 years and I hated to try a different place but my cousins are on the mainland and do not do house calls.
