From the minute my husband walked in there was no service for being empty on a Friday night to even get a drink. Then he was trying to play pool and was told by the hostess with attitude that he couldn’t do that. He ended up in a small room sweating profusely because he asked them to turn on the a/c for about an hour. I walked in after about an hour since he was there and my friends had a hard time finding the dungeon. I went to the bar to buy us a drink and I get a screwdriver. I had just eaten dinner and had one drink. So I wanted to have fun. I have a sip and I almost vomit from the acidity. So I call her over and tell her that the orange juice is not good. She goes and tastes it and then gets me a fresh drink. Then we go in the pool room and the six of us and it is still so hot from lack of AC. Finally hostess comes in and demands that I close my tab with bartender and switch to her. The DJ is playing so its a little hard to hear. She asks me what her name is? I don’t know her name I said. Then she says what is my name. Then I tell her to get me a drink and I Will switch my tab to her. At this point I have waited for about a half an hour. Then instead of arguing I had gone to bar and server was there. I said please get me a drink. I went to bathroom. I did not get a drink. So I tapped her at the bar and said I Would like my drink. She said I was supposed to order my drink. Instead of arguing I said I forgot. Go back to pool room and the host at door comes over and tells him that I am cut off and he has to order for me. I am furious I tell him that I want to speak to the manager. I explain that I have had two drinks and what in gods name why you would refuse service to me and that I have never given that hostess and or bartender one reason to believe that I am highly intoxicated from 2 drinks. Now it is about 11 pm. It is early. The place is dead. I have been coming there since it was the BISTRO. Obviously new ownership and management has this attitude that they are judge jury and executioner. And the small minded staff are making poor decisions by either serving minors liquor or cutting people off when they are not intoxicated. I explained to the manger how ridiculous this is. And he clearly states that I am not intoxicated. But then fails to apologize and clearly doesn’t have any experience in hospitality. I explained to him how angry I am at the situation. I am a business owner and if any of my employees treated one of my customers how I was treated last night, I would have disciplined them and schooled them how to act appropriately to the situation. I would have then been apologetic and offered services to compensate for the inconvenience. If you are in the service industry, you have to learn to be more cordial and definitely be more hospitable. The staff is extremely incompetent and this place should shut down. This is not the first time since the change of ownership that the place has gone downhill. Good luck to those who enter! Enter at your own risk!

It’s really quite a shame that Apartment 3 is closed. Now where will I go to have clandestine drinks with spies and a sexy rendezvous with a Saudi Prince? Alas, I suppose a dark, sexy bar in an inconspicuous apartment building for which you have to navigate a parking garage and a dank elevator to arrive at wasn’t exactly predestined for perennial success. But that fire place… and those booths… and that sleek, dark interior… le sigh.

I never like to lower my rating on a restaurant, but Apartment 3 is in or has been in a transition which surprised me. I loved this place for the gourmet comfort food, and it honestly became one of my night date locations. With the exodus of the chef, it seems the current chefs can’t sustain the same recipes, and the menu was cut drastically. What is left is a bare-bones remnant, many of the favorites have disappeared, and new items have appeared as basics to any tapas restaurant. Bacon Wrapped Figs– 4-stars– You can’t go wrong with this, unless it’s prepared wrong. Here, they make it right. Bacon is flavored with brown sugar, and wrapped around stuffed figs. Stuffed with what? Blue cheese. Simple and new to the menu. BLT Pizza– 5-stars– Gone with the Green Greek and a few other pizzas. This is one addition I had to try. I was honestly surprised with the depth of flavor, the explosion which went on in my mouth. Arugula remains one of my favorite flavors to add to any dish, and here it replaces the Lettuce. Bacon and tomato make an entrance here as well. The bacon marries well with the creamy, sweet sauce lining this pizza. The tomatoes, halved, add an explosion of flavor as you bite into them. A delightful experience. Fries with Truffle Oil– 4.5-stars– Definitely a gourmet comfort food, simple and clear. The fries are delicious and crispy. My advice, take a bite and breathe in deeply – then you get the essence of truffle oil as it passes through your senses and covers your entire palette. This is a worthy experience as long as the dish is still warm. Truffles, one flavor which can melt me like butter on a summer’s day. If nothing else, at least get this. Atmosphere– Still the same unique, dark, relaxing set-up as always. The walls are still flocked with velvet. You have the pussy cat and the rooster, the billiards room with scripted, mirrored walls. They were playing Fifth Element, which honestly, I went to buy after because it was such a classic, I was ashamed not to have it in my personal collection. Service– Very attentive, perhaps too attentive for my date. We held hands, but felt a little embarrassed being seen. Yet, the closer it came to opening as a lounge-club, the wait-staff became more distracted, so I don’t know if the place is too big or not enough people were working. Still, if you need your alcohol, there is a bar and bartender eager to serve. Conclusion– I did order a spicy drink, which was very spicy and hit the spot for me. I’ve been searching for specialty drinks using a variety of habanero, Tabasco, and anything else to add hotness to my drinks. Yes, something else to melt me. I am disappointed with the more limited, usual menu, but the place remains a cool place to go, even if the crowds have changed. Go here for the experience, you won’t find many places in Hawaii like it. Yet, I suspect Hawaii senses this and is building answers and competition. We have to see.

This dark, sexy bar with good cocktails is a great place to take someone if you would like to: A. Buy them a toy dinosaur. B. Sleep with them. C. Teach them necromancy. D. Build a hot rod out of popsicle sticks. I know this is a tough one. Think about it and submit your answer after class. Any cocktail with mostly fruit flavors is probably good. Any cocktail that’s more coffee liqueur based is probably not as good.

6÷6÷12 *SADLYTHISPLACEHASNOWCLOSED… WHY…WHOKNOWS. Apartment 3 is one of my favorite 30 something lounges to go to… it’s a mature lounge so you don’t have to deal with the drunks and loud younger crowd. It’s also right outside Waikiki on the edge between Honolulu and Waikiki across from the Hawaiian Convention Center at the Century Center on the 3rd floor so it’s not that crazy. Parking is limited in the garage and many just valet. Really the only complaint I have about Apartment 3, but lets be honest… Parking is hard at many locations in town… I personally park at the old Hard Rock across the street and walk, but hey… I never told you to do that… lol. The décor is killer here as well as the ambience and music. I love the people here, the staff and the food. Apartment 3 is a very comfortable place to spend the evening with fireplace and all… It’s like having a party in your own living room… Like you live here, but more people showed up at your house then you expected and some you don’t even know… When we have a celebration for friends or family, a birthday or going away party we have it here at Apartment 3. I really can’t talk this place up enough. I just have memorable experiences every time we come here. I do find the menu to be over priced, but if you select the right items that are worth the price in taste and quality you won’t have any complaints. The menu is hit and miss. When at a lounge like this there are going to be items on the menu that are done right and some that are just not. Over all if you choose wisely and mix and match correctly you will have great wine, great food and great conversation with your group surrounded by a great ambience and music to boot. PLEASENOTE… This NOT A RESTAURANT… If you plan on eating dinner here… DON’T. This is a lounge for pupu’s to match up with your beer and wine selection so watch what you order… I have tried everything on the menu and it took some time to get items that are fail proof so your safe menu items are below: CHEESE and HONEY HUMMUS and PITA THEGREENGREEK, THEPICKLEDPEPPER or THEPARMAPIZZA STACKEDRATATOUILLE MINISAMMIES As for the 4&5 star reviews there are pretty dead on, but naturally we have some erratic reviews giving Apartment 3 some less then deserved 1 or 2 star reviews. Some even through no fault of their own. There are 195 reviews on Apartment 3 and overall this is a 4 Star establishment, but I am very surprised to see so many 1 and 2 star reviews all taking place in 2011… It’s pretty clear 2011 has not been a good year for Apartment 3, but I’m not going to break down all 20 bad reviews Apartment 3 received, but I will expand on a few issues people seem to have here… There seems to be two major concerns with the 1&2 star reviws, the website OPENTABLE that takes reservations and the acceptance of GROUPONS… If reservation made through«OPENTABLE» didn’t get to Apartment 3, however unfortunate this might have been, is no reason to give a bad review to Apartment 3, perhaps it should be taken up with Open Table. People need to be a little more understanding, but also more accountable for their words… To those who have been upset with Apartment 3’s dress code and wasn’t accepted in with slippahs or shorts… There’s a dress code people… You can’t write a bad review because this business establishment has rules or a code… Also if you don’t like the«TYPE» of 30 – 40 something crowd here it’s not their problem… it’s yours… don’t crap on the Establishment and give a bad review because it’s not your type of crowd. When I go here I have fun, enjoy the beer, wine and food I order and have a great time with the company I am with… I have no reason to lie or say others wise and if I have ever had a bad experience here I WOULDLETYOUKNOW about it… I have been here 10 plus times and never given this place a strike on my 3 strike rule… The only issue I had was picking and choosing Menu items that fit perfectly with my beer and wine selection and had been consistent. Above I mention the menu items I stick to when I go here and I never have an issue with them. I will continue to come here and spend my money enjoying this retro establishment. It’s one of my favorite and nothing up till this point has changed that for me.

I LOVEAPARTM3NT. This place is a really nice place to chill and eat. They have really good food. The staff that work here are really nice and accommodating. I ate 3 different pizza’s and hummus and yummmmmmmy I would totally go back to eat here again. The only thing that I did not like was the crappy parking.

Love this place! Great venue for lounging with friends or having a party. I’ve done both, most recently had a birthday party with friends and had a great time. They have a killer happy hour, delicious drinks, friendly staff, and a cool, upscale feel without being overly pretentious. Music lends itself to the great vibe without being so overpowering you had to scream to talk. Happy hour specials are a steal. Can’t go wrong with the pizzas. Shared the mushroom and the Carnivore pizzas and fries with friends… if you like thin, crispy crust you must try it! They have a number of events, check out their twitter or FB to keep up with the latest happenings.

I basically like Apartment 3, but it is a little too pretentious for its own good. I stopped by their 2-year anniversary party a few weeks ago, and it was kind of sad and pretty empty. The white party several months back was absolutely deserted. Contrast this with last fall’s ridiculously packed black party, when Flash gleefully tweeted about how he refused entrance to Reggie Miller for not being dressed all in black(there’s that pretentiousness), and I think it’s safe to say that Apartment 3 has definitely fallen from its days as a hot spot to see and be seen. I recently ventured to Apartment 3 for dinner on a Saturday night. The hostess asked if I had made reservations. When I said no, she said she’d try to slide us in somewhere. Given that there were two tables occupied, I didn’t feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. The service was good, maybe a little too good, as we seemed to have two folks waiting on us. The food was okay — not amazing but fine. As Juliann C. noted in her review, Apartment 3 is showing signs of wear and tear, esp. in the bathrooms. Also, as mentioned in countless reviews, parking here is a real PITA. I do enjoy the atmosphere here, except when they insist on having the fireplace going on a crowded night. It’s a dark, cozy, and intimate space. Drinks are well poured, and the bartenders are friendly. Given the uncertainty going on at the Edition, Apartment 3MIGHT win some of its old crowd back. However, unless I hear differently, I’ll keep it reserved as a place for post-work drinks and dates.

I’ve always had good experiences at Apartment 3 — but they are just going down… The Good: * OFCOURSE — the atmosphere, the décor. Beautiful. Sexy. Intimate. Classy. I love it. A small hidden place where you can get all beautified and dressed up and have a classy drink ;-) * Private parking lot * Location — right in town! * Pizza was good * Our server — she was awesome! Very cute, knowledgable, and energetic. The Bad: * The Food. Yeah. The Food. Don’t ever order their fricken $ 17 Mac N’ Cheese. It’s worst than the kine Safeway brand Mac N’ Cheese. It was so. SO. SO. Bland. I was extremely sad. It was watery like it was Mac N’ Cheese soup — as so Tyler put it. * The Food: The gourmet tatter-tots were not all that great, it was like a croquette ball. * The Food: Sadly, the only thing that was good was pizza and the garlic fries. I mean, who screws up garlic fries? * Since the food is less than mediocre — the prices are f**king ridiculous for what you get. The Weird: * Although I stated that the atmosphere is like a 10! … since I was there recently… everything seems to be falling apart. The PUSSY(cat) that was on the women’s bathroom fell off the door. so its no longer there. The COCK(rooster) for the men’s bathroom is almost falling apart — I would say HALFTHECOCK is missing. The bathroom toilet SENSOR is broken, its like TORN off. It just seems like Apartment 3 does not put much money into maintenance. They definitely SHOULD since Apartment 3 is known for it’s upscale, classy atmosphere. Apartment 3, please back up your highly priced foods for what it tastes. And don’t be so chang to maintain your beautiful interior design. You wouldn’t want to lose your upscale & classy reputation over something like this.

«Swag-ish» is how I would describe Apartment 3. It is a pretty trendy place for Hawaii, but yet there is still something off about it that I can’t put my finger on. It has great lighting, lots of tables, and also enough room if you wanted to get your dance on. However, it was also a bit weird that they had a bunch of flat screen tvs playing a DVD of some Dracula movie and then they put on Rocky Horror Picture Show, so that was just interesting. But yeah, this review is only based on their bar/club experience as I didn’t have the food as I heard the pizza is really good and hopefully I get to try it the next time. We were able to get the back room where there are three dart boards and a small billiards table. Now, I don’t understand the point of having the billiards table because a) Is it really worth getting a small billiards table in the first place? b) The room is way too small where we had to unscrew half of the cue in order to shoot c) I would rather have had another table and chairs or just a «cooler» dance area haha. We were told that there was no cover as long as we got there before nine($ 5 after nine). Like most times in Hawaii we didn’t get there until about 915, but they did not charge us cover which I thought was nice especially since we had a huge group(maybe that’s why no cover?) So for me, my main gripe was that on Saturday they had a drink special of $ 5 goose shots. This got me quite excited as recently Vodka Tonics have been my drink of choice, however, it was probably the worst Vodka Tonic I’ve ever had. It tasted really watered down as if they put tonic water and a splash of vodka into the drink. I seriously wanted to return the drink(what is the«rule» on that? Is that«allowed»? Am I allowed to do that like its undercooked food? Would I have to ensure that the bartender doesn’t do something unholy to my new drink afterwards?) Now, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results… well after ordering a whiskey soda, I thought, eh, why not, maybe it was just a fluke… Absolutely wrong as it tasted just as horrible as the first! Haha. So ya don’t order Vodka Tonics here. Would I go back? Yeah, I mean it’s a pretty nice place to chill. Went here on a Saturday night for a friend’s birthday and I was surprised by how empty it was. I had been here a few times before and the place was packed, but on this night there were many tables to hang out at. I’m not complaining, as I like the low key vibe, but I guess it’s not the«hotspot» as it once was. The reason it doesn’t get higher stars from is that you have to pay for parking(parking is very limited with only a few stalls that are not reserved, it is usually just easier to valet for $ 4), you have to go early at nine to avoid the $ 5 cover, and I’m still salty about the vodka tonics haha.

This place is decent. It’s probably one of the nicer/classier places to go in Hawaii to cruise. However, the dishes are way too pricey for the quality/size of food. I would only come back here during happy hour for the drinks. If I remember correctly, Tuesdays are happy hour all day with $ 5 cocktails and $ 4 draft beers, burrrrrp! The only thing this place is missing is a DJ/dance flooorrrrr. The one item on the menu I really enjoyed was the Green Tea Cheesecake. YES, green tea cheesecake, you read it correct =)

MUNCH: Southern Dining Pairing at Apartment3 I spent most of yesterday trying to calculate & transfer numbers from a spreadsheet into a document; by the time I finished work, my mind was mentally exhausted. After a long day of work, I was really looking forward to the mouth-watering menu for Southern MUNCH, a gourmet dining experience which is held on the last Thursday of every month at Apartment3. MUNCH was the perfect way to end my evening & a fantastic way to become educated about the ingredients & the process involved in creating each course. Also an experienced mixologist informs guests why each cocktail complements every dish.(Personally, I don’t know how the cocktail complements each dish, since I only drink Red Bull :) Each of the courses(with the exception of the salad) was able to stand on their own. The second course: Hearty Seafood Gumbo, had the right amount of spice & could’ve easily been paired with a side of rice. The third course: Pork Ribs, Fried Chicken, Kale Greens & Corn Bread, had so many delicious elements that I wanted to devour the entire plate, so I could enjoy everything at once. By the time dessert arrived, I could feel my jeans getting tighter, but I sacrificed temporary discomfort of an already full stomach for something sweet. If you want to indulge your senses & learn something new; Apartment3’s MUNCH is the dining experience you’re looking for.

Hip, chic, hot, tantalizing, magnificent and fashionable are the words that I use to sum up the food, décor, and service at Apartm3nt. My hubby and I ate on a Wednesday night. The happy hour specials were $ 5 pizza and $ 5 martini: D Food: PIZZA I would’ve eaten it all by myself but I love my husband! The Carnivore(Usually $ 12) This pizza is utterly seller in my book. It’s thin crust, topped with spiced ground beef, house cured bressaola, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese and marinara. The Parma(Usually $ 12) Great for salad lovers and oozing with flavor. This thin crust pizza is topped with sweet Maui onion, prosciutto, mozzarella, and MA’O arugula tossed in white balsamic vinegar. The arugula the aromatic salad green was great on this pizza.
MINISAMMIE’S Served on house buns with pickled cucumbers. You could purchase them individually for $ 4 or 3 for $ 11, I chose 3. *Falafel with Tzatziki and Cucumber. *Philly Cheese Steak with Peppers, Onions, and Cheddar. My favorite out of the three, but I liked them all. *Ko Chu Jong Braised with Slaw. DESSERT Deconstructed Apple Pie It came out warm, topped with vanilla ice cream, and with a hint of cinnamon. It was delicious!
MARTINI I actually wanted a blended mudslide, however they didn’t have a blender. The server suggested to get a martini since it was only $ 5 Espresso Self(Usually $ 8) It was too potent for me. The ingredients are Illy Dark Roast, Stoli Vanil, hazelnut and chocolate with cream. Service: 5 stars Rakita was awesome. She was patient and informative. Despite the crowd(it was a Unilocal Elite event) she made sure we were taken care of. Ambiance: That night the music was pumping. It was crowded, yet we managed to find an area more secluded. The décor is hip and trendy. You’ll see a couple artfully plastered nudity around the restaurant. There are pool tables in another room. Parking: You can choose valet parking or park your car yourself in on of the guest parking. There is also street parking. I would suggest car pooling with your friends. I would check out the website to see what’s going on that night. Some nights they have a DJ, or a show, event, etc. If you want to eat in peace and quiet I would suggest coming earlier and getting the happy hour specials. This is a great place to go on a date, party with friends, bring someone from out of town, or just to enjoy the happy hour.

Food: Ultimate Macaroni and Cheese($ 17 but listed as $ 15 on the website. Grafton 2 year aged white cheddar, snow crab, and house made chorizo sausage.) Big Island Beef Burger($ 13 but listed as $ 12 on the website. House made pancetta, cave aged gruyère cheese, and harissa aioli on our house bun. Served with your choice of hand cut fries or MA‘O Farms salad.) Drinks: Chip’s Rufitini($ 10 but listed as $ 8 online) Patron, limes, organic agave, fresh squeezed grapefruit $ 17 for mac’n’cheese seems reasonable when you’re throwing in crab right? Well, this one wasn’t. This mac’n’cheese wasn’t ultimate. I feel like a box of velveeta would of blown this one away. Yes it was very, very cheesy but that’s all it had going for it. Cheese. And even the cheese didn’t blow me away, neither did the homemade chorizo. I just felt like this dish was unfinished. It could of used more pepper? Maybe some bread crumbs and thrown under a broiler for a few mins to add some texture? I dunno? Something. The burger was pretty good and the cave aged gruyère was a nice touch. The fries, delicious. Sriracha ketchup? Ehh, just hot sauce on fries. The one specialty cocktail I tried was decent too. Ambiance & Décor: Empty, the music was too f’in loud especially since it was empty. The house music was making my ears bleed, thank god they started playing hip hop. Beautifully decorated in a boudoir themed speakeasy type of place. Could be romantic if the lowered the music down a little bit. The bathrooms, amazing. Movies playing in the background, pool table, full bar. Other useful info: Validated $ 1 parking. This place is hard to find so I’m assuming it’s more of a locals bar/restaurant.

We came on a Saturday night for a co-worker’s birthday party. Needless to say, we left hungry and slightly disappointed(food-wise), and not to mention half deaf. Maybe the cook was having an off night, but everything we ordered was unseasoned. Really, really unseasoned. My husband ordered the«ribeye»: it was cooked medium rare, but the meat was so tough and needed salt, pepper, and the holy spirit to revive its taste. Even that didn’t help it. My husband loves steak, but he couldn’t even muster up the appetite to finish it. I ordered the cheese and fruit appetizer and a pizza. The cheese app came with 3 different cheeses and accompaniments of fruit, bread, and nuts. The only saving grace with the food was the pizza(thank goodness). I got the«parma», which was proscuitto and some sort of red sauce, topped with arugula. I did enjoy that the bitterness of the arugula cut the richness of the proscuitto. The crust was very good too; nice and crispy… not heavy. Although their menu was small, the prices were not too bad. On the upside, our drinks were constantly refilled, and someone was always at our table to check on us. Although everyone else’s food on that table was«eh.», at least what the birthday gal ordered was tasty. The dj spinning that night was freakin’ awesome though… i must have seen people bursting into song and mad dancing several times throughout the night, which was hilarious for us to watch. I would say that the atmosphere is closest to a high end strip club… without the strippers, lol. The only things that we will be back for: the music, the happy hour, and definitely, definitely the pizza.

Having recently turned 21, I was trying to find new places to go to get my drank on. Ginza and Ka are too crowded for my liking unless I really feel like seeing half the island there. Apartm3nt happy hour came up on the list so I decided to check it out. Tuesdays are happy hour all day– $ 5 specialty cocktails, $ 5, premium cocktails, $ 4 draft beers, super good! I LOVETHISPLACE. It’s definitely a more«classy» lounge sort of establishment. Yes, it’s kinda weird because it’s in the century center, which is a residential/business apartment, but they have the entire 3rd floor. You have to go up the elevators as if you are going to one of the residential rooms. Parking is $ 1 with validation. Décor is simple, with sexual works of «art» on the walls. Lol hope you’re not disturbed by buttcheeks and naked women. It’s darkened, with a bar, lots of chairs and tables. It’s cool because it winds around– I didn’t know how big the place was until I came back another time because there are a lot of sides. There’s a mini dance floor and pool table area. Both times I went it was decently crowded. enough so that I had to say«excuse me» on my way to the bathroom, but not that I was bumping up against ppl or facing claustraphobia. I would guess the crowd consisted of recently graduated college students, mid 20’s ppl, etc. The music ranges from 60s-top 40. LOL whatta mix. Bathrooms are small but clean. Now for the good part, IDK what people say, THEIRDRINKSARESOGOOD. My guy friends just order their $ 4 «dead guys» and they are happy. The specialty cocktails are $ 5(normally $ 8) and are pretty big! The DRAGONBERRYCIPROSKA is my fav. Also the SAPPHIREBOMBAY is pretty bomb too. They use real fruit in their drinks! The dragonberry had some pulp in it and the sapphire had some lilikoi seeds. YUMMY! The first time I went, it was kinda watered down,(so I’m minusing a star) but the most recent time, it definitely tasted stronger. I had 3 drinks and I was gooood for the night. I guess it depends on the bartender? I wouldn’t order the coffee drink. I forgot what it’s called, but it’s way too sweet. I guess I’m more a fruity person though… Also my friend got«the smash» which would’ve been good… if I liked whisky and bitters. DOH. Service was decent. You can be served at a table or just go directly to the bar. I think the girl waitresses are better, but the boy bartenders are better. We had a waiter and he was okay but really slow. The waitress we had gave us good recommendations and kept checking up on us. I want to try their pizzas since that seems to be the buzz. May have to check out one of their themed events!

Apartment 3 is an interesting upscale/chic lounge. Had a hard time finding the place as it tucked away on the 3rd floor of the Century Plaza with no real signs to point you in the right direction. We went on a «Sugar and Spice» night where there were burlesque dancers around the place. $ 10 cover charge! Quite expensive for such a small venue, plus I was just visiting a birthday group for less than 20 minutes! Décor is modern. Clean lines and with curves. Lots of small niches of space for groups to take over. Bartender was also great. Couldn’t decide on a drink so she asked a few questions and ended up making a Watermelon Jollyrancher drink for me. Quite sour, but it was not a bad drink. The crowd is not one I would feel very comfortable with, so I probably won’t be back if unless invited for a specific event.

Apartm3nt saved my life. No, seriously. They did. Labor Day 2010. I was at thee most amazing labor day pool party EVER. thrown by [CWSK] at the Marriot Waikiki. God that was so fun. I survived on a diet of Bacardi Torched Cherry + tequila shots up until the moment I walked up to the bar at Apartm3nt and devoured an entire pizza to myself later that night at the«coolest-pool-party-ever-so-let’s keep-it-goin’-at-Apartm3nt-party.» After eating the first actual meal of my day, back came the superhuman party powers and I went and danced my(glittered) face off to [NSK]‘s Bootylicious set after set of booty pop inspiration. Don’t come here unless you love great music, energy, vibe, witty restroom doors, drinks, glittery makeovers, food & most of all. kick ass PEOPLE. I’ve been here a few times for the lounge scene and for the happy hour dinner specials. LOCATION Being that it is located on floor three of the Century Plaza, a residential building, the location of this lounge/restaurant is a bit confusing. The building itself has two elevators: the parking elevator and the residential elevators. Furthermore, the residential elevators are split in half, one which goes from floors 4 and higher and the other half goes from floors 1 to 4. If you don’t pay attention, you can easily get lost and frustrated at which half of the elevator hallway to get into. Parking at Century plaza is very confusing as well. You are only allowed to park at «guest stalls», which is fine. However, «guest stalls» are marked at random along with«reserved» residential stalls. A very careful eye is needed to track down an open guest stall. With validation, the cost is $ 1. The option to valet your car is also available. But valet parking has gotten full 2x when I’ve been here for the lounge part of the evening. The only available option was to street park around the corner or in the dark empty lot across the street for a small fee. DECOR The décor of this place is very, very nice. It looks very upscale and has a very nice Hollywood feeling to it. A couple of LCDTV screens are placed inside playing either music videos or movies, depending on when you are here. It has a completely different look inside, very trendy, then what you would expect when you look at its location from the outside, a bit run-down. If you’re here to have a good time, the parking situation could get you frustrated and ruin your evening before you even step foot in the confusing elevator system. The bathrooms are a bit small but were very well detailed. It looks like quite a bit of money and architectural time was spent to decorate these rooms. FOOD I was not impressed with the Happy hour food specials. –$ 5 mini thin crust pizzas with very little toppings didn’t do my tummy any damage. Very over-priced for the portion sizes. Also, I think Pizza Hut has a bitter thin crust pizza on their menu. –Ordered their salad special that night. Thought it was much overloaded with balsamic vinegar. –Bucket of french fries with a little rooster hot sauce in the ketchup. I give props for the cute idea, but really, nothing special about the fries or the ketchup. SERVICE –For happy hour — is top notch! I felt that our waitress was completely on it. Furthermore, her enthusiasm and patience for our large table was very helpful. –For the lounge — I’m not so sure about service during lounge times. It might be due to tons of people in the lounge which makes it difficult to completely service anyone and give anyone your complete attention. LOUNGESCENE The late part of the evening is the lounge scene — could definitely be better… –It’s always been very, very packed of all the times I’ve been here. –Bar service is very slow. It usually takes about 15 minutes before I am serviced at the bar and another 10 minutes for the bartender to make my drinks. Overall, Apt 3 is decent. Props on the décor, the atmosphere and awesome waitress service. Minus points on the food and bar service.
