They have a large selection of rolls and maki. They also have frozen yogurt and American food to contrast with the Japanese sushi. Recommend: Anything with spicy ahi, Choi’s Maki, Spicy ahi tempura, Kiss of fire Some items are overpriced and not exactly spicy ahi, only ahi with spicy sauce on top, so be sure to look closely otherwise you’ll get something you didn’t expect.

I had to give this place 2 stars for their excellent service, but when it came to the food, it wasn’t that great. First of all fillings were so tiny that I didn’t really taste any of them. I got the rock and roll maki, and it comes with tempura and crab fillings with a squid on top. The shrimp was very tiny and very greasy. I literally tasted the oil, I think they used old oil. So because of the fillings being so small, there was just too much rice overwhelming the fillings.

Nope just didn’t impress me at all and serving size was small for $ 7.49 poke bowl. Only upside was brown rice was offered but for a whopping .50! That’s a lot considering. I work nearby and most establishments in the area offer 10%off but not this place. Better than kozo but still just meh.

Cleanest, nicest Aloha Sushi I’ve ever been to! Service is a little slow, but it’s just an older lady and a relative running the store together, so I’ll cut them some slack. Must get is the CRUNCHDONBURI. Spicy ahi topped with a crunchy seafood patty doused in spicy, unagi, and mayo sauces. AMAZING.

I just got a dessert drink from Bambu right next door and decided to add some sushi to the list of things I’d devour for my afternoon meal. The service was okay for a grab-and-go sushi joint. The interior is basically the same as any other Aloha Sushi so there’s not much to comment about there. The commenting starts with the quality of the food… mediocre at best. I ordered a combination sushi bento, a spicy tuna maki plate that comes with six pieces, and a california roll plate that comes with six pieces. The rice was just so dry and I had to constantly rehydrate my mouth to finish the rest of my food. The fish tasted fresh and I didn’t get sick from it(compared to other sushi establishments I’ve tried in the past…), so I’m happy for that. Unfortunately, that’s all there was to be happy for.

This place is right next to Like Like Drive-In. We found this place during one of our walk & explore the area. Again, if you’re following my reviews this place had YOGURT. Hahahaha… We peeked inside and it was warm! OMG… It’s a sushi joint with no A/C. But we did see the Yogurt machine and wanted to taste. So we ignored the warm air and severed ourselves some pomegranate & natural yogurt. WOW! It was really good. Quite the surprise since it’s in such an odd place. But I guess you can have yogurt for your dessert after sushi? So now every time we walk by we peek inside to make sure their open for business because it just eludes to «I might close early today»… You’ll know what I mean if you look inside this place. Hope they get enough business, cause we like the yogurt!!!

Tried it out with a Groupon, but the experience was just OK. Although the staff were really friendly and sweet, the portions were skimpy and the spicy ahi was not good quality — it was ground up into a mush and the flavor was a bit«off,» as two of us in my party commented. We tried the spicy ahi/shrimp tempura roll(not that good, very thin layer of ahi, roll only partially filled up the sushi tray, $ 8), spicy ahi stuffed inari(pretty good, cool concept, $ 5 for 3), and tuna(eh.) and natto(boo — hardly any natto!) rolls($ 1.50 and $ 2). I have one more Groupon to use there, but I think I’ll stick to the basic fast-food sushi stuff, like California rolls, when I redeem it. Perhaps they need a bit more time to work out the kinks with the«fresh» and more exotic sushi fare. FYI, the restaurant is located in a strip mall across the steet from Wal-Mart.

A newly added location for Aloha Sushi. From the looks of the place and the very nicely prepared sushi today, I have to say that it one of the best I have seen . It is small like a lot of Aloha Sushi’s, but plenty of room for about a dozen people or so to sit and eat. Extensive selection available and they make it right here on the spot. Great quality sushi for a very, very reasonable price = great value.
