I tried the fruit loop with rice milk pop. It was fantastic to say the least. This one pretty much explains itself and its a must try on the menu when available.

There are several choices for locally made fruit pops, but Aloha Pops just rocketed to the top of my list! Was at Eat the Street and tried the Moroccan mint with hibiscus, soooo good! Can’t wait to check out their other flavors in-store!

These are the best«fresh fruit» pops on the island. Nothing goes better with the hot Hawaiian sun than a nice frozen treat on a stick. Every flavor I’ve tried is great. Can’t go wrong here.

Don’t you love small businesses that get bullied into the ground, but somehow find the strength and courage to fight back, hold-on, and ultimately succeed! Overcoming all odds! Sounds like the typical American dream, right? Yup, it is! And this is the story of… ALOHAPOPS! Bruddah Michael C. wrote a really awesome review on Aloha Pops(oddly that review vanished)! To summarize small business with stubborn, but Akamai, owner defeats ridiculous C&C Gestapo laws! Kathy, the owner of Aloha Pops was pressured almost daily a few years back, basically government got in the way of her dream to make an honest living with delicious treats for the people of Hawaii. It went to court, she prevailed(to my knowledge), and here she now stands(sometimes literally pushing a cart near the Kamehameha statue) selling her very popular and delicious Popsicles! Respects! Flavors include: Lilikoi, Passion Orange Guava, Pineapple Li Hing, Haupia, Pineapple Coconut, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Strawberry Crème, Key Lime, Green River, Blue Hawaii, Red White & Blue and Strawberry Lemonade! I might have missed two or three tropical flavors, but this is what I recall. Aloha Pops also sells in packets, inquire within, but generally it’ll run about $ 3 each at the cart. And if it’s a typical 200-degree Hawaiian day… That $ 3 Popsicle is PRICELESS! If I’m in the area for errands or at the downtown post office I’ll drop-by for a Pineapple Li-hing or whatever is in the cart! It always hits the spot! Lastly, these are the type of stories you like to hear! Kathy, the owner, literally had a dream of making Popsicles for a living in Paradise! She dreamed of using only fresh local ingredients and offer flavors that would explode in your mouth and be memorable. Her dream became reality and here she stands today… Sometimes in the 200-degree sunshine selling her magical Popsicles! Her dedication to her product is obvious. Please stop-by if you see her and talk story… She loves talking story too! Aloha Pop can be found in several areas from events like Eat the Street to her shop in Chinatown on Smith St., and of course during mid-day, with the original cart, in front of the King Kamehameha statue! «Bringing Out the Kid in You” — ALOHAPOPS! Eat the Streets! It is now a traditional that I have to have the flavor of Eat The Street! July’s theme was spicy! Aloha Pops did not fail this challenge with the pineapple habanero pop! Loved the sweetness of the pineapple mixed with hot flavor! Love the pops!!! :)

Aloha Pops is true ALOHA on a stick! Great for a snack! Great for dessert! Great for cooling off on a hot day! Great for occupying your children while at an outdoor movie event! Great for creating world peace one lick at a time! Indeed I’m an Aloha Pops fan not just because they’re the perfect frozen treat but more so because Kathy(the owner) is such a sweetheart! You can find Aloha Pops at: 1) Local festivals and events around the island 2) In front of the Kamehameha statue 3) At a little shop in Chinatown(old Otto Cakes spot across from the park) I highly recommend the li hing mui pineapple. It’s INSANE! Kathy sells her treats in 10 packs as well that come with a super cute ice pack you can take to the beach! Happy licking!

Been wanting to write a review here for a while. I as first introduced to Aloha Pops through an Elementry school I was was working at, Kathy(the owner ans Founder of ALoha Pops) was apperntly doing a fundraiser for that school. I ended up buying the Pineapple Lihing Mui and I was blown away because she uses REAL fruits in her pops. Anyway, a few months pass and I run into her again at the Kamehameha Statue in Downtown Honolulu with her Ice Cream Trycicle, tried the Watermelon and again I was shocked to find that it has been made out of real Watermelon, not that junk artificial flavors! Now Ivw tried almost all the flavors, Watermelon, Lilikoi, Lemon Lime, Blue Vanilla, Pineapple Lihing Mui, Passion Orange Guava, Pineapple Coconue etc… So much awesomeness put into these pops! Not to mention the Aloha Spirit from Kathy! If youre looking for gourmet Pops at a low price of $ 3 each Check out Katt and her amazing Aloha Pops!

Growing up, nothing tasted better on a hot day than a Popsicle or one of those Good Humor Snocones that felt terrible on your teeth, but were saturated in sweet delicious syrup on the bottom. But as you get older, your tastes change, and you realize that the things of your youth like Boone’s Farm and Chef Boy A’rdee aren’t as tasty as you remember. That’s where Aloha Pops comes in. Aloha Pops has everything as whimsical as a Popsicle that reminds you of chasing after the ice cream man, crisp $ 1 bill in hand, minus the terrible after taste of bad flavoring. These pops are AH-mazing. The flavors are fresh, sometimes truly unique(Eat The Street themes like lemon garlic and piggy pops with bacon), and I have never tried one that I didn’t want to finish. The ones I have tried so far are the lilikoi, watermelon and the red white and blue one. My favorite to date would definitely be the watermelon which had the freshest most refreshing flavor to it. If I could have convinced myself it was a «fruit and therefore healthy,» I would likely have had at least three. These pops are fresh, delicious and are served with a smile or aloha :) If you get a chance to check them out, do it, it will be the most delightful $ 3 you’ve spent.

I hate being hot and always want a way to cool down. Aloha Pops is a great way for me to do so. Their pops are cold and tasty. My favorite flavor is the Passion-Orange-Guava or strawberry. They have a bunch of flavors that vary, some mild, some wild. But if you see their tricycle or their tent stop by and cool off. Cold treats to beat the Hawaiian heat. Find out what your favorite flavor is today.

We have had great privilege of enjoying these amazing pops. We always get excited like little kids going«oh theirs Aloha Pops, YESSSS!» We didn’t get to try all the flavors but beyond that the encounter with the owner who is an amazing person was so awesome. She smiled, talked and laughed a lot and as a Hawaiian local I believe that that’s what you need when you want to sell Aloha in the form of a pop… Aloha in your heart :). Thank you for the Aloha! It’s delicious!!!

11.20.13. Yum, yum, yum! Fabulous, delish, & unique flavors for $ 3 a pop. Some might say it’s a bit pricey, but why not support a local business? Tried a Strawberry Cream this time – super delish! But there’s so many sweet & salty confections to choose from! I def want to come back & brave another new flavor :) Unilocal 365 Challenge: #323/365

It was just ok for me. Maybe because i’m more into the milk base kind of popsicles. And maybe because i’m obsessed with ono pops! I tried the lilikoi one & the one with multiple fruit flavors. And yah, just ok. I didn’t really care for it much. But i still want to try the other flavors!

I had the pleasure of trying Aloha Pops for the first time today! The haupia is really creamy and you can really taste the fresh coconut. The li hing pineapple was also really unique and I loved that it had real chunks of pineapple in it. It’s also amazing to me that everything is homemade using local ingredients from Hawaii. The owner, Kathleen, was also very friendly. We will be serving Aloha Pops at our wedding this summer and I just know that it will be one of the highlights of our big day!

I was lucky enough to try an aloha pop for free at a Unilocal Holiday Kick Off event at the Mercedes Benz dealership. Oh so yummy!!! My hubby got the POG. How very Hawaiian! I got the strawberry crème… oh creamy berries danced in my mouth! It was perfect since it was kinda warm in the dealership so this was definitely a nice treat! I wanted to try more flavors but I didn’t want to be the one girl that got more than one free pop. I’ll just have to find her elsewhere. I wish she would market her items in the local areas… say in the western part of the island. hint hint!

Loyal Eat the Street-ers will agree, the themed foods at Eat the Street can be scary. So I will admit, I was apprehensive to try the Garlic Lemon Popcicle from the infamous Aloha Ice Cream Tricycle. So apprehensive, in fact, that I sent Chuco T. in on the front line to try it first. After snagging a frosty bite, I couldn’t believe how refreshing this Aloha Pop was! I had to get one of my own! It was thirst quenching, not too sweet, and I couldn’t even taste the ginger! I could, however, taste a bit of ginger when I was done eating it. Weird how that works? Each Garlic Lemon Pop had a little lemon wedge in it, and the flavor was out of this world! I saw people eating these delicious frosty treats throughout the night, and each one had a different surprise inside! Like a frozen crackerjack box! I won’t spoil the surprises, you’ll just have to go get one for yourself! :) I can’t wait to hunt down this fantastic little booth at the next Eat the Street for another refreshing flavor!

Growing up as a kid, my favorite sound in the whole world, was the combination of music from the ice cream truck, followed by heavy rattling of bells; it meant there would be ice cream & it would be free. One of my oldest uncles, used to be an ice cream man & found great joy selling sweets to kids around the neighborhood. Everyone has their favorite ice cream moment, but Kathy Sills takes the cake, because she’s slowly transforming the way Hawaii consumes ice cream. One day, Kathy Sills woke up & realized she didn’t see any ice cream tricycles around the island, since then she’s dedicated her time, energy & resources into transforming her idea into reality. Kathy used to purchase her popsicles from other vendors, but quickly grew tired of hustling other people’s product & having to pay them. Kathy experienced a «lightbulb moment» & decided to create hand-made popsicles from scratch; Aloha Pops are made from local ingredients & currently being made in Mission Houses Museum Café & Tea Parlor. Creating Aloha Pops is a long & grueling process, but Kathy beams with delight as she explains her technique: Aloha Pops are put into commercial molds & dry ice used throughout the creation, it takes 5 hours for the ice cream to set & then the process starts all over. Afterwards, Kathy seeks sincere feedback, on how she can improve the taste/texture of her pops, from people operating at the Green House Innovation Hub(Aloha Pops are also there). Kathy has the one of the sweetest jobs in town, she spends her time coming up with new popsicle flavors & listens to suggestions made from her fans. After receiving numerous requests, Aloha Tricycle created a Green River Pop & even held a pop-up party earlier this month, at the Green House Innovation Hub; if you missed this event, don’t worry, fans can expect pop-up events in the future. Even though, Kathy has faced numerous challenges an entrepreneur: finding alternative ways to bring freight ice cream tricycles to the island, creating popsicles that look appealing & have consistent flavor + being cited last August for violating a 1978 city ordinance(street vendors had to move 300 feet after being at a location after 15 minutes). However, despite the obstacles & countless opportunities from people making serious offers to buy her tricycle, Kathy made it clear, her bike isn’t for sale & proudly states that she has, «barely scratched the surface(with her dream).» This type of grit & confidence makes it clear that Aloha Pops is here to stay. The future for Aloha Pops looks promising, Kathy envisions building a fleet of custom-made Aloha Tricycles & hopes to see them in neighborhoods across the island. Kathy hopes to one day, lease those custom-made Aloha Tricycles to at-risk youths & help them start a business, by selling them her Aloha pops & teach them with the value of social media for small business owners. I can’t wait for the day Aloha Tricycles become a familiar part of our neighborhoods & everyone can enjoy a locally-made popsicle. Be sure to check out Aloha Tricycle website & familiarize yourself with the various Aloha Pops, hopefully it makes the decision to choose a mouth-watering pop easier.

Ho, remembah when you was one keiki and mom and dad when take you to da drive inn for dakine burgers and fried noodles? Remembah dat one drink that was so cool cuz it was inside dat clear dispenser. You know. Green Rivah. Yawps. Now, it’s one of those nostalgic drinks you like to grab for your kids or nieces and nephews when you’re at the drive in. You know, for shitz n giggles, and old time sake! Well dear Unilocalers, if you’re in town during the week or at Eat the Street on the last Friday of every month, you are in luck for Aloha Ice Cream Tricycle went back in time to bring back Green River… in Aloha Pop form! @ $ 2.50 a pop, you can snag a nostalgic moment in time as you savor the tart lemon/lime flavor of green. After debuting at a «POP» up, Kathy has been serving this up alongside her normal selection of flavors. What a treat! I’m definitely going to be hitting her up for more… these are my new favorite addiction. The only downside is that I’m a hot mess when I eat it. I swear, I never grew out of the highchair. I got sticky hands, sticky mouth, sticky shirt, sticky water bottle… its redonkulous… but not more than the flavor of these wonderfully delicious pops! The flavor is uniform and well frozen. Love love love love it.
