for the internet… this abc store has everything you need. if u cannot find anything here, then wtf are u doing in beautiful hawaii ‘nei? they get hats, aloha shirts, sunscreen, liquor, sandwichs, boogie boards, floaters, beach toys, gifts, collectibles, souveniers, cigarrettes, juice, water, etc. etc. u try to set a good example as a bigga brotha and have a positive attitude then some wannabe little shits come over and fuck da whole thing up on your account… they bitch made bustas good as dead… yo. do the white thing. wishing u a good ass vacation. have a list.

ABC stores are on every corner and in every major resort in Waikiki. The name is so easy to remember for tourists who don’t speak English. They carry a huge selection of snacks, foods, liquor and drinks. You can also get clothes, souvenir items like calendars, key chains, cups, sunscreen, drugs, etc. They have pretty much everything tourists need. No need to catch a bus to go to Walmart. They can save time. and enjoy the vacation.

Friendly and helpful staff at any hour of the day! You can find just about anything in ABC Stores, which are conveniently located all over Waikiki. More expensive than Longs Drugs, but convenient in a pinch!
This store is located about the middle of Royal Hawaiian Avenue, between Kalakaua Avenue and Kuhio Avenue, across the entrance to DFS Hawaii. It is NOT to be confused with the ABC Store in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, about a block closer to Kalakaua Avenue.

I really can’t get enough of these ABC Stores. They are freaking AWESOME. You can get everything you need to survive in life, including beer and liquor before the sun rises. What more can I say, other than the fact I wish they had more locations outside Hawaii. Forget 7 – 11. This is what a convenience store should be.

I am not sure if this is the one I went to, because there are about a dozen ABC Stores in Waikiki. It was either this one, or the one at:

Some of you Chinese from SF or LA may think this store is just for you, but, no, the ABC does not stand for American-​Born Chinese.
It is really more for me, a Hapa Haole tourist, who is half-​Japanese. Because this store has items that are half from Japan, and half from America. (Well, which makes most of the non-​perishable items all made in China!)
So instead of this being called the ABC Store, it should be called the Hapa Haole Tourist Store.
And you thought ABC Stores are unique to Hawaii? Think again! Like the brown tree snake that has proliferated there, the ABC Stores have spread over Guam!

Oh, ABC, how I love thee.
From the moment I landed, to the very last few hours I was there, I probably went inside at least once a day. I found their mini airplane bottles of booze quite appealing and convenient, as well as their coffees and pancake mixes to take back home.
A beach mat and towel here, a drink or two there, some snacks and a few gifts, this ABC was in the best locale possible and had exactly what I needed when I needed it. Oh, and the clerks were funny and friendly too – especially when a group of cougars walked in with hideous visors and premixed Mai Tai bottles… they invited themselves to the party, heh.

I think it would be very cool to review all of the ABC Stores. However, it would take me a long time to do it alone. So I’ll just review this one for starts. It’s a small store, packed with inventory, which looks like mostly shirts. I walked in looking for a bag, so I wouldn’t be carrying an obviously visible laptop. That turned out to be a good thing — Waikiki is a very jumping neighborhood tonight. Oh, and for a couple of bucks, why not a 2007 calendar. They’re so cute. In a few minutes I’m walking out with my laptop in a nice Hawaii shoulder bag embroidered with hibiscus, for under $ 11.
