So sad that another restaurant in downtown has closed. This was the place to buy fresh salads especially the bbq chicken salad.

Great lunch specials, hot lunch entrees, salads and sandwich combos. Now in this new location, they make their pizza fresh and is sold by the slice. YUM!

I am eating the pesto/basil Chicken PIZZA right now. It is crispy and delicious. Service was good, but I have to say, I got there at 11:15 in order to get the pizza fresh from the oven. Fried Rice looked good. I’ll stop in for breakfast next week.

1132 is the establishment where you go cause its convenient and its menu might have something that strikes you. It offers a menu that has no rhyme or reason to it and decent prices(for downtown), while serving it up quickly so that you can be on your way. The menu is far reaching with sandwiches, salads, soups, pizzas, and plate lunches. The selection is bound to have something that would fill your stomach. However, I have yet to be truly wow-ed by anything I’ve ordered. The pizza’s are what you would expect and cooked well, while the salads are just that… salads. I’d make the same statement for their sandwiches as well. While the soups of the day ultimately will have portugese bean chili, curry pumpkin, along with one or two others. The plate lunches offer local favorites such as pork adobo, beef stew, and teriyaki chicken. All the plate lunches come with a choice of vegetable and starch with brown rice and other curried options available for an additional fee. None of the items mentioned truly wow-ed me. It didn’t disappoint, but the pork adobo was just a tad undercooked, the beef stew slightly under seasoned and the teriyaki chicken just a tad too sweet. Service is just that, service. The staff there are quick to get you through and are efficient at what they do. I might try asking a question about the menu, but would keep it quick and simple. The ambiance is comfortable with lots of seating both indoors and out. It is slightly messy but it isn’t dirty nor is it unsightly, but it is definitely something that catches your eye. Like I said, there is nothing that has ever wow’ed me… if one word summed up 1132, it would be… expected.

I say this place as ok. The atmosphere was great it felt really nice and upscale. However I don’t know about the food. Granted I’ve only been here once, first impressions are worth a lot. I ordered their eggplant parmesan and my expectations were not met at all. The eggplant was a on the dry side, I felt that for the time I was waiting the must have been making my dish fresh or something! But it really seemed like it was sitting under a warmer. I had one good piece out of 5 small slices of eggplant. The noodles and sauce were pretty good though. This place was decent but I don’t know if I would want to come back and try other dishes.

Not that great. Menu is all over the place and sort of expensive for what you get. I got the half a sandwich and cup of soup option, for about $ 8. The sandwich was turkey and it was ok. I had a pumpkin soup which was decent. Try another restaurant.

There are so many good places to get lunch downtown. This is not one of them. It’s expensive and just not that great for what you pay.

THE most upscale Subway on the island of Oahu. If you are looking for a plain ham sandwich but want to pay more than $ 5 for no where near a foot long– without all of the choices of what to put on the sandwich– go right ahead. If you want to try for taste– try the chicken walnut or other mixed up dishes like the turkey cranberry. It is not good food– it is not the best food, it is food(that isn’t subway) that you would find at a mom’s house that makes a better ham sandwich than your mom. They have some salads too. Best you will find on short notice in Honolulu area. It’s just normal mix greens or fruit in — well= salad. They do box lunches for meeting– which I’ve had 10 too many times working downtown. Once was plenty let alone any more. But if you need to eat and you are here– go for it. You can’t go wrong if someone wants a normal mainland meal and you don’t want to get them sick or put out of the way.
