Homemade biscuits! There is little doubt that this is a good place to eat when trying to get in here. It’s fairly small and oftentimes difficult to find a seat. We were lucky to snag one. I ordered the clucker and a cinnamon roll. The clucker came with chicken and sausage gravy on a biscuit. It was very good. My cinnamon roll was good also. The owner was visible, and you could tell there was pride in ownership.

This is a cute little place for a good, well-priced breakfast. I had a combo platter with sausage, bacon, eggs, grits, and a biscuit. The biscuit was delicious… light and fluffy and warm. The bacon, sausage and grits were good. The eggs, however were terrible. I don’t know if they were old eggs or over cooked, but they were kind of rubbery and had a bit of a sulfur taste. Our server was great; very attentive and quick on the coffee refills. The owner also came over to see how everything was. You can tell this is a home town business that really cares for its customers and the community. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in Florida.

Biscuit Barn is a quaint, local breakfast spot that has friendly, efficient staff and tasty food! I ordered a side biscuit and it was absolutely delicious. The waitress brought a side of honey for it(yum) and the owner(AJ) was energetic and showed care for making it a positive dining experience. I will return!

Excellent biscuits! I had the bull biscuit. And make sure to try the sausage gravy — it’s delicious. AJ, the owner, stopped by our table. He’s a really nice guy: warm, welcoming, took the time to welcome us, and is working with his staff to make for a really great atmosphere. Thank you!

This place is fairly new and AWESOME! They have the best breakfast in town. There is usually about a 10 minute wait to get in but it is SO worth it!

This place was awesome. The biscuits were so good, our daughter who doesn’t like much ate hers and ours. The service was fast and friendly. The bill was more than reasonable. Will definitely go again when up in Citrus!

Went here after swimming with the Manatees. For those out of town looking for a great place to eat after an early morning swim, come here. Great service, biscuits, and hash browns.

Absolutely amazing food. The owner stopped by our table several times and we saw him helping the servers. Very hands on, I appreciated that. I had the biscuits and gravy with bacon. Best bacon I have ever had. The biscuit and gravy was delicious too. Everything was delicious and we look forward to returning. Our server was a bit brash, could’ve been a bit friendlier. She seemed rush and irritated. Oh well, she could’ve just been having a bad day.

Ok so I came here to try their dinner service. Just have to say five star for me and my husband. I had the baked chicken and red potatoes, and my husband had the fish platter, let’s just say it was just fabulous. Chicken fell off the bone. And the fish was excellent. Service was outstanding.

All of our breakfasts were perfect. The best grits I’ve ever had, light and fluffy. who knew! and I haven’t had a biscuit that good since I left Tennessee. This is our new favorite breakfast spot. A little busy, but worth the wait.

Awesome food, great service, best biscuit anywhere! Love this place, we even drive from Crystal River to pick it up to go when we don’t feel like going out for breakfast — it’s THAT good! My husband is picky about his eggs & he says they are always perfect. Love this place!

Similar to some reviews on AJ’s, I found the food pretty blah. The sausage gravy had little meat or flavor, and it seemed like it was just extended with pancake mix. The«over-hard» eggs were runny and really ruined my appetite. They ran out of biscuits(!) so we didn’t receive ours until 25 minutes into our meal. Not good. So, runny eggs with nothing to hide them. Plus, I felt sick for the next 24 hours. Not a good experience.

Really disappointed today, not sure I will give them another chance after the way I was treated. I saw no «wait here» sign as I entered and made my way to a table. I was expected to get out of the way of the server carrying food. OK… But then I had to make way for the busser carrying a tray of flatware. «May I help you?» was barked in an accusatory tone. I suggested I may want breakfast, and she explained that because I was carrying a notebook and I was alone, she assumed I was a vendor. «Counter?» I asked for a table. She led me to a two top that had two odd bowls on it. One of the bowls had a 2″ drip of something inside it. She plopped my menu beside the dirty bowl and left. I walked out. If service like this is allowed in the front of the house, I cannot trust what happens in the back.

This is another Green family restaurant. The Green family has been in the restaurant business in Citrus County for 40+ years and run their restaurants VERY successfully. Let’s start with the smiling faces that greet you when you walk in– so very friendly and welcoming! Next the food, the biscuits are so big by them self and then to add egg, cheese, sausage or bacon, ham, twelve choices in all but then you can get your biscuit smothered in sausage gravy — it’s a work of Art! Then you can add a side of hash browns — it’s what’s for breakfast. The plate sized pancakes are some of the best my daughter has ever eaten with scrambled eggs and bacon for $ 3 and change. Me, myself had the good old biscuits & gravy with 2 eggs over easy, the gravy has a great sausage flavor and nice creamy gravy awesome! One of my other favorites is the county fried steak and 2 eggs over easy with thick rye toast wow! My wife, who is an omelette snob said the Western omelette was the best she’s had for many years. Extremely fluffy with no brown spots or crispy edges is how she loves her omelettes and that’s exactly how they cooked it. Deep fried hash browns and thick slices of buttered rye toast completed her meal. We all walked away extremely satisfied and extremely full! Looking forward to our next visit with much anticipation! This is now our go to breakfast place. They’re open for lunch too which we will have to try but I’m sure it’s made with the same high standards as their breakfasts!
