We stopped here on our way back to Ohio. Very convenient to interstate 65. Not much insulation because we could hear the freeway traffic from our room. Average room in pretty good shape. They were sold out of king rooms so we settled for a double room instead. Bed was comfortable but pillows were so flat might as well of slept without pillow. Air conditioner worked well but extremely noisy with no way to turn the fan down to low. Staff was friendly but a little on the pricey side for what you got. Would probably find a different hotel if back in the area again.

Pretty standard for Hampton. Decent location, breakfast was fine. Workout room felt like a sauna– Room was very standard and updated within last 5 – 6 years.

Quick overnight at the Hampton — this wasn’t a time when we needed a really nice place, but rather a place to show up near the highway, sleep, and leave. Great price, really close to the road and a really nice Hampton. I’m loyal to Hilton normally, and was happy to find this place met my criteria. When we arrived, we were very happy.

We checked in late at night, but had no issues at all. The room was clean and waiting for us. The mattress seemed comfortable enough. Not like our awesome pillow-topper at home, but decent. I was a bit confused by the tiny square bed pillows, but they actually slept ok. I was looking forward to a good night’s sleep. Silly me. I woke up halfway through the night with my back killing me. Somehow the mattress felt much more firm than it did initially. I also noticed that my pillow had flattened and the thermostat raised itself by 5 degrees. It’s like this room was haunted by some kind of uncomfortable ghost. From then on, the AC seemed incapable of cooling the room below 77 degrees. The shower was ok, but the sink was not. Whoever constructed this room positioned the faucet such that it only extends about ¾-inch into the sink basin, making it extremely difficult and frustrating to simply wash your hands. Breakfast was ok. Not great, but at least it was free. If we ever find ourselves back in Birmingham, we’ll be staying elsewhere.

Didn’t think that I would be forced to take a cold shower 2 nights in a row. Then when I called the front desk to ask about it the agent told me that they change the settings on the hot water tank. But then offered to change my room. So how in the heck will changing rooms make the shower hot if you clearly stated that the temperature is changed on it at night. I am highly upset that I couldn’t give my baby a warm bath to help her sleep. Nor could I take a hot shower.

3rd time’s a charm! Yes, three is the number of rooms that we were moved to! The first room smelled extremely smoky although there was a no smoking sign up. Due to my allergies we couldn’t stay in it. Even though this was something beyond their control, they could’ve looked to see that the smoke detector was missing from the wall which is a major fire hazard. The second room smelled fresh and looked clean and then I tried the bathroom. The toilet paper is thin so I know I didn’t cause it, but the minute I flushed the water in the toilet overflowed to the top. 30 minutes later I was given a plunger. I tried and my family tried unclogging the toilet with a broken plunger! So… they moved us again without them trying to use the plunger. The 3rd room smelled fresh and had a working toilet! The. I looked up at the ceiling to see BUGS flying around! 10 to be exact! Thank goodness they were only lady bugs(there were only about 2 in the other rooms we were in). The breakfast is mediocre at best. I asked about bagels and they said they had been out of them for 3 days! They have your typical oatmeal, cereal, waffle maker, and fruit. For the over $ 100 we paid, I’d suggest that you take your business elsewhere. The ONLY reason I rate them with 2 stars is because the man at the front desk was very nice and accommodating by being able to move us fairly quickly.

Good location, easy access to I65. However, make sure that the ladybug infestation has been taken care of before you stay here. My colleague and I each had a swarm of 20 – 30 ladybugs in our rooms. After checking several more rooms, the night manager was able to find 2 clear rooms for us to move to. Apparently, the general manager is aware of the problem but has done nothing to resolve it.

Nice hotel with a great location just off of 65. It’s well maintained but the décor is slightly older than most Hamptons. The beds were nice and comfy and the staff was really nice. I do have to say that they were out of a bunch of stuff at the breakfast.
