I am done with this place. Customer service and management are non-existent. There is no longer the desire to ensure correct billing and service worthy of a tip. I have been going here since the 60’s. Well, never again.

Aurelio’s Pizza in Homewood is the best hands down of any Aurelios location. It’s the ovens! try the calzone too — they are wonderful! There is only one problem: Your taste buds will never enjoy another pizza as much as one from Aurelios!

Still our favorite Aurelio’s to go to. We have had countless family parties here! Love their party room and the little arcade area for the kids.

A massive layer of protein on a super thin crisp crust, barely held together with a tasty sauce in between. My Chicago go-to has always been Malnati’s in Schaumburg but being way down here in the southland, it was time to try Aurelio’s pie. Very nice! Like homemade, if I was doing it myself. Except that the crust is better! At first, I was worried that«thin crust» meant New York style, which is good to be sure but I wanted something that was unique. This is definitely a hit with me, next time I’ll add some veggies to the mix! 4 of 5 because the sauce is a little sweeter than I prefer.

Aurelio’s is a classic. I have been here or ordered from here countless times and I have never, ever, not once, been disappointed. When we’ve had work parties or eaten here with friends, service has been phenomenal. Treat yourself to a Super Six. You’ll love it!

The only reason for my review is for the customer service. I called to amend one of my orders that I placed online. The girl that answered the phone was very rude. She did not let me finish my sentences etc. I ended up getting straight to the point with her and I thanked her for her help… For her to just hang up on me. Your customer service is disappointing. It makes me steer away from this location even more. The food is fine. Very upset. I placed my order at about 1:30 on March 24th. I recommend speaking to this employee to avoid future circumstances like the one I unfortunately had to encounter today. She didn’t give a name or anything though.

It’s a family tradition to visit Aurelio’s Pizza in Homewood when I’m in town. We really appreciate how friendly and accommodating the staff is! While the quality of other Aurelio’s pizza can very day-to-day, Homewood has never disappointed. Mmmm mmmm!

I love Aurelios. I can’t believe some people actually have legitimate complaints about Homewood. I’m sure those who complaine had either no intention of actually paying for their meal in the first place, or possibly have multiple negative comments about any establishment that doesn’t offer free handouts. I personally know that if any issues with service would be taken care of immediately by the waiting staff or management(Within reason). I do not feel you deserve a refund when you’ve eaten ¾ of your pizza already or heaven forbid you had to wait 20 minutes on a Saturday night for a table. Great job Homewood Aurelios!!! Great service, Great food. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Favorite pizza… ever. Sauce is amazing. We live in St Charles now but always look for an excuse to get to the Glenwood Aurelio’s. Crust perfect, we prefer to have pizza cooked well done. Always a great experience no matter topping we get on the pizza. Get the antipasto salad every time. It’s simple but so good. Can’t wait to come back!

This is one of the best pizza’s that I’ve tasted. I had a veggie pizza. The waitress was really nice. It was my first visit and I definitely will come again.

It was delicious! All I had was the thin cheese but it was great… I didn’t like it the next day but other than that I could have ate the whole pizza if I didn’t get full the first day:)

Waited forever for food. If you have an allergy… RUN!!! First, we ordered drinks, but our party of 20 all got completely different drinks and pitchers than we ordered. All of our drinks had to be replaced. Also, throughout the night, we received consistently slow service. We received no compensation for the mistakes on the behalf of the staff(see below for more details). Unlike other locations, this location was not only unable to accommodate my dairy allergy, but also tried serving me dairy in a sandwich(which is a lawsuit waiting to happen). I was at this location for a family get together, when I ordered an original sandwich with no cheese(I normally order a pizza with tomato paste to accommodate my allergy, but this location did not have tomato paste unlike all the other locations I have been to). The waitress assured me that there was no cheese, but lo and behold, there was cheese. Luckily, due to my outstanding sense of tact, I was able to detect cheese and sent the sandwich back before major symptoms developed. I was able to finish the replacement sandwich while enduring my mild symptoms from the previous cheese incident. The moral of story: Check your food before you eat it! Lesson learned.

Take it from me, when you eat this pizza growing up — you’re ruined for life. Literally. No other pizza will ever stand up. Every time I come back to Chicago, this is my first stop. Pizza is my go-to(obviously) but everything else is also delicious. And if you haven’t tried the chicken Alfredo pizza, you haven’t lived. The food is even better when you dine in. The restaurant is huge and a great space for large parties. Even so, it gets crowded and there’s usually a wait on the weekends. Pro tip: ask for your pizza cooked in the old oven

I grew up on this pizza so maybe I’m biased… nah it’s just good not matter what! Even my friends who’ve never had it love it. Their thin crust sausage is what I crave. I live in Los Angeles now and actually have them send it to me on dry ice so I can get my fix between visits to my home town. It’s the BEST!

Best thin crust pizza in the southern suburbs! I drove 25 mins out of my way just to try their thin crust and got a Large all to myself, haha! Loved it. I ordered half cheese and half pepperoni. It was greasy and excellent in every way! Would go back and plan on it soon.

THEMOSTAMAZINGPIZZAEVER. Everything is awesome, the crust is so thin and crispy, the cheese tastes so good, real cheese! Every ingredient is good quality, never had anything that was bad there! And it is great reheated!

We really like Aurelio’s pizza. They always deliver really quickly and the order is never wrong. We have had the thin and deep dish pizzas. They have really good sauce. So, we like to get the breadsticks with sauce for dipping too. Granted, Lou Malnati’s and Giardano’s might actually be better. But, Aurelio’s still has grea pizza.

You simply cannot go wrong with Aurelio’s! We have been going here for over 30 years, and celebrated birthdays, graduations, and even more events here. The only time we had one small problem, Joe himself came to talk to us, and gave us a pizza on the house! I’d also recommend the taco pizza. Often overlooked, but divine!

A friend told me that the pizza here is to die for… it is. One of the most delicious pizzas I have eaten in a while and at a fair price. Brought the girlfriend. We were seated immediately. The décor wasn’t bad at all. Nothing fancy but it was nice. Service was fast and our waitress was very attentive. I noticed that everything was very clean: tables, floors, seats, glasses, etc. Will be coming back :)

I used to laugh at my father-in-law when he’d insist his pizza be made in the«old oven.» Then I tried it. Super yums, and the oven makes a big difference in the flavor and texture of the crust. Big fan of the old oven. I LOVE the Bosco sticks stuffed with cheese(make sure you get them seasoned) — nothing like them in any other pizza joint in the Ho-Flo. We’re also partial to the stuffed pizza– loads of cheese and any toppings you want. We suggest either spinach and garlic or sausage. And about that Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie– sinful! They serve it in a cast iron skillet and the center is gooey and«just undercooked enough» to make it perfect. It’s not ideal for takeout obviously, but I never miss it when we dine in. The only drawback– price. Aurelio’s is famous and Homewood is the flagship, but really? It can cost over $ 50 to get salad, Bosco Sticks and pizza for a group of 5. It’s yummy and worth it, but Aurelio’s is definitely more of a treat than weekly takeout at our house.

Gotta love Aurelios Pizza! It’s not like a Giordano’s, Gino’s East, or a Lou Malnati’s…it is its own unique taste and style. My favorite is the thin crust sausage and cheese. Whether you dine-in or have it delivered, Aurelios never disappoints. Sometimes a bit too much sauce for my taste, but overall, it’s definitely one of the best pizza places in the Chicago area.

I love pizza and Aurelio’s is one of the many reasons why. Ordered a large antipasto salad to share amongst a group. This salad had the right fixings and very fresh! We shared the largest thin crust. And the other Unilocalers are right. The cheese is perfect. The sauce is a touch sweeter and hits your taste buds like no other. The crust is so crispy. You can’t think about your next piece while your still eating your current piece!

We popped in Aurelio’s on our way out of Chicago. We were not disappointed! The pizza was great and my house salad was excellent. It included diced red peppers that I enjoyed but if you aren’t a fan I would recommend ordering it without-it would be impossible to pick them all off. Our server was very helpful with giving us the low down on Chicago style pizza-which they do not have. The Italian style beef was sliced like roast beef and ended up being tasty! If you’re in Chicagoland I definitely recommend this joint. Don’t forget the wings, they were yummy as well.

Aurelios has great pizza and pasta. That’s a fact. You’d be hard pressed to find better in the south suburbs. The service, however, does tend to swing between great and awful. It’s a solid place to grab some grub, but just be ready for potentially average service. TL;dr: It’s the food that brings us back, not the service.

Ordered pizza almost two hours ago. Still waiting. Maybe I would expect this on a Friday or Saturday but not on a Tuesday. We called back an hour after we ordered to see where it was because they said 30 min. Apparently they had marked our pizza as a pick up. They said they would re make it and rush it over… Currently three min away from being another hour late. They gave us the wings on the house which I appreciate but we ordered pizza at 7 on a school night and now it is 9:30 with still no pizza. Love you guys and I have all my life but I probably won’t be back after this.

Best pizza ever. That’s all you need to know. Chicago is know for the pizza, well, do yourself a favor and drive down to Homewood and eat at Aurelio’s. We actually took the train 45 minutes there and back just to have this pizza. It was a nice little adventure and I will do it every time I’m craving a pizza! The pizza is crispy, the crust is crispy all over but the inside is still soft. The toppings have a layer of blistered cheese on top of them but, are still steaming on the inside. It’s so unexplainable and amazing you just have to have it. The best part is, taking the left overs home and popping them back in the oven to reheat. So good! Amazing pizza, totally worth the train ride/drive/wait, cozy restaurant, perfect winter evening!
