We had water damage to our ceiling from a roof leak above us. Strait-Line did an excellent job, were very courteous and professional and didn’t even make a mess! I would highly recommend.

We had major remodeling done in our kitchen and front room. Since our home is so small, we took down the wall between the kitchen and front room. Everything was gutted. All brand new and turned out beautiful. My dream kitchen! Last step was the painting. Strait-Line charged double the estimates we received, put they assured their workmanship would be that much better, that they would use only the high-end Sherwin Williams’ paints we decided on and that they could start right away.(REDFLAG). We were in a time crunch because we wanted to be moved back in and settled before school started back up in two weeks. I went to Sherwin Williams and picked out the type, sheen & grade of paint, the color swatches and gave them detailed instructions. So we left on our mini vacation while they completed the work. What could go wrong?(REDFLAG). For the trim, windows and doors the crew was suppose to fill in the new trim nail holes and paint with Dover White #6385 gloss, which matched my kitchen cabinets perfectly. What they ended up doing was putting the putty over the nail holes on the brand new trim, never sanding the excess off and painted over using the wrong color paint leaving lots of clumps and brush strokes.(Workers confided that they used the standard white trim paint they use on every job.). So the brand new trim looks like old marred trim that has been painted over a few too many times. Plus they painted the wrong color and left dripped paint dried up on the windows and my new hardwood floors. The walls were to be Dapper Dan #6144 Satin and on the ceiling Softer Tan #6141 flat. Dried paint drips and bare spots on the walls. The ceiling is not painted in Softer Tan. But the worst part, they got paint on everything in my brand new custom dream kitchen! They somehow managed to get paint on the brand new custom cabinets, every new appliance, new granite counter tops, ceiling, new ceiling fan and somehow every single new light switch, new outlet and new register covers. Also the banisters were supposed to be sanded and varnished. They never did them. So when I walked into my dream kitchen/living room I saw dried paint drips and marks on just about everything, the wrong color and type of paint, the banisters not done and the trim marred up. So I took pictures of all the mistakes and none are duplicates. I started crying when my 4 gb memory card ran out of space. So the company came back to try to fix the mistakes. Three men worked nonstop for 6 hours and could only fix about half the mistakes. The trim can’t be fixed, too labor intensive. When they were done they cleaned their brushes in my brand new kitchen sink. I thought someone was playing a bad joke on me. Where are the hidden cameras?
