Best in area for sure. I always get good food and while it’s not the best Chinese food I ever had(best was some hole in the wall in France actually) it’s good Chinese food that’s not totally watered down to what Americans typically think of as «Chinese» food. Yes they definitely have those americanized dishes but they do blend the Asian flavors and style of cooking into it better than most places in the area. I’ve never had a bad meal and have found some really good things on the menu I didn’t think I’d actually like but glad I tried. The only thing is I wish they used fresh sliced mushrooms.

My boyfriend and I decided to order take out from this place to give it a try. Since I am visiting from the West Coast, I was a little skeptical at first. Because I am from the West Coast and also being second generation Taiwanese, I have higher standards when it comes from Chinese food. I ordered the«Moo shu» pork(never had I ever seen mu shu spelled that way, ever.) and I got severely sick. I had food poisoning immediately after I ate that. Luckily, since my boyfriend ordered the«Kung Po» chicken(I had never seen kung pao spelled this way either…), he was not ill like I was. Regardless, stay away from the«moo shu pork»! The ingredients are definitely fresh. The vegetables in the kung pao chicken looked great. We also both had shared the pot stickers appetizer. But, the traditional Chinese definition of pot stickers is to have the dumplings pan fried. Thus, I was slightly confused when the person who took our order asked if we wanted to «steam, pan fry or deep fry.» I shook the confusion off and went for the pan fried option and I was pleasantly surprised. These dumplings tasted just like homemade dumplings! I highly recommend these. Although I might have just had bad beginners luck with this place, I am willing to give this place a second chance. Perhaps, if this second round goes better– I will update my review accordingly.

Used to semi decent… The food is way over price for the cheap meats and ingredients used. Quality has gone Down hill as well. Most likely my last time ordering from them.

I have ordered dinner to go twice from Orient Café. After giving them a second try tonight, I think I will stick to my regular Chinese food take out place. I will say, the beef and broccoli was delicious, as were the egg rolls. Other than that, I wasn’t really impressed with any the other items that I’ve ordered. I have tried the cashew chicken which was incredibly sweet. It was so terrible that it went straight into the trash can! It tasted like sugary, syrupy chicken. Very gross. Tonight, I ordered the chicken lo mein and it was just average. There was a good combination of chicken, noodles and vegetables which I enjoyed. However, the taste was very bland. I have also tasted their Moo Goo Gai Pan, Salt and Black Pepper Pork and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. Their portions are large and comparable to other similar restaurant in the areas. Although I haven’t dined inside, the restaurant appears clean and the service has always been friendly and very quick. One more thing, I have never received fortune cookies with my order. It sounds strange, but that may be my favorite part of ordering Chinese takeout!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been in this joint since I live right down the street but I have to say, I was really happy that I stopped. Now that I’m newly veg life, it’s hard to find places in the burbs that cater to this. Here’s what’s great about this place– the service — our waitress was outstanding and funny. Service was on the slower side due to her being the only one on the floor that night, which is not her fault — the owner/manager should account for that and pick up the slack… instead she was more worried about getting candles on the table. Another awesome thing is that they make their own sauces so I was able to know what was in each one and pick what I wanted instead of playing the guessing game. The portions are decent! Options are endless and food is hot… It’s a pretty good place to pick up some quick Chinese or dine in if you have some time — def. beats the same old chilis across the street!

If you haven’t tried The Orient Café you really need to check it out! The best Chinese Food I’ve ever had. You’ve got to try the egg rolls and the spicy teriyaki chicken, my personal favorites. From the moment you walk in you can tell the owners take pride in their business. It’s beautifully decorated and always clean. The wait staff is also wonderful, especially Courtney! The Orient is my go to place for any occasion.

Our go-to Chinese restaurant. My kids get to pick out a birthday dinner every year and every year guess what they want? Yep, Orient Café. We always order Sweet and Sour Chicken, Veggie Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoon. Have never been disappointed. Next time I order, I want to venture out of our box and try something else from the menu.

Ordered delivery. 2 hours later the food arrived after several calls to the establishment. Once the food did arrive, found a long strand of hair in the container. Really?! After 2 hours there’s a hair in the food and then you have attitude on the phone that you’re annoyed. Not really a great way to operate a business. Then you come back and pick up the food for the refund. What a joke! Won’t ever order or recommend this dump!

We used to be huge fans of this place but the last time we ordered there was a dark black hair in the egg roll. Called and talked to manager and suggested they wear nets when cooking. Offered me a free egg roll order next time. Well just ordered the other night and two hairs in the good again. Tossed the entire 30 dollar meal and will now never go back. It’s a shame since the food is not bad minus the hair.

As I’m typing this, I’ve been currently waiting 5 minutes for someone to seat me. Everyone just keeps staring and walking away. The workers don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Forget it. I just left. 10 minutes went by.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The service is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and last of all, the food is delicious. I particularly enjoy the create your own meal option toward the top of the menu. With that, you pick your meat, sauce, and five vegetables. A small order is under $ 7 and I can get two generous meals out of it. Other dishes we order regularly include the Moo Shoo Pork, Szechwan Chicken, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. We usually order takeout, but once we ate inside and enjoyed that experience too.

This was my first visit here. It is a very nice, clean restaurant. The server and the owner were very nice and both were very attentive. The food was awesome. It was beautifully served and delicious. Upon request I was given a small dish of chili paste. We had the lunch special which is served until 4 pm and is very reasonably priced. I chose KungPao Beef. My dad had chicken and peapods. My mom had tomato pepper and beef. They were all great choices. Highly recommend this place!

Subpar quality. Moo Shu pork was runny and had a distinct lack of flavor(and delivery man spilled it all down the side of the bag). Mongolian beef was very tough — more like beef jerky. Egg rolls were good though!

This may be the last time I use Unilocal to help select a restaurant… Or, perhaps all the rave reviews were written by the owner/staff of this establishment. First course: The egg drop soup came pre-prepared with chow mein noodles sprinkled on top. No thanks !? Second course: The mystery meat in the egg rolls was so finely ground that it had a pasty texture/taste. Main courses:(2) Beef with pea pods – the beef had a pot roast taste. The peas were fresh, but both were drowning in a !!! SODIUM !!! gravy that took two glasses of water extinguish. The fried rice side was tasteless/greasy. Mongolian beef – also drowned in a SODIUM based gravy. Again, the green onion vegetable component was fresh. And, again, the fried rice side was tasteless & greasy. Management was kind and apologetic, but even with a $ 5.00 return coupon, we won’t be returning.

The wife and I were out in the area Saturday night, and needed a decent meal. So naturally, I checked in with the Unilocal app to see where to go. There aren’t a lot of great looking places in this area without spending an arm and a leg. We came in here, and were seated quickly. Once I sat there for about five minutes without any service, I realized they might have been under-staffed. Or maybe it’s always like that? I gotta say, everyone there was really hustling to get things done, and I appreciate that. Even though they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, the service was still very friendly and patient once they got to us! We had the appetizer that comes with egg rolls, pot stickers, and crab rangoon. Everything was pretty good, and didn’t seem pre-packaged. I had my usual General Tso chicken for my meal. It was a massive amount of food for the price, and was great quality! No odd chewy pieces of chicken. The vegetables were fresh and the sauce was great! I don’t recall what the wife ordered… I’m a good watcher, not listener. Maybe neither? I think it was a «build your own» stir fry type dish, and I don’t recall any complaints. This place is definitely higher quality than take out chinese food, and the menu had some other great looking dishes on it too. There were a lot of dishes on the menu that were noodle based, and they sounded pretty good. I think this whole noodle dish craze must have rolled in while I was living under a rock apparently? There seems to be some great food here, and I think the lunch special prices would be a great value!
