OK, the wait might be lengthy, the parking something less then spectacular, a single bathroom for all to share, a smaller menu to chose from, but — the best food the wife and I have found in this area of Amish country! Our group of 4 ate at Rebecca’s for the first time yesterday and all agreed this was the best all around food we’d had in Amish country. We make the trip to this area at least once a month and eat at one of the area’s many establishments once or twice each time. We had 4 different main course items including their Cuban, quince, burger and grilled cheese and each of us concluded ours was the best we’d had in Amish Country. I had the burger and it was great, but I liked my wife’s grilled cheese even better! Oh, try their tomato basil soup. Wow! How did I rate the experience? The facility gets a 3(building, parking), the bathroom gets a 1, the service gets a 5(very nice people), and most importantly the food gets a 5+ and that trumps all the others so I rate the overall experience a 5. Will we go back? Yep, next time we are in Amish Country!

I’ve been here 3 times(with my mom because she loves it) and each time there has been at least a 20 minute wait to be seated.(*Good luck finding parking, though~there are literally only a few spots in front of the restaurant). They did offer menus to look at while waiting. I was hoping that would speed up the process as we would be ready to order when we sat down, but after being seated the waitress was gone like the wind. So we waited… and waited… she finally returned after about 25 minutes & then we waited about 25 minutes again for our food to arrive. If you do happen to need a restroom while waiting, you will find yourself trying to work your way through a maze of crowded tables & people… and after finally making your way to the(single) lone restroom just pray that someone hasn’t beaten you to it, otherwise(like me) you will be awkwardly waiting in the middle of everyone else’s tables because there is just no room to stand. Ok, enough about the environment & on to the food. The menu is VERY small, and I know Gordon Ramsey says to keep menus small but I always have a hard time finding something I might like. There are a handful of sandwiches to choose from and 2 soups and a few salads. I ordered a turkey panini with a side of white chicken chili soup. The cook always makes sure the plates look great adding special garnishes. The soup was amazing, my only complaint would be the tiny bowl wasn’t bigger, but I guess they say to go for quality, not quantity, which they have mastered. My turkey panini was just way too sweet for me. I think I would have enjoyed it more without all the sauce. It was almost wet with the honey-mustard flavor. I ate half and took the other half home to my husband. he said that he did like it, but on the other hand, he likes everything.

Ladies retreat in Amish Country. For lunch we were referred here by an employee of Schrock’s furniture in Millersburg. We didn’t have a data or wifi connection so couldn’t use Unilocal.Little did we know the restaurant had a 5 star review rating. This is an old house converted into a restaurant. It was small with just 3 great living room sized dining areas. They have a waiting area in what looks to be an old 4 season room. We had a 45 minute wait which was actually only 15 – 20 min. The décor has an eclectic cottage feel, somewhat like an old tea house. The menu is average in variety but everything we ordered was tasty and homemade fresh. I had the burger with a side salad. The burger was large and cooked to order. I had the pretzel bun and the side salad was of my choosing(any of the ones on the menu). The herb dressing made the salad and it is on they sell there under the owner’s name. I’d have to say this was a great recommendation! We drove a few miles out of Millersburg but it was beyond worth it!

This place is amazing. We’ve been to a lot of the Amish restaurants and this truly is the best. Standard menu available but they also have daily specials. The pumpkin Apple bacon soup is amazing! They run out quick.

Stopped in on our way through town because of the Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed. My husband and I shared a piece of seven-layer! carrot cake-it tasted like my own recipe which I love. Usually when I order it out it always seems to be lacking something but not this one. It was delicious! We also bought raspberry cheesecake for our son and daughter-in-law. They said it was one of the best, if not the best, they’ve ever had! A little pricy but worth it!

Excellent food and service. My wife has been here several times before and yesterday was my first time. I had the turkey/dill wrap with the cheesy potatoes and my wife had the quiche with the tomato basil soup. Everything was incredible. Although we did not have desert, I hear they have some fantastic selections.

We will drive an hour and bypass all other Amish fare restaurants to eat at Rebecca’s. Wonderful soups, sandwiches and desserts. They never disappoint! Turkey cranberry is one of my favorites. You must go if you are in the area.

We were here on January 5, 2015 We stumbled into this gem because the Amish restaurants were closed for Old Christmas. I ordered the Ham and Swiss Quiche with a side of cheesy potatoes and slice of blueberry bread — $ 9.95. Great service, great good and reasonable price.

Hmm… Four stars for the food, three for some minor issues. We came in on Black Friday, and it was packed. They have a waiting area but it’s not heated, so we got pretty cold. There is free coffee out there though… Once we got seated, service was pretty good. But they have a limited menu(a few sandwiches, two soups, a few salads) and were out of many of the things we wanted. We both ordered burgers, but a few minutes later we found out they only had one left. How does that happen? Anyway, Sweetie picked grilled cheese as an alternate. We shared both. The burger was pretty good, on a fresh bun with good toppings. Her tomato soup side was okay– I’m sure it was homemade, but seemed like gussied-up Campbell’s. My side salad was good. And the grilled cheese was unlike any I’ve ever had. Not complaining– I just expected a really good, basic grilled cheese.(I didn’t read the menu description when we changed orders.) When it arrived, I wasn’t sure it was the right order. «Provolone and pepper jack cheese with cherry butter on cranberry walnut bread.» Yep, that’s exactly what it was, but it transcended that description. So good I wanted more. We’d come back– maybe when it’s warmer and not as busy.

While on a lonely business trip through Walnut creek I was aching for some comfort food, but not the kind that causes you to regret shoving enough carbs to cause hibernation. I found that this small café/bistro was a perfect solution. Turkey melt with thinly sliced apple and a cranberry aioli. Tomato basil bisque with house made seasoned croutons. Shredded potato Au gratin. And a hot cup of mint tea. The staff were so inviting and kind that I felt as if I hadn’t come to eat alone. Thank you for exceeding my expectations.

Rebecca’s Bistro is a lovely break from the rich Amish food for which this area is known. She makes scrumptious salads and the coffee she serves is the best in town. She holds a gourmet night with a 4 course meal the second Friday of each month(September-May) and it is reasonably priced and the best meal you will eat in Holmes County. What I love most about this place is the friendly service and the fact that Rebecca can often be seen greeting her guests with a warm welcome. She is a fabulous and inspiring woman and business owner.

Amazing food! Had the Pumpkin Bacon Apple soup with their grilled cheese that uses 2 cheeses on walnut cranberry bread. Holy Cow — so worth the short wait! Really cute atmosphere, too.

Have you ever eaten somewhere where after each bite it was like heaven in your mouth? Well that’s what eating at Rebecca’s is like. Homemade food which is delicious, and the coffee is amazing! I would highly recommend this as a regular stop whenever your in town. I had the tomato basil soup. It was the best I’ve ever had. And my coffee… I still think about it. Check to see if you need a reservation as you may have to wait for a table. But trust me it’s worth the wait.

Well there’s always a little wait after 11 until they close at 3 but I’ve always thought it was worth it. Today was cheesy potatoes and a blt Cuban sandwich with peach ginger iced tea. Yum.

An excellent place to eat in Amish country. It is a gem for craft food in an otherwise meatloaf and mashed potatoes world of restaurants in the immediate area. Rebecca’s is small though. Expect to wait for a table for a while. The wait is worth it.

Stopped in the area to do some sightseeing. Had lunch at Rebecca’s. Wife and I both had the Turkey with grilled pineapple. May have been the best sandwich that I have ever eaten.
