White Sands Beach Resort

I typically do no write reviews but this place is worthy of a review. My husband and I first booked at Tropical Breeze (sister hotel) we ran into an AC problem and were quickly moved by the most accommodating owner. First off, Tropical Breeze is a great little place steps from the beach… It’s older and a bit small but a great deal if your planning a weekend trip with you family. It has a renovated kitchen, nice bedrooms, and its very clean!
The White Sand resort is right on the beach it has a wonderful pool and we loved going back and forth from beach to pool! We stayed in room 12, it had a very spacious fully equipped kitchen, big screen TV, two double beds, nice bathroom, and roomy family room. The owner and his brother grew up on the property– its been in the family for over 30 years! It has such a little family feel to it… Everyone is so kind and accommodating! On Thurs. night we were surprised with a microwave popcorn and a note on our door about a 9:00 family movie… Perfect for the kids! This is a small resort, great for families or couples looking to be close to the beach and a pool.
I will say that the property is a bit aged on the outside… It’s been around for quite a while. But with all that it has to offer I can’t wait to come back! I absolutely recommend room 11 or 12. Don’t forget to hit the city pier for clam chowder, joes sweets and eats for ice cream, bridge tender inn for blacked grouper, village idiot for the mist amazing pizza and caesar salad and Ginny and Jane E’s for coffee and apricot scones!

Located right on the beach. Appeared clean, however the proprietor was doing outside work and though there was a teenage kid sitting in the office he did not offer help. Fifteen minute wait. I finally went out to search. He was very friendly and very helpful, even though his hotel was full. They run about $ 150/​night. Great location, great looking pool. They have a sister property with no pool, Tropical Breeze, that runs about $ 114. Seemed prim and proper and I would not hesitate to stay at either of these on the beach locations.
