I came to Patricia’s last night with a few friends for the Johnny T show. It was such a great night. We are all school teachers and it was wonderful to have something fun and different during the week to start our summer off! The staff was friendly and service was very prompt and accommodating from the moment that we walked through the door. Everyone had a great attitude and seemed to handle the large crowd with ease. We started off with a few appetizers to share, they were all delicious. You have to try the pulpo made in the wood fired oven, it is to die for! We all loved our entrees so much that we kept passing them around the table until the plates were spotless! We will definitely be returning to Patricia’s and will spread the word. This area needed a place like this badly!

Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in this area or probably most any area! Outstanding service, so much to choose from. Best fried calamari I’ve tasted. My wife and I loved the Parpadelle Bolognese and the Salmon Riveria. Our waiter Jim was on point all the way. The owners were so friendly. This place is a must for everyone!

Patricia’s of homdel is exactly what we needed in this area! The food is absolutely amazing, servers are so friendly and attentive, as well as the owners. Patricia’s is also a BYOB witch makes it that much better. There is something on the menu for everyone, I highly recommend!

Stopped there for lunch one day on a whim. Grilled chicken Caesar was the best I’ve had. Took family and friends there for dinner last week. The staff is pleasant and more than accommodating. The restaurant is spotless with a traditional Italian flair. The owner introduced himself and I truly hope this business succeeds. The best Italian food in the area.

We have visited Patricia’s 6 times since it has opened and it keeps getting better! We spoke with one of the owners, Frank, on making some additions to the menu to include organic and grass fed options. We were so happy to see the menu last night when it included organic chicken and grass fed steak! The steak was so tasty with the tomatoes on top. We also went back today for take out dinner and got the wild salmon! So excited to have this fresh, great quality and delicious food in Holmdel!

I’ve visited Patricia’s a couple of times now with my family and I’m not crazy impressed. The atmosphere is awesome, with a modern Italian look, and the food is definitely good, but to be honest, it’s nothing crazy. The dishes are all the same things you would get at any regular Italian restaurant, and the service is average. I would recommend Frank’s Famous Meatballs as an appetizer and the Lasanga, Veal Parm, or stuffed pasta for dinner. Those are probably the best on the menu.

What a great addition to the shopping plaza. We stopped in a few weeks after opening, coming back from a trip to Peddler’s Village. Had 3 kids with us. Very accommodating and nice. Food was excellent! It was still pretty new but you wouldn’t of been able to tell. Service was excellent. We have been back a few times since and it’s only gotten better!

Very good addition to Holmdel. Great service and ambience. Good portions and the food was delicious. My wife had the chicken parm and I had the pappardelle with bolognese sauce. Both were fantastic.

Wonderful food, atmosphere and dining experience. So happy I can walk to this restaurant anytime… Always fun to chit chat and have wonderful & tasty food as well. Being a BYOB always a plus. Always go here with my family and high school friends. Never a complaint, always a compliment… Welcome Sal & Vinny… to the neighborhood… The Archinaco Family.

Delicious authentic italian food. Large share-able portions. the chicken Francese was soft light, lemony and delicious, parmigian made just right, the fried calimari Was light & crispy, and the margherita pizza so delicious with its buffalo mozzarella and perfect sauce. Presented beautifully and with the best most attentive wait staff(mostly italian). There was a large party across from our family of 4 celebrating a child’s communion and the staff handled everyone excellently. You can’t ask for much else. Got there at around 5:30 pm on a Saturday and within a half hour the place was jam packed… I also recommend the family style dining with includes all courses for $ 55 per person. Depends how hungry you are because as I mentioned portions are big here. Highly recommended…

We heard about Patricia’s from our local Community Mailer. The«Spy» food critic gave it a very good review. Plus the chef came from a place that we love. So Sunday about 3:30 we walked in. We were greeted at the front door. Very friendly. The place was not crowded, it was only 3:30. The menu, plus the review, had our mouths watering. We ordered the meatball appetizer, a stuffed artichoke, Patricia’s pizza(a fresh fig, fig jam, and arugula thin crust), and the veal Milanese. As both my wife and I come from Italian families where the parents/grandparents did the sauce(gravy if you will) cooking. So we rarely order red sauce dishes as they are usually a disappointment. The meatballs arrived. Three slightly smaller than golf ball size in a red sauce with a dollop of ricotta. We both thought, for no reason, that the were going to be dense. We discovered that they were in fact quite good. The perfect texture. Now for the sauce. Well let me say that I was so happy that the meatballs were served with a spoon as I spooned up the slightly sweet sauce. Delicious. Ah now for the artichoke. My wife is the expert on this. It arrived in a bowl with a lot of liquid in the bottom. This confused my wife. We then started pulling the leaves off. Here is where things went a little south for us. The breading was good. Could have used a bit more flavor, maybe garlic. The artichoke itself was not very meaty. The leaves pretty much held the breading. Plus it was a little under done for our tastes. We prefer that when you scrape the leaves that the meat falls away easily. Not that is was tough, just a little too al dente. The heart, the part my wife and her family used to battle over was good, yet a little too firm. Needed a knife to cut it. Next was Patricia’s pizza. A fresh fig, fig jam arugula pizza. My wife questioned the fresh part as figs are not in season, but they were plentiful. Thin crust, but not paper thin. A little doughy, but still very good. We took half home for dinner the next night. We thought about the eggplant. But the skin is left on. We feel that leaving the skin on gives a bitter taste to the eggplant, so we couldn’t try those dishes. A disappointment as they looked and sounded wonderful. Maybe someday Patricia’s will do both ways. But I digress. For the main we shared the Veal Milanese. What arrived at the table was larger than a Frisbee. The salad piled high. It was hot and we cut a few pieces and thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially did the next day for lunch. This was worth the trip. The right amount of crunch but not fried to a piece of leather. Excellent. Now the desserts. Our server said even if we don’t order, we should look at the menu. We found a few items, but decided on the zeppole with canoli cream on the side. For $ 7 we got a basket that we could not finish. Hot, crispy, chewy, everything that you want a zeppole to be. The canoli cream was light and delicious. We took a few of them home as well. As you can see we enjoyed and the portions are large enough to eat there and enjoy again. Some small, personal points here. But we will definitely return to try some of the other dishes. Maybe even a skinless eggplant

Visited Patricias last weekend with a large group of friends. It is BYOB that’s always a plus. When we arrived our table was all set for us. We decided to order family style in order to try different options. The octopus is a must, and the pappardelle bolognese was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive! Give them a try, you won’t be dissapointed. I will definitely be back.

Extremely disappointed. I will never come back here do to terrible food. Pros: Very nice Waiter and very helpful and understandable with our issues. Cons: Bread on table is cold and not toasted. Food took about 50 minutes to come out. Ordered the Fillet Mignon Special to have cooked Medium rare. The Fillet came out over cooked and brown in the middle, not one spec of pink. Wish I took a picture of it to show how bad it was cooked. Sent it back for a new one because it was not edible. After about 13 minutes and everyone else done eating I finally get my meal, which was cooked a little bit better, still not the greatest, and they forgot to put the sauce on the steak which was part of the special, at this point I didn’t want to send it back again so I just ate it. Came with a garlic mashed potatoes which were cold and seemed out of a box. I am not a picky eater, but this was some bad work. All 4 people in my party were not satisfied with there food due to the cooking in the back. Which was surprising because we love the chefs other restaurant. Will never come back

Really sad… This place had potential– really friendly service, but food took over an hour to see an appetizer. Our food had to be sent back because it was overcooked and the Gnocchi was in a burned tomato sauce with charred tomato peels left inside the bowl. Awful and very slow– so disappointed!

My wife and I have gone here often since it opened. As an Italian, I can confirm; they have VERY authentic Italian food. It’s a tad more expensive than other places, but the quality is much higher. Fresh pasta, bolognese with ground veal and pork and the spiedini is phenomenal. On Sunday’s, they have gravy with sausage, meatballs, pork, etc. The pizzas are also very well done! The ONLY complaint I have is the music. It can occasionally be too loud and doesn’t go at all with the atmosphere of the restaurant. 70s funk and quality Italian food is an odd combo. That said, we’ll be there tonight, and probably many times in the future. For us, Patrica’s is the best Italian food you can get south of Paisanos in Rutherford.

So glad I discovered this place on Unilocal. This used to be half pizzeria/half restaurant and I couldn’t believe how different and awesome it looked. It is all open now and they have two big TVs as well, with beautiful décor. We decided to try it out for my dad’s birthday and everyone really enjoyed their food. We started with the meatballs and fried calamari. They also give you bread with an olive oil dipping sauce that was delicious! I had a pizza with arugula, fig, goat cheese, and onions-amazeballs! My parents both had the bolognese pasta, grandpa had the salmon(which they were easily able to swap the escarole for his favorite, green beans), my sister had penne vodka, and my brother had a veal chop special. We ended with the nutella pizza which was heavenly! The food came out pretty fast, especially for a busy Saturday night. I would recommend making reservations because it started to really fill up. Service was excellent(go Amanda!) and everyone left satisfied. I can’t wait to go back and try out other entrees. So glad there’s a new non-chain spot in the area for when I come visit my parents.

Came here with my husband and son on a Friday night. As a new local restaurant we decided to try it. When we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation, lesson #1. No bar, lesson #2BYOB. When a table finally opened up it was right outside the kitchen, no good. It’s a pretty noisy atmosphere with music level on the high side making people yell over it which made me say«what?» about a dozen times. The gentleman who I assumed was the owner seated us and was very friendly and apologetic for the first table. Our second table was placed right in front of a work station so we were frequently interrupted by a waiter trying to work a check for their table. Bad placement on their part. There are two tables that I noticed like this. Our waiter was very nice and went into great details on the meals. Our food although very tasty, took EXTREMELY long. We had, calamari, mussels, gnocchi, steak and pappardelle with bolognese. Our waiter offered to buy us coffee for the long wait. The soda machine wasn’t working so only flat soda for my husband and son. Overall the food was really good but pricey(meal for 3 ppl no dessert or drinks $ 120) it seems this new restaurant has real potential. They just need to work out a few kinks. I’m sure we’ll return in a few months when the dust settles and I’ll review them again!

I was visiting a friend in the area and came across this place. It had a nice atmosphere and I felt welcomed upon entering. I had linguini in crab sauce. It was phenomenal. The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth the trip. We will definitely go back.
