Whiskey Tango Bar & Grill

I had a totally different idea of what whiskey tango would be like. I was thinking more upscale, it’s very sporty and has an ale house feel to it. Didn’t care too much about the crowd either. The hostesses were very sweet. Next time I want to try the baby back ribs. Just went for drinks this time. Nice staff!

We ordered 50 wings and they were gone so quick. Cant wait to come back to Florida again to get them.
Guy who picked up my call though– uh? Different area code in my number really seemed to confuse him quite a bit. Lol.

Tonight is my second time coming. I had to have the Heart Attack Mac and Cheese. Omg. It’s absolutely amazing. With bacon and pork belly.

Located in the heart of downtown, Whiskey Tango is a great option! I love that they have a huge patio area (that is covered)! Nice to sit outside and people watch, it also has a great view of some murals!
They have various lunch specials. I’m hooked on the buffalo chicken wrap! I try to stay somewhat healthy when I go out to eat so having a wrap option is already a plus. The chicken is seasoned and the sauce is great! Not too spicy with a hint of sweet! They have great fries and you can switch to sweet potato fries as well! Ask for the honey sauce with it, you are welcome!
They have nice happy hour specials and various events throughout the week. 50 cent wings on Wednesday, ladies night on Tuesdays, live music on Friday & Saturday and brunch Sunday’s with bottomless mimosas & bloody Mary’s!

I have known and frequented this place for years. Every time I leave disappointed, I try to give it another shot. Today, I was craving one of their tasty vegetarian dishes and I have been to Tango in months. Since I live across the street, I walked over to place a to-​go order.
There is a family of 3 in front of me waiting to talk to the hostess and a party of 2 behind me. I wait for 5 minutes while the hostess seats the family in front of me. I then grab a menu to see what I want.
The hostess then comes back after another 2 minutes and seats the two gentlemen behind me… completely skipping me and not even acknowledging me… if fact she looks at the menu I’m holding and since only had one for the 2 gentlemen, she says to me «I’m gonna steal this from you».
Ok. Cool. I know what I’m getting so I give it up.
I proceed to wait about another ²⁄₃ minutes and still no acknowledgement from any staff as they all seem confused on how to seats tables. Four staff members including the hostess all conjugating by the patio door with confused looks on their faces.
I end just just walking home to cook myself.
The staff is what always turns me away from this bar that has great food, inexpensive drinks, good bartenders, an awesome downtown location but the waitstaff and hostesses haven’t a clue. I always think they might revamp their training program but it seems its hasn’t changed in years. Bring back the Whiskey that I knew 5 years ago!

5 stars for Gabby. The drinks here are not the greatest, the food not the best but Gabby really went above and beyond with great knowledge of the menu and a great personality to match.

Hmmm nothing special… not saying it’s bad but just another sports bar… bar food… service was OK… People were nice but there is nothing that would want me to be there every week…

Great local spot, tasty wings, entertaining music and an overall cool vibe. Lots of variety of craft beers Amber is awesome even on a Monday she makes it happen and provide great service. Definitely recommend this place for a good time.

They know how to make things fun
I have lived in downtown Hollywood twice and seen many pubs/​bars/​restaurants come and go. In fact this exact location has has 4 different tenets. But this is the bar that stuck. Its been here for a few years now.
What are they doing right? Well the outside bar is the best in downtown. Not the best food by any means, but a fun ambiance. It’s part townie bar and part tourist. Not a bad mix when you think about it. And if your a smoker or a smoker in your group (my family still smokes), it’s a restaurant and bar that they can smoke at.
It’s large and just off the main blvd. The inside is big enough for any event. They have bands often, live mike night, and maybe a lil more Kareoke than I would approve of.
I recommend hitting many places in my downtown Holllywood, but for sure pop into WT.

The Bangkok Hangover burger is amazing. The Sriracha Chicken Bites are amazing. The only thing better than the food is the service I get from Makenzie, my server.
Overall, this place is Hollywood’s Cheers. Great food, great serve, and the eye candy doesn’t hurt.

chicken wings are extremely legit… get the lightly crispy cracked pepper wings … they come in 8 only…
I’ve had a few friends tell me how legendary this place is. Next time I’m gonna try the Mac n cheese someone recommended to me.

I’ve been to this place many times before. The last time I was there it was about a year ago. This time the menu was changed for the better, better choices then fried food. The lobster pizza caught my eye and decided to try it. I asked for the pizza to be crisped. The pizza came with a whole salad on top which was over kill. I guess it was to hid the very dry tiny chunks of lobster claw. I asked for it to be crisp, not dry. So I picked at it, at the cheese part.
I love coming here because I usually have my dog with me and they are very dog friendly. Will I be back? Yes but next time I’ll get a burger instead.

I was very iffy with this place. I walked in, had one vodka cranberry and left. My drink was so weak I joked that it was straight cranberry juice. The one bar area they had open on a Saturday night was full and felt unwelcoming. I love this area but this one bar in particular felt like a tourist trap and I won’t be returning. I would expect the atmosphere from a bar on the sands of Hollywood Beach but not in downtown.
I will certainly give them another chance when I am hungry so I can check out what their food is like.

Nice nightlife spot in Hollywood blvd. Good music and great ambiance. The food is just ok and the service is good. Host at the entrance really friendly and helpful!!!

How I have missed this place with all my visits to the Fort Lauderdale area is beyond me! But I am sure glad I can add it to my list of places to hang out when I am in town.
We were stalling. Yep. Stalling on the way to airport. What better place to do that than a bar in Florida on a warm sunny day with plenty of outdoor seating. But even if the outdoor bar isn’t your thing, know that there are also two large bars inside as well.
I liked that from the moment we entered the place, the manager warmly greeted us and told us to «sit anywhere» and he would bring us some menus. Our server was over in a jiffy and we had cold drinks in our hands and a list of the specials of the day. And the regulars in the place were also very welcoming, asking us where we were heading back to and offering up where they were all from originally and what brought them to this little slice of paradise.
On this day the specials were $ 2 tacos– sounded like just the plan before jumping on that plane so I ordered a selection of beef and chicken. They came up so fast that we had barely sipped our drinks.
There is also a large stage here, and as our server informed us, there are nightly activities that take place here ranging from live band karaōke, to regular karaōke to live music on weekends. This place clearly knows how to have fun.
Far too quickly we had to pay our bill and head out. But what a great last experience to have before jumping on that place to head back to the frozen tundra I call home.

We used to love this place. Never again. The only good thing was our server. Food went from fun, sports bar to absolute garage. Then they charged me three times for one item. I asked to talk to manager and they only took one off. Friends in Hwd — a lot of them and I will never bring them here.
Yuck. Not. Ever. Again.

This is the reason we came here to America 400 hundred years ago. Have a cheeseburger while you watch football after you’ve taken a shot of whiskey. You tell me of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Yes two shots of Whiskey would make that better.
This is the best bar on Hollywood Boulevard. It always has plenty of places to sit even during nights where Ronda is getting kicked in the face. There’s almost always some kind of food or drink special. It’s Tuesday why not get some $ 1 tacos and then drink for free because I’m a female. Hot damn that’s a good deal.
The food is actually pretty good too and come in huge portions. I know everyone talks about the burgers but I’m all about the buffalo chicken wrap and the cobb salad. That cobb salad is bigger than the baby you left with the sitter, and it doesn’t crap everywhere.
Whiskey Tango gets 5 Footballs out of 5. There really isn’t any issues I’ve ever had with this bar. Quick service, good prices, and good food. Get some whiskey in your face and then ask your table neighbor to tango. This place is all about the booty!

I went to whiskey tango last night for a birthday. They were very accommodating and gave us a table right away for 15 people. We hadn’t planned on ordering any food, but I am so glad we did. We ordered the boneless wings in the medium sauce. They were amazing!!! They were probably the best boneless wings I have ever eaten. They tasted just as good as bone in wings, which is very hard to find (I only eat boneless wings). Also the band they had playing was great! They played a lot of popular cover songs in all different genres of music. I will definitely be back to try more on their menu. It was a wonderful experience.
In addition to all of this awesomeness they had some kind of alcohol promotion going on and they gave our table tons of free shots and free t shirts! It was a great night.

My first day in Hollywood and I stopped here for a late lunch. I sat outside in the tiki bar area. I was promptly greeted by my server who informed me today is my lucky day! They were running $ 5 specials on pulled pork sandwiches and burgers. Also $ 5 Titos vodka and any mixer.
I ordered a titos and lemonade which seemed like a refreshing choice and the pulled pork. My drink was tasty and quite strong. The sandwich on the other hand was just okay. It literally was a plain old hamburger bun and a scope of pulled pork, no toppings, no grilled bun, just kind of plain and boring. I also ordered a side of what I was told was «spicy queso fries» but turned out to be fries with squeeze cheese. I had just gotten to town and had been starving so I’d eat anything at that point but it wasn’t the best meal ever. But since it only cost $ 5 it was good enough.

I was here once before for a quick drink on the outside patio while I waited for my pizza and I truly did not like the Margherita I had gotten. It was weak and watery. And trust me, I’m not really one to complain! The server was great on the contrary!
I gave it a second try since I’m staying with family across the street and I can hear the music from the pool. Ashley was the bartender. She was quick to serve me an excellent Long Island Ice Tea! Satisfied experience :)
