This gallery is truly a gem in Los Angeles! Beautiful space and friendly, helpful staff. We rented out the space for an event and were very pleased. The outside area has a koi pond, fire place and strung lights, which provides great atmosphere. I second what the other reviewers have said about their openings. Definitely get on their mailing list, as they’re a ton of fun. Delicious food and drinks and beautiful furniture/art!

Heard about this place from a friend and was really impressed. The gallery is absolutely beautiful and a great place to visit to find some creative inspiration. I was looking for some vintage 60s/70s pieces for my place and found their staff very knowledgable and extremely friendly and helpful. I second the review that mentioned their openings. Get on their mailing list so you can be a part of these wonderful events. They’re so much fun and they always showcase great designers and pieces.

This gallery is amazing! It is mid-century modern at its best. The gallery has a wide array of furniture and art that is timeless, yet fresh. Love the Brazilian pieces and the exquisite beauty of the reclaimed exotic woods. The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, the staff is helpful, creative, and efficient. A must see gallery in LA.

THG focuses on mid-century modern Brazilian furniture. Thomas is a master craftsman and an engaging personality. See if you can get him to show you what the furniture looks like before it’s refurbished so you’ll have a greater appreciation of the work that goes into it. His staff is friendly and approachable, and they’ll make you a coffee while you peruse a wonderful collection of furniture, art, and decorative works. Highly recommended!

Whether looking for a single signature piece of fine design/decorative arts or outfitting an entire home, visiting Thomas Hayes Gallery is a must. The gallery carries outstanding examples of California craft, Danish design(fantastic Finn Juhl and Hans Wegner pieces), classic American decorative arts(Robsjohn-Gibbings, Wormley and Baughman, to name a few) and continental pieces(De Sede and Maison Jansen, in addition to others). The gallery represents several fine artists, and carries modern and contemporary fine art. Thomas Hayes Gallery also has a custom line of furniture and lighting, which I have found to be of uniformly high quality. Thomas Hayes Gallery really excels when it comes to vintage and contemporary Brazilian design and decorative arts. The gallery carries an incredible selection of amazing pieces from the luminaries of the Brazilian design world: Joaquim Tenreiro, Sergio Rodrigues, Zanine Caldas, Oscar Niemeyer, Jorge Zalszupin and Zanini de Zanine. If you are interested in acquiring an investment-quality piece of design from Brazil(which is sure to get more attention given the upcoming World Cup and Olympics to be held there), Thomas Hayes Gallery is the place to find it. The gallery itself is spacious, comfortable and well-curated. The owner, Thomas Hayes, is extremely outgoing, friendly and energetic, and you will instantly find yourself in an animated conversation with him. Alison Garrett, the gallery director, is always available to make sure that your experience there is outstanding, whether you are just browsing or are looking for a specific piece. Visiting the gallery feels like a comfortable social event with friends, not the usual intimidating gallery experience. My experiences purchasing pieces from THG have been universally outstanding. Pieces are well-cared for, and the gallery can assist you in arranging for a shipper.

Thomas Hayes Gallery is one of my favorite places to shop, even when I’m not buying. They have great coffee and don’t mind if you take your time and hang out in the gallery. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and patient. They have both great art and furniture, especially amazing pieces from Brazil. Also, if you have time to attend one of their opening exhibits, do so! They’re so fun and they have a beautiful, outdoor patio area with a great fire pit. So cool.
