I love coffee bean so much more than Starbucks!
Since I work on the boulevard it is inevitable. But I don’t want to come here anymore because lately I am so disappointed in the staff, they are either very rude or very inexperienced. I mean I understand that there are new people and that you have to train them but how can you get my order wrong 3 times??? I also understand it’s busy and they stress out and maybe because of that they can be rude, not everyone can control stress and be kind at the same time. The job is not for them… in that case put someone more experienced and confident to serve and give good customer service. There is this one employee… She happens to be there almost every time I go and always has an attitude. She leans on the till and looks like she is really tired and moody even her service is not that great. She never smiles she looks like she doesn’t want to be there at all. I mean we all have our bad days but I think every day is a bad day for her. I am always hoping she is not going to be there and if I see her I always think about it twice before going in. I still love coffee bean I just absolutely hate this location. I miss the old staff members. I guess while at work I will just have to go to Starbucks… no lunchtime coffee bean :((((

Worst customer service. Dude with dreads was really rude. Didn’t smoke, didn’t even look at us, was busy talking to coworkers instead of helping us. We waited for a good 5 minutes while he was chit chatting before he took our order.

The staff is so warm, considerate and have impeccable social skills. I’ve never actually been to another coffee bean that had such wonderful staffing. A+ to whomever managed creating that and the culture at this store. Homogeneously, they make customers feel important and familiar.
These people are so good, that it makes me wonder about the common denominator; the person who hires or selects people for this store. While I’ve obviously been to many CBTL, this one stands out.
The management is stellar. Gabby and Anna (I think I have their names right)
Occasionally, I see that they are short staffed (this is normal for corporate jobs when people call in sick) and Anna is left there to make «the machine» run to the satisfaction of the customers. Unbeknownst to the customers waiting, Anna is whipping out drinks to keep customer-​expectations satiated — and the short-​staffing invisible to the customer by making sure everything is done in the same time as would occur if all the employees were there (perhaps faster). This location would be in trouble without her.
In truth, I have a CBTL coffee maker, but regardless of my convenience to make coffee at home, the enjoyment I get out of seeing my «friends» will keep me coming back until the changing of the guard is so comprehensive that the culture of the store changes.
Yes, I realize this review could feel SO glowing as to call in to question the validity and sincerity of the review… I’m the goofy guy with the beard who’ll be in there every day.

The baristas are friendly and if they make a mistake with your drink, they offer you the erroneous one as well as making your drink order correct. It’s a great place to study and people watch as well.

I love the ambiance in here. It’s very clean and inviting. The service is fantastic! I ordered the large iced coffee with dark chocolate mixed in which comes with 3 shots of espresso. I specifically like how they use crushed ice instead of ice cubes. I much prefer this place over Starbucks!

Having a Coffee Bean Americano on Hollywood Blvd definitely gets 5 stars from me. Love this place.

My favorite place on Hollywood Blvd. to hang out and people watch. The Manager (Kyle) is very professional and takes the time to listen to customers and share ideas to improve quality of business.

My favorite location ever!!! Wonderful staff, best service! Most of the staff are great! Love their drinks and pastries! Oh, their ready packed sandwiches are good too, the Smoked Salmon Sandwich and also the Eggs, Spinach & Cheese is good! My go to drink would probably be the Iced Café Latte (almond milk), their teas are the best! Iced/​hot, sweet/​regular! My favorite one is the Passionfruit Sweet tea, definitely refreshing! Their ice blended drinks are amazing too! My favorite is the Black Forest with a extra shot and also make it extreme to definitely keepp you going! Wifi is great and little cool area to chill/​study. Definitely better than Starbucks!

Walked in here with my gf and asked for a blended coffee… the gentleman or should I say kid working at the register was very rude and unprofessional. I am willing to explain what happened but I don’t want to because I don’t want this employee to lose their job…

Nice staff, but don’t bother with oatmeal if you want raspberries… they are very stingy with them at least at this location.

DO NOT come here if your passing by. Very bad service. They don’t even listen to your order properly and give you what they like. The people working are very carless and rude.

Unfortunately I was not satisfied with my service or bagel and coffee. They hesitated to make a caramel macchiato which shouldn’t be hard to add some caramel syrup into it and then when I got it, the drink was about 2 inches low and then another inch of foam. The bagel was hardly toasted. Finally, out of the 3 employees, not one was friendly and didn’t smile once within the 15 minutes I was there.

I love the Coffee Bean but this places bathroom is disgusting! The toilet was full of black mold. I makes me wonder what behind their counter looks like…

This store is in a really convenient location. The customer service I received the evening I was there was excellent. very friendly, very helpful!

This Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location had a few costumed characters outside. Purpose for stopping in was to buy a bottle of water, and to have my ticket stamped for a 1 hour parking validation.
Did notice that the shop was clean. There were a few chairs and tables to sit at for enjoying your coffee or tea. Restroom was available for customers.
Not a bad place to stop at on Hollywood Blvd.

Place is always busy, you may find yourself next to Superman or the Incredible Hulk. Wink…

This is my go to coffee spot. The employees are all super friendly, especially marquise and ariel. They will recommend drinks (they give honest opinions), always greet with a smile on their faces, and will continue to give consistent service. The drinks are always spot on, and they will even adjust or customize drinks according to your preferences. Great great coffee spot. Of course there is the usual Elvis or Spiderman from Hollywood Blvd who walks in from time to time.

The Coffee Bean is wonderful. I found myself at this place during our entire Cali trip. Every city I went to, there was the Coffee Bean, the ever reliable coffee shop. And every time I got an iced chai tea. Not the latte, just the tea.
Now, this order alwaysss confuses Starbucks. Starbucks has given me iced chai tea lattes every single time. I don’t want some sugary latte, people. Just give me chai tea. Please. When I order, I make sure I’m super clear in saying that I don’t want the latte and they seem to get it. But no Starbucks, you never get it.
Coffee Bean you always get it. And this is why I love you. Please move over to Chicago. Thank you.

Oubliez Starbucks, si vous êtes à LA tentez le Coffee bean. Je vous conseille le Chai Latte d’ailleurs :) /​/​Il y a un choix de petites choses à manger, mais les boissons sont vraiment sympas. Des travaux ont été réalisés récemment dans le CBTL de Hollywood Bvd pour que l’espace de préparation soit tout au fond de l’établissement. Lorsque nous nous y sommes rendus les nouvelles recrues n’étaient pas tout à fait au point mais tant pis: le coffee bean c’est le coffee bean.
Si vous voulez acheter des tasses ou autres jolis produits collectors: allez dans un autre coffee bean, ici ils né vendent que du café en vrac et quelques gobelets.
