Still good but not what they use to be. I now prefer publix I use to eat sub center twice a week, I was a huge fan. But now that the quality of the subs has gone down and the prices up, I find myself being disappointed with my food. I go probably three times a year now.(SUBSAREMYFAVORITEFOODSO I TAKETHISSERIOUSLYLOL)

Been coming to this place for over 25 years, they never disappoint. I moved down south for many years and finally moved back to Broward and I can’t be more pleased to see they have not changed. Delicious subs no matter what you order.

I order the Philly cheesesteak with provolone cheese, mushrooms, and caramelized onions. It is the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever eaten.

I drive 32 minutes every time I crave their Philly cheese steak sub. Best subs in Broward., but beware once you try one you’ll be hooked!

When I get the craving to be a fatty, I usually crave a nice big sandwich. With that in mind, the portions at Sub Center are enormous. When I felt the weight of the bag from my Philly Cheesesteak I knew I wasn’t going to be able to eat even half of it — the sandwich weighed a good 3 – 4 lbs, not even exaggerating. The interior is very simple and old school. There is enough room to walk to the counter, make your order and wait for it to be made. The service is, unfortunately, on par with most of South Florida. I was obviously a «newbie» to the establishment and instead of offering to be helpful, they seemed annoyed by me. I came on a Tuesday evening when there were only about two other customers in the store and the food was made rather quickly(about 5 minutes). At first I thought the large Philly Cheesesteak($ 12.18) was way overpriced, but once I saw the portion I could see why. Between two of us we couldn’t even finish ¾ of the sandwich, which warmed up great the next day. While the portion of meat is tremendous, I wish the meat had a little more flavor. I ordered it the traditional style — onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese whiz, but it still wasn’t anything like the real thing. Disappointing as it may have been, it’s still the best Philly I’ve had in South Florida and I will probably be back again when the craving strikes.

Happened to be car shopping in the area and the many positive reviews led me here. Customers inside recommended the chicken philly and tuna sub and that’s what I got. The tuna sub was ok. The chicken philly was good I just wished it had more of the peppers and mushrooms. Wifey loves tuna subs normally but to her it was just ok, not better than Russo’s tuna she said but both sandwiches were better than Publix. They are conveniently located near sr7 and the turnpike so if you’re traveling, it’s a convenient stop to make. But what’s up with the no bathrooms open to the public? Anyway, parking up front is tight, but there’s more in the rear. No inside seating, but there’s a courtyard with patio tables and umbrellas on the side where you can feed the little birds that live inside the bushes. :)

Used to love this place. Quality has gone down in the last couple of years. Last time the bread was stale & skimped on the toppings. Too bad

This place is insane. Ordered a Philly with cheese, BBQ, onions and hot peppers. Yeah I know, I’m great at ordering. The custom made sub was legit. Probably one of the best subs I’ve had in a long time. Only regret is that I got a half lol.

Yummy! I had the foot long cheesesteak and oh my gawd it was awesome. I couldn’t finish it because it was too much, but it was worth the money. I will be going back when I’m in town.

Me and my 2 siblings got a steak and cheese with onions and lettuce tomato mayo. we were utterly disappointed. Omg. NOFLAVOR! Go to Sunny’s on Taft Street if you want a real cheesesteak. Trust me. We were so hungry and this just made us hungrier. Just imagine eating something that you can’t taste. You chew and swallow it, but you taste nothing. Will never go here again. Now maybe their cold subs are really good, but I definitely judge a sandwich shop based on hot subs. The 2 girls that work there were so nice and friendly. We joked around and laughed. But that was the only thing nice about this place. We asked if they could put salt/pepper on the steak while they cooked it on the flat top. She said no. She put garlic powder on it-which was random-but you couldn’t even taste that.

Wow!!! I heard of this lil spot and finally stopped by. My first time had a bbq steak n cheese… I wasn’t very impressed with the taste and really greasy. But the bread was very soft, veggies super fresh and it was an humongous overfilled sandwich… With all that and the reviews I told myself I’ll come back n try the tuna. So today I came back… Shut the front door it’s freaking amazing… I’m a lifer, this will be my cold sub go to every time I’m in broward! Btw the cheddar bacon cheese is soooo worth it! Next up will be the chicken!

It’s pretty simple. Small, hole in a wall sub shop that delivers huge, cheap, incredible tasting subs! There’s something about the bread they use here that is so fresh, and they load your sub with fresh veggies, and even caramelized onions or mushrooms if you please. The tuna sub is a must! Hands down the best tuna sub I ever tried! Cons: It is always packed with people since it’s so tiny and because it’s close by st rd 7. Still 5 star worthy in my opinion though!

Sub Center 7÷30÷15 corner Hollywood blvd &441 — they have own parking lot, family owned since 1961 !! — Quaint free standing building next to another building they own a custard shop in same parking lot. No real décor in this small shop, no music, seating is outside only, on 6 old school stone tables, Ceiling Air Vents were clean, but dust on top of a security camera was bad. No public restroom, but offers hand sanitizer. (Sorry, No travelers check lol) Plenty of Staff that is fairly young, efficient & in work mode. Drinks small self serve fountain soda, bonus points for having Fanta Birch Beer. I have eaten here before, but was encouraged to go back because, I was looking for a new philly cheese steak shop, since the one I have been going to has fallen off in quality, but up in price! Well guess what? I now have a new Philly steak shop. What I need to normally order is a 12″ sub at old place — here at Sub Center the 6″ was loaded w/steak. & all toppings. I got the combo, more bonus points for having in combo choice a few Lays Baked chips. I ordered to go a tuna sub. Very good overall, but the tuna is a little too mayo mix creamy & not tuna meat enough for my taste. The tuna sub was made better, w/the chipotle mayo & diced tomatoes, mushroom, red onion, shredded lettuce, cheddar bacon cheese on whole wheat. All Vegetable toppings are fresh & put on properly by the staff. This little walk in shop does a brisk business. I saw them making a large«Fresh Salad» it was huge & it looked great, a must try in the future. New go to sub shop spot for me. Open 7 days a week approx 8am to 10pm less on Sunday. Cost $ 11 a combo — plus tip on / value level — good Rating 8.5 of 10

Sub Center is your classic hole-in-the-wall, unassuming, local legend. The neighborhood and location are nothing to write home about in any stretch of the imagination, and if you did not know about the place, you may not stop. Don’t let that deter you though. The subs, both hot and cold, are made to order. the staff is very friendly and attentive. the environment is inviting. Mostly though, the food is good. There is something about a small local place that has been opened for many years that screams culture, quality, and excitement. It is the places like Sub Center that makes a city feel like home. It is the kind of place you end up missing when you move away because unlike Applebees or Wendys, you are not going to find a Sub Center in Minneapolis. Give them a try with the cherry cream soda from the fountain and leave with happiness oozing from your pores.

Hands down the best sub place in Hollywood. They’ve been here for a very long time and are a hit with the locals. Try the Philly cheesesteak, filled with yummy vegetables grilled just for your sandwich. It does take a few minutes so I typically order it over the phone about 20 minutes before and it’s usually ready when I get there. Their zesty Italian is also amazing, filled with multiple kinds of meat which help make it oh so flavorful! Do not miss this place and try one of those two subs and you won’t be disappointed! Only issue is that they have limited seating, all patio tables outside and I don’t believe there’s a restroom. So I usually take mine to go. Then after you’ve gotten your subs, head over to Siciliano’s next door for delicious frozen custard. No need to move your car, it’s in the same parking lot!

This satisfies me more than Subway and Publix combined. I order my usual oven roasted turkey and swiss sub. Everything is fresh-tasting and filling, but PLEASE check the dates on the chips! I opened a bag of Harvest Cheddar SunChips after leaving. I wondered why they tasted a little zingy until I looked at the date. «Guaranteed fresh until Jun 2.» It’s Jun 26th! I was horrified. I don’t think I will be getting chips from here anymore. And if you can’t resist, check the freshness dates!

Great subs, awesome cookies. Unassuming, small building with a glass front hids the hustle and bustle of the black-t-shirt wearing youthful work crew that behind the tall counter assembles your sandwich to your exact specifications. The subs are monster size with really fresh ingredients.

Great little joint in Hollywood, second sub in 3 nights and the subs are not only tasty but they are also not greasy. They don’t skimp out on the meat, I will definitely be going back soon than later. A handful of people ordered the tuna sub so that’s on my list. It is a little pricey for a foot long($ 10) but you get quality and a lot of it, might I add every veggie is fresh. I’ll let my photos speak for themselves I only wish they were open late.

I can’t figure out why this place doesn’t have more Unilocal reviews. It’s really awesome. The place is busy, but they are amply staffed and the service is friendly and there is seriously positive energy here. I had an errand during lunch that brought me to this side of town which forced me into grabbing and going for lunch, and I remembered this place. I decided to swing by on my way back to the office. I was surprised at how busy it was even before 11AM. I got nervous when I saw the amount of cars in the lot outside, but as soon as I walked in, I knew I would be okay. They immediately asked me for my order, and one of the ladies took it all the way. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich plain, and everything was sliced and prepared it fresh. There was talk in the shop about who the People’s sexiest man alive was… I remembered it was that guy who plays Thor. Darn I couldn’t remember his name, but I went ahead and shouted out«THOR!» Then everyone(customers included) started talking about that guy, and no one else could remember his name either. It was a funny conversation. The next thing I know my sandwich was ready. During our banter, 3 other customers had paid and left and several others had come in and were being helped. These people have their act together. Several customers mentioned that this was the best place to go for subs. I paid with my card, and I was on my way. It was very fast, and I didn’t mind being in that place with that group of people. They were a nice group and everyone had manners, which seems to be the exception these days. I got back to my office and unwrapped my sandwich to find it was hot and packed with meat. But would it be tasty? I took a bite and OMG! It was delicious! I thought, «I know the first bite is always good, but there must be gristle. There is ALWAYS gristle!» Nope! Each bite after the next was just as tender and delicious. I was hooked. I have to say, this is another great find that I wish were closer to my office. I would definitely be a regular. I took Hubby the other half and he agreed even after the sandwich had been in the fridge half the day. It was that good! After talking with Kevin C, who was there the same day and I was, I understand their tuna is also awesome. I will be trying that as well, as I love good tuna. If you find yourself near 441 and on Hollywood Blvd, head east and it will be on your left, in a tiny free standing building with the Sub Center sign right on the building.
